I find that a lot of winter/Christmas themed movies lack depth and many are only worth watching once, but the Holdovers is one of those few that's worth rewatching. Also, some of the themes in the movie are fairly relevant to this site.
I saw it at AFS Cinema last year at Christmas and loved it. I bought the blu-ray and plan to watch it every few years.
It’s a great film! I planned on watching it after dropping my kids with their dad for the holiday. I feel somewhat like the characters…not getting to be with the people I love over Christmas. Happy you brought this up, and hippie other folks will give it a watch.
