And yeah I am not sure if OP is using the pro status to try to get free cuddles from pros, so let's not immediately assume that is the case.
@MonkeyNeedsAHug Male pros will have a mixture of Karma from clients (hopefully) and as a client themselves since they most likely were an enthusiast/client before becoming a pro. In general, I would assume if the karma is from a pro, the male pro was most likely the client.
@CharlieBear
Can you check that? It looks like if one pro books multiple sessions with another, that both of their karmas are marked as if they are “repeat clients”.
I’m sure you can see how that would be misleading. (It’s one thing for a pro to say nice things about me as a client. But if someone read that karma as if the pro were paying me, instead.)
@CharlieBear it's ironic (?) that you mention a "mixture" of karma because said karma is pretty homogeneous. Seems to come from a fairly specific (i.e. younger) clientele. I know, there's no rules against that. Perhaps that's common among orosy.
Imagine being a pro and having all of your business come from other pros?
You’d be broke as a joke.
There’s no need to tell us you aren’t emphasizing profits here. We can do the math.
So, why the pro status, /Sir?
@CharlieBear Is a male pro allowed to reach out first to others to solicit clients? Thanks, just was curious.
This thread giving the lie to the saying “There’s no such thing as bad publicity”.
@ReltvlyCanshes I am a big believer of People over Profits. I believe that in mostly all things. I also understand that this is labor. Some people choose to give it away and some choose to be compensated.
It feels like the OP, a "Pro", is kinda shaming the model of being paid to be a pro, all while being a pro, but doing this pseudo shaming under the guise of being a "nice guy."
@CaramelNotes hmmmm🤔 that just really made a lot of sense to me 👍
@CaramelNotes yeah it's not sincere at all. I'm not clear on the thought process but it's not being beneficial to pros or non-pros, just seems to be more of a braggart position.
@g_w_t_w No they are supposed to follow the same rules and no cold calling
@CharlieBear but as a pro, op is allowed to reach out/cold calling to other pros, correct? Pros reach out to other pros for advice and support. Karma on OP's page is from pros and not so much a mix of clients/enthusiasts. It sounds like op has figured out a way to circumvent the system of compensating CC for a monthly fee of $20
I'm 99.9 percent certain that the karma is from before he decided to become a pro and hired pros to cuddle. Hence having so much karma all from pros. Nothing wrong with that and not saying there is, just that's what would make most sense.
Thanks @pmvines
Rubber Ducky.
And OP.... if you want to set your own rate just use edit profile. It's not stuck at the site's chosen price, but rather easy to change. Do you need step by step instructions? I'm sure you don't want to mislead your clients into thinking you charge $100/hr.
All of his karma came from new pros….coincidence?
OP knows damn well what he is doing.
@SweetCamiXO That was exactly my conclusion about OP from the beginning. Seemed off about all these sessions and karma. I felt like he was using this post to advertise and possibly is cold-calling. A lot of these comments are clarifying. People will always find a way to get around the rules they don’t like. But if I’m wrong about my impressions, I’m sorry. I guess choose your words carefully if you want to be taken seriously here.
I do not pay to cuddle. There is no reason why I would want to or should be a pro.🤣 I have had offers from others that are pros contact me to pay to cuddle or have a virtual cuddle session which I don’t see how one gets any satisfaction out of that, but that’s me. I feel the ones that I have cuddled with whether it be from this site or I met them some other way we always had a closer connection that made cuddling so much more enjoyable. Can I have that with a pro? Maybe, doubtful but I like to have a more personal connection than a business transaction.
Although I do disagree w ops stance on pro cuddling, I think we should leave this investigation of the app’s motivations to the moderators, rather then publicly dissecting their intentions w littke information to move on.
Yes, I offer free cuddle sessions once in a while or on a sliding scale. I have discounts for people who use social services, veterans, and seniors. In the end I still have rent to pay on my office and my ongoing support and training as pro plus insurance, taxes, laundry, everything else that owning a business entails.
Most interesting thing about OP, which I noticed before this post, is that most if not all of his Karma is from other pros. My first thought was that he is Pro as a way of facilitating free cuddles from other pros with the guise of getting and giving free karma. I think I believe that even more now after this post. Of course, just my opinion and observation.
@JackNJ I you are being solicited for cuddles by Pros who you have never viewed their profile first then please report. It’s not allowed and seems pretty desperate to me.
@g_w_t_w I understand how the rule applies if you've never had any contact with a pro before, but what if ...
You checked their profile but nothing more. Is that considered making first contact with the pro?
What if they just say "hi " . That's not soliciting for cuddles, is it?
Personally, I don't mind if a pro reaches out to me (initiates), which some have, but I get the reason for the rule.
It’s a site rule that a person has to initiate contact by visiting a Pros profile first. After that, the pro can in turn, message the person who viewed them. It’s called no soliciting. I didn’t make it up. It’s common courtesy to not bother someone asking for business because many people don’t want to pay. Of course you personally may enjoy a pro cold-calling you but it’s not ok here. Often, new pros here who are not getting booked and feel desperate will start contacting random profiles trying to get booked.
@g_w_t_w I wasn't doubting that the rule exists or saying that you were making it up. I was simply asking for clarification. I wasn't sure if merely looking at a pro's profile without any comment was considered the "initial contact" point. Also, I didn't say that I "enjoyed" the cold-calling, only that it didn't bother me (there is a difference). It appears I hit a nerve, for which I am truly sorry. I'm not a pro and have never really looked closely at the rules of engagement for those who are. Thank you for the clarification.
lol you didn’t hit a nerve, no worries! I’m more trying to clarify for the Pros here who don’t understand the rule. And there have been many enthusiasts who’ve said in the past that they’re shy and don’t mind a pro initiating but I believe it’s still a rule. I used to be a pro here and never felt the need to solicit. Yes I hope I understand what you mean correctly. Could just be an issue of semantics. If you view a Pro’s profile, that’s considered initiating contact. After you do that, the Pro can legitimately contact you and ask if you’re interested in booking a session. I’m sure others here can explain it more correctly. And don’t worry, I know you well enough that I don’t think you’re intending a back-handed insult. 🤗😊
@g_w_t_w Thank you for taking the time. I'm guessing the first "g" in your profile name stands for "gracious." 😁
lol well it’s actually Gone Because I have been in so many ways. I thought we had talked about that. I’ll have to go back to read our messages. I’m noticing more memory issues lately and that’s scary. Espresso each morning is helping!
