Is it much different than the fact that most men will pay or cuddle for free, while most women will only cuddle (with men at least) for pay. That might be a good disparity to correct 😆
@CuddyBuddy14 No, that's the "all cuddling should be free" thread.
@Mark maybe there should be a "men should cuddle other men" mega thread? It's constantly being brought up (like pro pricing/charging), becomes contentious and combative, then ends up locked. It would probably save the mods a lot of work.
@starrynitecuds I made an official "ghosting " megathread but people kept on making new threads. It doesn't work
@theCuddleDrgn I think you are misunderstanding why many people are here on the site. I'm not here for therapy or to be anyone's therapist. I just enjoy lying in bed with a woman, listening to music and talking. I wouldn't enjoy that with a man, and don't appreciate anyone telling me I'm doing it wrong, or worse that I am toxic and oppressive, by only participating in this in the way that I enjoy. I don't like Thai food either but no one has tried to claim that I am toxic or oppressive for not eating it.
@CuddyBuddy14 I would have to take issue with your claim that most women will only cuddle men for pay. Perhaps that is true in your area (I can't say), but in my area, based on a search, there are as many active enthusiasts showing up as there are pros.
@btc13 im not misunderstanding, I dm’ed you
@Mike102 so you're Mark, the site owner? Pretty sure he's the only one who can mandate that kind of thread.
I'm guessing mods don't have the ability to merge threads. Mods were able to do that on another forum i frequented and it worked really well. So when threads like this were started, they were merged with existing threads. And the conversation continued.
They also had a sub-forum where people could talk about more sensitive things. That worked great too.
@starrynitecuds you must be confusing me with someone else, my name is mike. Easy mistake to make
@Mike102 reread her post. It's a little literary device we like to call sarcasm. Deployed in this case to make a point. Unless I'm wrong. @starrynitecuds can speak for herself.
@jimmylee and @starrynitecuds is the sarcasm that I cant make that thread? Because I can and have done in the pass, like I said. I can show you how to before I delete my account if you want
Yes, @Mike102 , you can create a thread, but you can't mandate that type of thread to the community. There's a huge difference.
@Mike102 no, the sarcasm was calling you Mark, the owner of this site.
@starrynitecuds I'm actually on good terms with the mods, I can pass on the message and make it a mandatory thread for you if you want. It's a good idea
I wouldn't say so. While people are free to voice their opinion, you are known for trolling and baiting in the forums. After reading OP and the last couple pages of this thread it looks like the conversation was derailed and has become a sarcastic mess with you at the center of it. Seems like you need a timeout to cool off [netrunner]
What exactly is a "mandated/mandatory" the thread. I'm unaware of such a beast.
12/18/2024 ....... .... I just mandated it! 🤪
@GuyverGordon I see what you did there. 😉
I'm a high school teacher and education consultant. I remember teaching the students about a "mandate." I said, "That's what Rebecca wishes she could get." I'm pretty sure that went over their heads (Rebecca, my fantastic TA, got it and laughed/scoffed).
@jimmylee 😆
MOD If this thread is going to get back to discuss the original topic OP was making, I will leave the thread open, but if anyone else plans to continue with the sarcastic remarks with Mike102, I will have to close the thread and put them in a timeout as well.
Society has made it almost impossible for straight men to cuddle other straight men. So guys, even if you dont cuddle and are straight men, please make more guy friends and you can be supportive in other ways.
And about being vulnerable, please share only to the extent necessary for safety of both parties but check is the person is a narcissist. Vulnetability hurts a lot when one party is a narcissist. 1 in 5 people are narcissists. It is plenty.
According to @anyman123 a typical roomful of 35 people would have 7 narcissists in it! But, ime, Narcissists are territorial and they would eat each other alive if they were in such proximity.
I think 1 person in a hundred is a better estimate.
🐵

@MonkeyNeedsAHug Interesting. I read through most of that article and got the impression that what many people refer to as "narcissism" is simply a positive self-image and high self esteem. Yes, there is also the harmful kind (the example given of Gaston from Disney was amusing), and I agree that its probably closer to 1% rather than 20%
@Jubal yeah it seems that we learn a new word or thing and then just use it without knowing what it means. We just have an idea it's bad and then everything that you don't like is that thing. I'm not sure why we are so prone to do that.
I enjoyed reading this thread. A lot of PC correct answers. No one wants to state the obvious.
@SlimBrown62 And the obvious is?
@anyman123 society didn't do that, that's the natural response
society didn't do that, that's the natural response
What's your source for this?
I dunno, I am homosexual and I am humbled and shocked by the high amount of heterosexual men here open to cuddling other men, or "anyone". It sets this site aside. I think its beautiful. It gives me hope I can be intimate but not sexual with my own kind and develop wider friendships. I appreciate those mens open hearts.
