Not the same situation but I have traded pro cuddling with a male Cuddlist when I felt like I could benefit from male energy and just wanted to be the one being held. A trained and certified practitioner is a thing of value and brings and comfort and safety that other situations don't.

I’ve payed male massage therapists for their time and really enjoyed their firm touch, so I’m not opposed to paying a male pro
As an aside, the male pros on the other cuddle sites are far more successful than the male pros on CC. So I think it’s more of a Cc specific issue

Agreed. I'd like to see one of them show up in a male Pro's Karma as a "Repeat Client".
As far as needing the focus on oneself...if someone needs that, there should be zero problem asking your male cuddle friends, "Hey, I really need a cuddle focused on providing me with X, Y, Z (comfort, firm squeezes, space to cry, etc.), without me having to reciprocate as a caregiver in the same day. Is that something you would be interested in or willing to provide?"
This is what communication and enthusiastic consent (or saying "no") is all about.

Female enthusiasts are typically here to find cuddle friends, as opposed to female Pro's who are here to provide cuddles to paying clients.
As someone both both new to the site (two months) and who signed up as a pro immediately, the VAST majority of people who express interest are men simply because of the supply to demand ratio.
I think regarding the karma thing, a lot of my past clients, even those that rebook with me, haven't left karma despite gentle reminders after sessions. I'm not sure if this is common for male cuddlers but it's definitely a hurdle I wasn't expecting.
@Vespie Judging from vehement discussions on the board over the past few years, I would say if you're experiencing interest from men, it's not because of supply and demand (AKA they couldn't find a female), it's because they are either very comfortable in their masculinity and aren't afraid to cuddle every gender, or they're on the bi/gay spectrum. Most straight guys here turn red with fury at the mere suggestion that they could cuddle with another man, when they start threads about how difficult it is to connect with women, here. These reasons would also likely play into why they do not want to leave public Karma.
speaking for myself, i haven't sought out a male pro.. or a female pro. i haven't sought out pros period. I don't really have that much money to spend on that. If i had that; i'd be going to get actual therapy for my bpd and get neurological testing for an assortment of neurodivergence. Honestly, the main reason i ended up on this site was a friend who would come and cuddle with me sometimes recommended this. The few dating platforms i had myself on had my profiles set up to also just get hairbrushing and hugs. I just have attachment issues, and whether someone is paid pro or an enthusiast is likely to make little difference to my bpd. the attachment issues i struggle with would still likely irrationally take over my mind for a while. i've never paid anyone to pay attention to me. I know cuddling as a therapy isn't exactly paying for attention, but to me, it still kind of feels like that. no offence to those who can and do. i'm a big respecter of people doing what works for them. I do a lot of gaming online. For $40-60; i can buy a new mmo game. I can play for hours and weeks maybe months or years endlessly... Of course, the end of that is making bonds with people you don't meet in person. all that said, I've mentioned to lots of ppl when we talk about stuff like winning the lottery etc; if i could afford to hire someone for misc things.. i'd totally have someone on my payroll to brush my hair at least an hour everyday.
@SunsetSnuggles I wasn't implying they couldn't find a female cuddler, I was saying that: a) there are more men than women on the site so naturally even supposing equal interest from both groups there would be more men showing interest b) the demand for a male cuddler is lower among women than men, not that male cuddlers are a substitute or a secondary option than female cuddlers.

Almost never. I'm sure it does happen, but it's incredibly rare. It's more common for a female enthusiast to see a female professional cuddler. That's relatively rare too, but not once-in-a-blue-moon rare.
