I've not commented on this thread so far because I've been a bit nonplussed - this is so far removed from my life experiences that I didn't know what to think. Then this story popped up in my newsfeed today:

I think I see a bit more clearly now. Wow.
My friends and I used to go to a private club regularly where you brought your own booze and a bar tender served it to you. I am not much of a drinker so i rarely if ever brought anything. but the few times i did i got unreasonably wasted off very little. I stopped drinking there and i watched as this happened time and time again with my friends. It was definitely more than a little bit to much alcohol. I eventually noticed a link in it happen with one bar tender apposed to another and noticed it way more with my friends that were more conventionally attractive. I brought it to their attention and we quite attending these events. It's so scary to think it was the employee doing this.
@Jubal Yeah my son is friends with a lady that works with him here in Kansas City and his wife died in a car crash last year and now he is killed in a hotel room leaving a one year-old baby behind.
@Jubal @TheFunCartel It’s just devastating, so much tragedy to one family. But then I think about countless other stories like this that have happened daily to people that I never know about and it just gets me down. Life and death, it’s a constant. Sometimes I feel like it’s a miracle to make it this far. I just try to be cautious.
Yup that happened to me one time. I went to meet this guy at his work that I met off FB dating. He was actually a bartender lol. Next thing I know I'm in my car about to drive off crying and strangers telling me not to go. I remember hearing him say I didn't sign up for this as he walked off, so I didn't want to be there anymore. I called my daughter crying she asked what happened and I told her I didn't know. It was probably around 10-11pm. I started to drive where she told me she was but for some reason I had no clue where I was which made matters worse. Needless to say I was so lost and couldn't figure out where I was all I know I drove all night till I finally made it to my dad's at 5am.. I vaguely remember the night except hitting a curve at one point. I had to have had an angel watching over me that night cuz I could have killed myself, someone else, or ended up in jail. I think I only had 2 drinks as well... so I definitely think he or someone put something in my drink. Not to mention I ended up having to buy a new rim and tire the next day because I had bent my rim and my tire eventually went flat. Just glad it didn't blow out while I was in that state of mind. So scary indeed!
@SunriseSnuggles I'm glad you're ok.
Where do people get these knockout drugs? I have no clue how this is done. Yet this forum makes it seem like it’s easy to get which is stunning to me.
@SlimBrown62 Probably the same way people get ecstasy or things like that, drug dealers.
Beyond horrific period...perhaps worth going to the bar and see if they have video footage to go to the police before someone else gets hurt?
I do not consume alcohol in public, and I do not frequent spaces where humans consume alcohol in mass. Very rare to see me out in the wild like that, but if I am, I'm probably at an Open-Mic to perform poetry or at the very least enjoy other poets. [So far] nobody I know has experienced anything like this but we also operate quite similarly -- very suspecting of stranger danger at all times and not quite fond of humans in spaces where alcohol is involved.
Stay alert, stay alive....usually anyways.
edit*** Also, I appreciate your tw as these occurrences are more common than they should be unfortunately. I actually clicked on this thread because I thought you were going to detail an instance of that happening to you during an actual cuddle meet/session.
@SunriseSnuggles: Glad you are ok.
I went through something similar in 2022, though I was with friends who took care if me once they daw something was "off," so it ended well.
These days I'm very careful about what, where, and when I injest things.
I'm not surprised at all this could happen to men too. There are plenty of people in the world who want to victimize men, unfortunately.
Ummm…you shouldn’t be drinking and driving regardless. “Two drinks isn’t enough to f*** me up, maybe just make me a little tipsy”!? Umm most drunk drivers that kill people say the same thing as you (“I thought I was ok to drive”). I’m glad you weren’t injured, but I don’t feel like you’re taking other people’s lives seriously by getting behind a wheel with “only” two drinks in you (that sometimes get you tipsy).
Something happened to me once, apparently in the old country there are people that have a reputation of spiking peoples drinks to make them extremely inebriated. My sisters in laws know someone that has specifically done that to people, some of whom don't even drink alchohol at all.
Maybe like 6-7 years ago I was at a buddy of mines house for his daughters birthday. Mind you, I drink A LOT, but I hold it very well and to date I have never been as trashed as I was that day. Thinking back, the amount I drank was not excessive compared to what I usually put away, but I was basically blacked out, have loss of memory from that night. Buddy told me I was talking gibberish and needed help getting to car (someone else drove me home, that was preplanned). I knew one of my buddys cousins had a reputation of using date rape drugs to take advantage of women and to mess with dudes, these neanderthals find it funny. I am kicking myself for letting that guy pour any of my drinks and not having my guard up. I wrongly assumed that was stuff he did only when he was younger and now that he's in his late 40s he'd have outgrown that behavior.
Thinking back that's the only explanation that makes sense to me, to have such an outlier drinking experience. Don't know for sure obviously.
sorry to hear this
Omg 😱 how scary,
