Superbowl 59

Eagles or Chiefs, who do you think is going to win? Now wouldn't this be a great time to cuddle.

  • I think a good portion doesn’t like both teams. People are sick of the chiefs (and swift), but it’s hard rooting for phili. History can be made with 3 super bowls in a row, but I think ratings will be down from fatigue (saw the same matchup a couple of years ago), halftime show isn’t very appealing, and a lot of commercials have aired already. My 2 cents

Is it wrong of me to not give a shit? I do enjoy some sports but Ive never been able to really invest in it enough to have a strong opinion on who wins. More of a passive fan I suppose

  • I don’t know who is going to win.
I’m a fully invested Chiefs fan (born & raised in KC).
I do give a shit, and I’m really looking forward to the game!

  • Is it wrong of me to not give a shit?

    😁👍

    @pmvines No, it isn't wrong.
I too do not give a sh💩t, especially it comes to sports in general. Lol 😂

I mean I do appreciate a good game. And I loved playing when I was younger as I was always one of the first picked because I could plow through people and was a great tackler. I'm just not fanatic or have a favorite team

  • Chiefs…for obvious reasons.

  • To be excited about the Super Bowl, you probably have to enjoy the sport to begin with and/or be a fan of one of the teams. Plenty of haters aren’t happy that Chiefs are back again, but It’s nice to have a winning team from your hometown.
I will manage my expectations of them winning but it’ll be awesome if they do.

I’m not a big NFL football fan in general. wouldn’t typically watch any other games.
But I’m happy to be a Chiefs fan in memory of my dad. He would be so thrilled at the their success, Hope he’s watching tomorrow from above.
I don’t care one bit about the drama of certain famous people who will probably be there. lol I do prefer college sports.

  • This is a Kobayashi Maru Superbowl.

    No win scenario.

  • Is it wrong of me to not give a shit?

No it’s not but I hope this doesn’t turn a thread intended for people that do care into a thread about people who don’t. This happens far too much on these forums.

  • Truthfully I don’t care, but I am biased.

I live in Philly so of course I’ll be cheering for the Eagles. It has nothing to do with the fact I don’t have to work Monday if they win. 😅

Not a big deal to me where this thread ends up. A Clevelander my entire life, sports wagering is a major "HOBBY" of mine and I too enjoy college football more than the NFL and playoffs in both MLB & NBA along with March Madness of course. It really helps keep interest in something that really doesn't make a difference in my life lol

  • @TheFunCartel
I don't mean anything negative, just don't have a side in who wins. I may watch sometime after work tomorrow but I don't have a dog in the fight. May the best team win, won't affect my mood either way but the commercials and wings will be nice

Personally, I think the Super Bowl should be best two out of three.

  • [Deleted User]easylike (deleted user)

Hey, it took a while for them to improve the college football playoffs, maybe a "Best of 3" NFL Championship is in the future, I like it!

  • lol. Best 2 out of 3 is a terrible idea…these guys aren’t machines. It could take 3 weeks to finish. I hope this was a joke. And it should be on a Saturday… or have the following Monday be Presidents Day.. we are in an era of Common Sense

  • Yeah, the sport is too brutal to extend it another 2 or 3 weeks. Players wouldn’t go for it.

  • I’m rooting for the nachos. And 5,000 calories!

Midnight01 you are right, what was I thinking. The only way to make that happen would be to shorten the season by going back to 14 games but too much $$$ to be made and Rosejerry, KC BBQ ribs and Philly cheese steaks along with some Cajun jambalaya seems the only way to go lol

Well I bleed green! We are taking it home this year!! I see a lot of people are not into football on here. 🦅

  • [Deleted User]easylike (deleted user)

I got that feeling too, Go Eagles! I think Saquon makes the difference

  • Voting Philly because there's a small convention there this summer. Although that's not my chief reason.

  • I can say with certainty either the Eagles or Chiefs will win.

  • So it's not like the Harvard/Yale football game, where there's always a chance MIT could win.

I speak enough American to be able to talk about football, and I always appreciate athletes, but it isn’t my game.

And the inherent “isms” in that specific League, as well as the utterly horrible way they handle player safety, player healthcare, and domestic violence make it impossible for me to give them my time, attention, or dollar.

  • I’m looking forward to tomorrow’s Super Bowl!!! Don’t really have a preferred team this time, but hope the best team wins!!!

  • @SoComfyJay
I know, right!?! I noticed that a while ago.

I hope for the best, prepare for the worst.
Just want it to be an exciting & close game to the end!
Then waiting for March Madness, my favorite time of year!

  • but hope the best team wins!!!

And there is another Chiefs pick

Mahomes sounds like Kermit the frog;) no offense intended just I can't unhear it and it's cute

  • I, personally, do not understand sportsing, but what I do know is that if this really was about physical prowess they'd compete like the ancient Greeks. Not sure I'd watch it then either, but at least non-sportsing folks could be visually entertained.

  • Sports is the toy department of human life.
