People over Profit$

[Deleted User]RenaissanceEQ (deleted user)

Are there any people (cuddlers and pro cuddlers) here who like to offer or be involved in free cuddles or virtual sessions? If so, how was your experience? I wanted to spotlight those in this thread who are like-minded to connect with people who truly, specifically care about the experience of nurturing people's well-being over the pay-compensation results, respectively.

From my experience, I've enjoyed interpersonal experiences in getting to know people, even hanging out in public. I love the feeling of uninterrupted time where people spend more time with me than they originally planned. I like that my meetings feel organic and authentic rather than just business.

  • Loads of cuddlers that cuddle for free, they aren't going to be of the 'pro' variety for obvious reasons. Also, the women that do this are going to be quite selective about who they are willing to cuddle.

  • [Deleted User]jimmylee (deleted user)

Yes. Right here. All my cuddling is absent of any fee. While it has been suggested that I should start charging, that's not "my jam "

  • [Deleted User]RenaissanceEQ (deleted user)

    @jimmylee that's what up!!! ✊🏽

  • [Deleted User]CharlesGrove (deleted user)

I’m happy to host and cuddle and exist with anyone that I know and trust.

Tragically, almost all of those people have lives hundreds of miles away, or are dead.

  • [Deleted User]jimmylee (deleted user)

@RenaissanceEQ you're creating this post is a bit confusing, since you charge.

  • edited December 2024

Deleted because I don’t agree w Ops stance on pro cuddling.

@jimmylee The charge on my page was set on default from the site. I don't charge or negotiate unless someone wants to mutually.

  • [Deleted User]jimmylee (deleted user)

@RenaissanceEQ Now I'm really confused. lol So, you're a "pro" but you don't charge?

  • [Deleted User]RenaissanceEQ (deleted user)

Lol yes sir I'm a pro. I honestly prefer the interpersonal experience than just the business transactions (People over Profit). As a pro, I can contact and schedule people upfront if I want to meet up or get to know them. Pros can market their profile than just being a regular client.

  • I am absolutely an enthusiast who pays her own way.
As long as someone is respectful from the very beginning and is willing to do the work, I enjoy meeting with people. Unfortunately, too often they think my profile is a joke and after 3 messages it's private cuddle time.
I recently had a 3 hour meet and greet with a potential cuddle buddy just chatting at Panera, that segued into hanging out at Walmart (behaving like kids) and then sharing a pizza. Total time: 6 hours. Not bad since I said it would just be 30 minutes. LOL We went to a movie (and cuddled) another time.
(Note: I don't use my cuddle buddies as a free meal or free movie ticket. I pay for my own travel and 50/50 on a hotel.)

I don’t think there is an issue with male pros cuddling at no charge because male pros pay a monthly fee, not a fee per session. Though there is an issue if a man becomes a pro to use free cuddles as an incentive to cuddle others (especially other pros) or as a means to swap contact info. It would also be an issue if they are presenting it as if they are doing someone a solid by cuddling for free as that would be disingenuous and possibly manipulative to unsuspecting clients. That is more on a case-by-case basis though. I need to ask the admins.

  • [Deleted User]jimmylee (deleted user)

@RenaissanceEQ I'm not exactly sure that's how being a pro works on this site, but more power to you.

  • [Deleted User]jimmylee (deleted user)

@starrynitecuds I love this post (i.e. your reply). It's at least one example of how things can work here.

  • @brownglucose I'm with you.
@RenaissanceEQ a male cuddle provider boasting about giving away free sessions because they believe in authenticity over business just doesn't ring true. Fact check...How many dollars do all the free cuddle sessions you give away equal? I'm the kind of individual that cares about others well-being whether it's in a momentary exchange, a long exchange, a financial exchange or otherwise. If you're a caring person, you're a caring person. I'm a skilled caregiver also. Should I give away my services to the elderly for free instead of $16 an hour to show I truly care? No, but a couple of paid cuddle sessions a month sure does bridge the gap when it's time to pay the gas bill. 🥶 That's just me.

@Auroradream that's cool. Whatever you believe works for you, beloved.

