This is a very interesting topic for discussion here! From my experience, obviously this is only my own, so I can't speak for the masses . Every . Single . Time. that I have received a "booking" without any introduction, it has been from people who don't have sincere intentions. After messaging them I either discovered that they were looking for "other things" weird fetishes etc or by the time I tried to message them , they had already been banned. Just my two cents. 😅🤷
I do agree that most ppl that send a booking without any introductions or connection made, end up being unsavoury ppl that treat us as if they’re ordering pizza, but I’d like to point out the message button. For pros, it says “message to book” so it gives the impression that nobody can talk to us unless they book.
😂😂😂😂
@Sheena123
For pros, it says “message to book”
It's actually worse than that. It says "Request to Book" which doesn't even imply you should send a message.
@Achterbahn oh that’s right. See? There’s no indication of creating any type of connection. I don’t like that. I know some pros prefer the “straight to booking” method but I need a bit of a connection first. I need some back and forth to get the vibe that you see me as a person, that we both understand respect and safety and of course to make sure we’re on the right page. But when new ppl join the site and see a “request to book” instead of the traditional message button, it just feels cold and it probably pushes a lot of people to go straight to ordering us….
@Sheena123 100% agree with you. My decisions about who to contact and who to ultimately cuddle with are based mostly on the vibe/connection I feel with them, so I've never proposed a booking without some conversation first. I know that there are pros out there that prefer as little communication as possible and to have you immediately propose a time, but that's OK, I don't think they would be a match for me anyway.
@Sheena123 - PERFECTLY said, and I really hope Cuddle Comfort changes what clients see when they message us Pros. They should have to exchange at least one message first before requesting just like us.
@Haaaveyoumetsam - We're finally coming up on the last episode. 😝 Very soon!
@PixiePassions I think first message that's forced by the site would probably hide the fact that someone's a cold booker and hide that from their personality a little more not that I think cold booking is horrible. I just think that you might personally want to know if that's what someone prefers. The way things are might be helping you differentiate personalities, but that's just a thought. You might probably be right in that instigating a first message that isn't just a booking might help people humanize the experience a little more.
The "Request to Book" button really does throw the wrong vibe, I feel like. I feel like it would be better served in the messages page; at least for me, it would be clearer to me where that button is taking me.
Yes I think that request to book button should be the #1 top priority for the platform to fix fo sho! It really should read MESSAGE CUDDLER (and then the sender can also see the booking option).
@PixiePassions Adding to your point, poor socio / communication skills here are definitely a 2 way street.
As far as your intro message to a pro: First of all actually read their profile and then demonstrate that you did in your introduction. (This really should go without saying). But if I’m reaching out to a pro here’s a typical message I would send:
Hi, my name is Marc and I just came across your profile and wanted to introduce myself.
First off, I’m also a huge (Game of Thrones) fan too! I wish that show could have gone on forever (sort of like a good cuddle).
I wanted to tell you that your profile really resonated with me because _________ …….. or I love your backstory on how you got into cuddling…. or I love your philosophy on cuddling…… or wow you’ve got such great karmas or whatever. Pick something honest that piqued your interest in her, and then express it. But don’t just say “hey I like oxygen, golden retrievers and food too, let’s cuddle”.
I’d like to invite you to check out my profile and karmas and if you think we might be a good fit, please let me know.
Marc ——
AND HERE’S WHERE THE 2 WAY STREET COMES IN:
And then after all that it really bugs me when I get back a Hi, how are you? Or worse, a hi how have you been? (That one particularly annoys me because you don’t say that to someone you don’t know).
Now, in the defense of the pro, I understand that many of them get inundated with time wasting wanker messages and they may not have all day long to read my (admittedly long) profile or karmas, I get that, but many times they won’t even show up as having even looked.
And even if they don’t read my profile, how about a quick but decent volley like “thanks for that nice introduction. I appreciate you recognizing those things about me…. Or whatever. But a hi how are you is just as much of a turn off to me as a sincere potential client as the OP’s original point. Both can be true.
Closing point: our ultimate reason for being here is in person connectivity, that’s something we can all agree on, so let’s all remember to invest a little quality skin in the game, make a gesture, make an effort. That’s all I’m saying…
@stormydaycuddle - That's a really good point!
