Karma points

I'm new to this site. And I am evaluating potential cuddling partners and figuring out how to do this safely and comfortably for myself.
What I'm surprised by is that so many of the "karma" reviews are written by professionals.
I do not know how to interpret that if 95% of the reviews on a profile are like that.
Any thoughts?

  • There aren't as many non professional females. As there is professional females, so naturally there will be more karma from professionals than not professionals. You'll just have to use your judgment and intuition on whether a person is Worth your time or not.

Maybe you could meet in a public place or have a phone call with them to see if it will work out before you want to meet more privately.

Enthusiast men are commonly told to hire pros to get karma. Enthusiast women are notoriously hard to find and often reluctant to cuddle with someone who has no karma.

  • Karma is useful but take it with a pinch of salt.

The longer and more individual it is, the more useful: the more brief, formal and standard ones - especially from professionals - usually mean that the subject met the basic requirements of hygiene and behaviour, but convey little more than that.

  • @WriterGF I have chatted to my enthusiast cuddlers about this and the ones I have spoken to are not put off by cuddlers who have no Karma, especially ones who are new to the site but like all enthusiasts they will never cuddle without a meet or two in a pub, reastaurant or coffee shop first.

@cuddlyDavid As with most things, some care, some don't.

  • Karma is pretty much useless, especially for enthusiast women. You don't know the person who wrote it, so how can you trust them? I am to the point that I won't cuddle with a guy who has hired pros, since so many pros are sex workers. (The site owner relies on members to report each other, but pros are given a lot of leeway, since they provide the funding for the site. Even with hard proof, it's not uncommon for the pro to be virtually untouchable.)

    Mods here have admitted:
    1. Good karma is given out of fear of retaliation.
    2. Bad karma can be disputed and removed or edited by the site mods and admin.
    3. These are the reasons you will rarely see 1-4 star karma.

The best way to get to know someone is to chat extensively and meet publicly at least once before cuddling. Yellow flags don't exist, it's either green or red. Even one red flag is too much.

The site doesn't screen, vet or verify members, including pros, it's all on you. (The site doesn't have real names, addresses or phone numbers, so if something happens to you, the site, which is based in the UK, will be of no assistance to the police for info.)

Don't trust the photos here. Many are decades-old, AI or borrowed from Google or social media. Be sure to get a photo of you with him when meeting. (Waitresses and restaurant staff are very helpful and discreet.)

Always remember, people can change behind closed doors. Make sure you have a contact person to check in with and ping them with your location whenever meeting someone.

    Good luck!

    @starrynitecuds Indeed.

  • Its been a wild ride since setting up a profile.
I got flagged as a pro (I am not as I do not want a new business as my career is plenty busy).
Then a mod deleted my fully clothed headless photo for being too suggestive.
I want to convey enough information to manage expectations which is tricky while also trying to maintain some anonymity.
So, I updated my profile with more words. If anyone has feedback on how to improve it, I would appreciate it.
Just trying to find a couple mellow locals for platonic cuddles is a bit more convoluted than expected.

  • @Curvynaps Your profile looks great. Very clear and concise. I wish I were local. :)

    @Curvynaps
    Welcome to the site! 😊

Men whose Karma is entirely populated by Pro's indicates that they are consistently hiring Professional cuddlers.

This could be fine, as perhaps they simply haven't found a compatible enthusiast to form a cuddle friendship with.

It can also be a sign that there's a reason enthusiasts are not agreeing to cuddle with them...lack of social skills, entitlement, inappropriate advances, etc. It could also be a sign of an addiction to hiring Pro's (some men here have likened it to gambling). It could also be a sign of a man who is living out his internal fantasies of dating young, beautiful women, through hiring platonic cuddlers. Or it could be none of these.

Pay attention to the type of Pro's who have written the Karma...do they all look like Vegas strippers? Do they call their clients "love" and "babe"? Or are they down to earth, do their profiles talk about cuddles as therapeutic touch, does their Karma reflect an actual caring heart and genuine connection?

Karma is just one piece of the puzzle when deciding whether to meet someone or not... But you can glean a lot from the types of people that a cuddler consistently chooses to meet...and, especially, hire.

As for your other post, feel free to upload a different body shot that seems less provocative. Mine was from just prior to a wedding, and has never been an issue. I also do not show my face on my profile. 😎

  • @Curvynaps Your profile as it currently is is great. Anyone who thinks you need more or different things in your profile is probably not a good fit for you.

As for karma, most men who cuddle with women on this site who have multiple reviews are likely to have those from pros. There just aren't enough enthusiast women on the site to have half a dozen karma from non-pros. (And while I'm not averse to physical contact with men, it fulfills my touch needs about as much a virtual cuddling does -- i.e. not at all)

Using myself as an example, my general search tends to be within 20 miles of where I am, can host, and has been online in the past week or so. From that search, there are currently 3 enthusiast women and I haven't contacted any of them. One has a completely blank profile and the others are not a good match for me for various reasons. (I generally choose to contact people based on the vibe I get from their profile.) I'd say that it's common that 1-3 show up in search (usually different people, because they don't seem to stick around for long). I have reached out to a couple during my time here, and we had some good conversations (including an in-person meet-up), but it didn't end up being a good fit in the end.

