You may not know this but ....

When you book a pro, you're making a meaningful impact. Thanks to the opportunities this site has provided, I’ve been able to transform my life by leaving a loveless relationship, rediscovering my independence, and pursuing my dreams. I’m proud to share that I graduated this past Sunday, an accomplishment that felt out of reach not long ago. Your support helps people like me create new beginnings and work toward brighter futures. Thank you for being part of that journey.

  • Congratulations! That's awesome :)

  • 🥳🥳🥳🥳

    Congrats on graduating! 👏

  • This makes my heart smile so BIGLY @Estevez
    Go you!! ♥️ congrats!🎉
I have to second this. I was knocked down yet again by a very toxic workplace (despite anti discrimination laws and the EEOC, bullying, discrimination, harassment, and retaliation in the workplace is pervasive) I almost gave up and went to live in my SUV. Because of this site, and the amazing people I’ve met (pros, mods, and enthusiasts/clients) I’ve been able to pursue my passion of helping people and keep a roof over mine and my special needs dogs’ heads. It truly has been transformative. Thank y’all for being a part of this journey! Thank you @Estevez for calling this out and being here 🫶

  • That's so wonderful @Estevez!! Congrats on all your life improvements/transformations and pursuing your dreams!!
Thank you for sharing your joy with us and bringing awareness to the life-changing transformations that this site offers.
It has been so helpful to me and has allowed me to continue to do my work of growing community through sharing plants and teaching others how to grow, harvest and cook their own food, whether they have access to a plot of land or not. I'm so grateful to everyone who has been supportive on this journey!

  • @Estevez That’s so awesome! I’d love to hear more stories like this! I’m curious—what did you graduate in? 🍾✨

  • @Estevez
So great to read a positive post, from someone who took steps to improve their life and leave a bad situation. I admire your determination and happy that you’ve found positive experiences here! 🤗🤗🤗

The motivation to become a professional cuddler rarely if ever comes from a happy, complete, successful life. It comes from adversity, or rather it is often part of the recovery from or journey out of adversity.

There are many professionals who have completed that process and are indeed now living a happy, complete and successful life which includes being a professional cuddler. But that was not the case at the start of their careers.

Off the top of my head I can't think of a professional cuddler I've known who doesn't fit this model at least to some extent. So I concur with the OP's statement: when you hire a professional, you are doing good in the world. (Assuming you are a respectiful client, obviously.)

  • Congtats! 🥳

  • @CuddleDuncan
In all due respect, your description is about as far from what motivated me as possible. Each person comes to the site for their own reasons. I don’t think we can generalize like that.
I had just retired. I was happy. healthy and independent with a pretty full life. I’m a mom and grandmother and used to doing a lot of nurturing. Basically a pleaser and used to helping people.
I needed a flexible type of work and income and wanted to help others. I wasn’t sad or needy and honestly wasn’t feeling the need to be cuddled myself.
I signed up strictly to be a caregiver at the age of 72. No intention of doing it for free. I needed to spend my time earning $$ doing something I enjoyed.
I wasn’t looking for a mutual cuddle buddy. I came specifically to help others. I also am a freelance illustrator which is also a very fulfilling career.
I believe there may be some cases of people coming to this site because they’re sad needy desperately unhappy.
I hope they find comfort here. But I came here to work and provide.

  • @g_w_t_w well there we are, now I do know somebody who doesn't meet that model! Thank you.

@CuddleDuncan that is such a wholesome response 🥹

Congrats to OP!! 🥳 I am right there with ya! Just recently left a toxic relationship! ❤️

  • No problem, we all know I’ve come straight from another planet to arrive at CC.
I pretty much never fit the typical model of people here. But that’s why I enjoy the forum so much, to learn about how others think.
Ive learned quite a lot from you @CuddleDuncan specifically and I appreciate you!

  • I really appreciate it y'all!

    @Erin_Elle_ it's in Social Work

  • Love hearing uplifting stories!

  • @g.w.t.w. Good for you

@Estevez well done, congratulations! Good for you

  • I needed to read this today. @Estevez @Ariananotgrande thanks for the uplifting positivity! All of you who have commented here…I love the idea of the flow of the universe and the putting good things out and receiving them in turn. I came to this community after negative experiences in public education caused me to leave teaching and my kids grew up and left home…I had all this teacher mom energy and now have a place to channel it and yes paying bills is nice too. Thanks again for sharing!

  • Pros and enthusiasts here have had the same impact on me. It’s changed my life for the better.

  • @Estevez Congratulations!! 🎊 👏 💐 🥳 So proud of you AND happy for you! And I cannot tell you how much this encouraged me... the 3 things you stated: "Leaving a loveless relationship, rediscovering my independence, and pursuing my dreams" are exactly what I am hoping to achieve! I keep going back and forth between keeping this up or not. I'm still pretty new and don't know what I'm doing and it can be scary... but it also has been very rewarding. Fortunately so far the awesome people out there have made it worth weeding through the umm...awesomeness-challenged ones (sorry, trying to think of the nicest way to word it...) Thank you so much for sharing your story and triumph with us all 💝
