What time and location will the meet and greet be ?
I know many people will be semi-local to the area. For me it will be my first time visiting Galveston, TX. For anyone planning on extending their trip and looking for things to do, here is a starting list (locals, by all means, if there is some must-see not mentioned, please let us know!). The list is AI generated, but aligns pretty good with most of the youtube videos I've been watching:
Moody GardensFeaturing three pyramid-shaped attractions, including a rainforest and an aquarium, it's a must-see.
Galveston Island Historic Pleasure Pier: An amusement park with rides, games, and food, all over the water.
1892 Bishop's Palace: A stunning Victorian-era mansion that's open for tours.
Galveston - Port Bolivar Ferry: A free ferry ride that offers great views of the harbor and a chance to see dolphins.
Ocean Star Offshore Drilling Rig & Museum: Learn about offshore drilling on this retired rig turned museum.
Galveston Railroad Museum: Home to a large collection of restored locomotives and railcars.
They have ghost tours and there's also a map of wooden sculptures in different yards that a man carved out of trees after Ike. They are pretty neat
Thanks @friendlyj311. I had seen that there are painted sea turtle sculptures throughout the city but didn't realize about the tree sculptures

Thank you @TeddyBear4u2024 that all looks amazing!π
There is also the Robert Durst villa.
Omgosh. Thank you for all the fun things to do around town!!
I know the facilitators are working diligently to get an absolute time nailed down but Iβm fairly certain they are talking about sometime in the after lunch hours.
I feel like there is so much to do that Iβm going to need at least a couple of days to get up and down the shoreline let alone see the cool stuff in the rest of the island. ποΈπ’π‘
Wow. Itβs coming up so fast!!
Attending ! Who else is going ?