I'm not opposed to meeting with enthusiast women, but usually don't reach out to them for various reasons, including:

    • They are looking for someone outside of my age range
    • Their profiles are completely, or mostly, blank
    • They seem too young for me (this isn't specifically an age thing, more of a vibe thing).
    • They are looking for more of a commitment than I can offer. (I have come across multiple profiles that while the person isn't really looking for a relationship, is clearly looking for someone that will be a large part of their life and will meet with them frequently. I have a lot of other commitments and responsibilities that prevent me from making someone that much a part of my life. I have a hard time seeing some of my friends more than once every couple months.)
    • They are clearly on a path to becoming a pro (usually based on the way they word things in their profile).

Beyond all of that, however, definitely pay attention to @SunsetSnuggles While I don't always agree with 100% of everything she posts to the forums (although I agree with her most of the time), she has a great deal of wisdom for enthusiast women.

There are some valid points being made here, but I have to echo Achterbahn that, for most guys here, pros are the only option. The main reason pros exist here is because men vastly outnumber women on this site and without pros they would be getting no cuddling at all. So if you see someone with no karma from a female enthusiast, it may simply mean cuddling with an enthusiast has not been a possibility for them.

  • @Curvynaps Trust your gut on a person. You can’t always trust karma. I’ve pm’d you. :) Best of luck!!

  • @Curvynaps welcome to the site. I took a quick Look at your profile and nothing to me seems inappropriate; on the contrary it has a genuine and down to earth vibe that sets it apart. Change it if you like but it reads well to me.

To your original question, I’m still relatively new but can’t recall seeing any enthusiast women leaving karma. That’s probably more a matter of me not looking rather than it not existing . 😀

For my own experience, I cuddle with an enthusiast and no karma is exchanged at her request. Her concern, and I’m paraphrasing, was that karma would restart the flood gates on cuddle requests. I respected that and never expect karma in return regardless. So all of mine is from pros.

So beyond the issues noted above on pros being the most realistic option, there are likely other additional reasons why some women enthusiasts choose not to exchange karma.

I’ll second other recommendations as well that karma when it exists is indicative, not conclusive. You’d be wise to look at the stickied FAQ matters for additional guidance on choosing partners.

    Good luck and happy cuddles!

  • lovingspoonful that is very clarifying!!

@Curvynaps when reading a guy's karma from a pro, click on her profile and read what and how he wrote about her. That can be very telling, also.

  • Honestly I have very little karma even though I was an enthusiast for a while before doing pro. I find that a lot of people just don't take the time to leave it. If a guy who is messaging me tell me to look at his karma to put booking a session at ease I will do so and I always read through them and factor that. But ultimately I think conversation is key to feel someone out. Cuz well I think I'm great! Lol and once again very few karma reviews 😂😂😂😂
So I don't judge based on that alone

  • @SunsetSnuggles You said "It can also be a sign that there's a reason enthusiasts are not agreeing to cuddle with them...lack of social skills, entitlement, inappropriate advances, etc. It could also be a sign of an addiction to hiring Pro's (some men here have likened it to gambling). It could also be a sign of a man who is living out his internal fantasies of dating young, beautiful women, through hiring platonic cuddlers. Or it could be none of these."

Nice that you could cast the reasons men hire female pros with all of those negative allegations, and then quickly sweep under the rug anything else, like the reason that everyone is saying here about the lack of viable female enthusiast options.

  • @btc13 Welcome to another pro bashing session! Where enthusiasts tell new enthusiasts and other newbies that pro cuddlers are mostly sex workers and men who cuddle them are sexual deviants- neither of which are to be trusted, especially the pro because they make money for the site making them "untouchable" 😆
Could one be any more judgemental or offensive?
Yet these people are on here, some every day-this site being run by greed and questionable morals...

  • @Ssbbwcuddlecake My main takeaway from this thread is that some women on CC don’t seem to have much love for pro cuddling women—and they don’t hide their barely concealed hostility very well. Whether it stems from jealousy, internalized misogyny, or something else entirely, it’s hard to say. The pearl clutching is quite amusing, that’s for sure.

  • @brownglucose
I think you’re right, I see it too.
I’ve been both, can relate and respect both ways of approaching cuddling.

@btc13, SunsetSnuggles didn't sweep other reasons under the rug, but you might have read too fast (as I did the first time). She preceded the negative reasons with the exact reason you thought she omitted - "perhaps they simply haven't found a compatible enthusiast to form a cuddle friendship with."

  • [Deleted User]donhulio (deleted user)

I dislike pro bashing (at least of pros who follow the rules) as well, and there is some of it, but Sunset Snuggles isn't bashing pros, rather pointing out the simple fact that there are two types of pros on this site. She didn't even bash the pros who deserve bashing 😅

Thanks for all the comments and feedback everyone has provided. I never looked at it from some of these perspectives and will keep it all into consideration. And even though there are a few insulting comments, everyone here is entitled to their own opinions or speculations. Although I must say not everyone falls into that category just because they are pros or hire pros. Yes, there was some bashing, but then you had some others come out and make clarifications. So I thank you all for that. I must confess that I always look to see how long someone has been on the site, as well as the Karma, to determine whether I'll agree to meet them. Now I have ran across a few that had some bad Karma, but after talking with that person, I discovered that some of those bad reviews were in fact malicious. So it's really hard to say what to believe. You just have to go with your own intuition. I can get a better sense of someone by talking to them. Now I did run across one recently that had both bad and good Karma... the funny thing was that he did just exactly what one of the bad Karmas said he did to her, so I steered away from that one. All in all, I can say I've met some really wonderful people on here, as well as made some lasting friends.

Good luck to you and happy cuddling 🤗