@CharlieBear I learned something new today (seriously). So, if I'm understanding this correctly, the only difference between me (a male enthusiast who cannot charge a fee) and a male pro is that the male pro pays a monthly fee to (1) charge or not charge at his discretion, (2) get access to pro forums that I don't see, and (3) gets a proverbial "gold star" associated with his moniker.

    Did I get that right?

  • edited December 2024

Don't forget the kudos for being a male pro due to it being implied that you are somehow a better safer bet, and the fact that some pros will wave a fee for other pros

Although I know there are rules that pros have when it comes to not charging and hoops they have to go through to ensure they aren't paused or banned for giving the perception of trying to circumvent booking online etc. I would assume the same applies to all genders, not sure the OP has thought that through though...

  • [Deleted User]jimmylee (deleted user)

@pmvines that's where the "gold star" comes in.

I truly learned some things today. I'm not a male pro, nor am I seeking to become one, so I was unaware of some of the caveats that come with signing on the dotted line.

  • @pmvines a better safer bet is not something I ever associated with a male who has the Pro status. It's often a sign of ignorance to how the site works or a thinly veiled attempt to get free cuddles. But not the OP, he's got all the answers, vast amounts of experience, and pure intentions

  • @jimmylee
The only difference is that the pro is paying $20 a month and probably not getting any more cuddles, which is the unfortunate reality for male pros. I don’t know about the gold star, that may just be for anyone that has passed a certain threshold in karma.

  • Being a pro certainly does not make you any safer, though, and anyone claiming that is probably not being truthful. I would not trust high karma alone.

  • [Deleted User]jimmylee (deleted user)

@CharlieBear thank you for taking the time to respond. You basically affirmed my thoughts - that the fee (and a couple other privileges?) are the only difference. I shouldn't have used the term "gold star" (that's why I said "proverbial"). I forgot this site uses an actual star system for those who have posted positive karma. My bad!

  • I don’t know of any other privileges. I do know the ones that use being a pro to try to get free cuddles out of other pros get reported and sometimes banned for it 😅

  • OP's post is giving me the ick. Normally I pass by posts that give me the ick but this one ... 😬

    I agree with you @Auroradream

  • edited December 2024

    Hey @CharlieBear

A newcomer to this site might not appreciate the wisdom of @Auroradream ’s comment, above.

And I have concerns that loopholes within the karma and compensation system might make it possible for a person like the OP (but with fewer scruples) to appear more reputable to the newbies.

Let’s say I go pro to appear legit.
That costs me $20 per month.
But say, now instead of booking my pros, who charge $100 an hour, I tell them to book the cuddles with me.

I still pay for the cuddles, but Cuddle Comfort is out its commission, and we pocket the difference. I could even look for pros who offer virtual cuddles on the cheaper end of the spectrum.

And when we leave each other karma, it might seem to the world like I’m rolling in repeat business from professional women cuddlers. (What co-conspirator wouldn’t rate me 5 stars?) So long as I’m careful not to totally blow the curve, I’d look golden. Right?

Tell me Cuddle Comfort has some sort of safety net to keep this from happening!

    🙈🙉🙊

  • I’m still curious, is OP initiating contact with women or any potential clients? Am I misunderstanding what he wrote?
I thought that was against TOS.
I feel that a lot of these posts that are started by Pros are partly advertising. I know there’s a lot of competition for clients, seeing so many threads started by Pros, many just want the exposure and profile clicks. Some others might have something valuable to contribute also.
I didn’t see so much of this in the past.

  • @CaramelNotes i can see what you're saying, I've been skeptical about some of the comments as well. But i do try to give benefit of the doubt because my suspicions are circumstantial. But my bs meter been off lately so what do i know.

  • [Deleted User]jimmylee (deleted user)

@CharlieBear my mistake. I thought pros, both male and female, have access to a "pros only" forum. I must have heard incorrectly.

  • @jimmylee
    You didn't . They do.

  • edited December 2024

    @MonkeyNeedsAHug
If it is the male pro making free bookings with female pros, those bookings will be scrutinized and warnings/bans will be issued when that type of fee-avoiding arrangements are discovered.
