I don't really care who wins I'm just excited to make all the food! This year in my house we're making garlic parm wings in the air fryer and loaded tater tots!
I don't watch enough baseball to know which one will win
🤪
Life long football fan here... I think the NFL getting into bed with gambling has tainted the game.
That being said, I want the Eagles to win. But the Chiefs will win out. Andy Reid is far and away the best coach. He has his team ready and he is much smarter than everyone else on the field. He is beyond phenomenonal.
Also, Mahomes is crazy clutch.
And I hate to say, every 4th quarter call goes the Chiefs way. A lot of people say it's crazy to think shenanigans are going on. But come on, you expect me to believe that rich and powerful men play by the rules? Since when. I know what I see. Something isn't right. Time will tell the full story.
@Midnight01 > "People are sick of the chiefs (and swift)" > What "people", exactly? Taylor has hundreds of millions of fans, minimum. Travis is pretty popular. Were "people" sick of the Patriots when they used to keep winning?
Umm, the average ticket price is down from last year. You might just want to go outside and talk to football fans…. They aren’t very excited to see this matchup again. And of course yes, people were sick of the patriots winning. Hello? Spygate, deflategate, one of their better players was arrested for murder, Brady wore a MAGA hat and silly people went insane, Putin practically stole one of the owners SB rings…Half the country loathed New England…. Do you know what you are talking about? BTW…. I liked the patriots dynasty… mainly bc of Brady and Gronk.

@Midnight01 Nothing you said shows that people were sick of the Patriots winning. Sounds more like they didn't like cheating, murder, and assholes, which is quite reasonable.
Nor do slightly cheaper tickets indicate no one wants to see the current game. It could be economic factors and fewer people can afford the tickets. Maybe the game is in a less desirable location. Maybe it's cheaper for them to put the game on there, and so the prices are slightly cheaper. Unless the stadium is noticeably partly empty, I don't think you can say there's no interest in the two teams.
Correlation is not causation.
I just watch it to see the commercials, Lolol. 🤣
It’s game day baby!!!
I'm on team don't give a 💩
I think I'm glad I'm not watching it. I've heard tell that someone is going to waste a ton of money on political ads.
This post is so negative and it’s not even about the playing teams. Eagles or Chiefs. I must of missed the option of not giving a shit. Oh or the option of not commenting.
@Hollydollhugs haha me too in the past, use to go to Super Bowl parties in the 90s and the women would hang out in the kitchen and keep the food replenished but go into the tv room for the commercials. I usually watched the game with the guys because I was bored with the gossip in the kitchen. That’s how I started getting into the game. Anyway, now you can just watch the commercials on YouTube!
@SoComfyJay That's my fault if you scroll to the top. However I did go on to clarify that I was just being sarcastic and it's more so that I just don't have an opinion about who wins and it's still fun to watch regardless. I enjoy sports just not enough to have a favorite team to identify with is all so yeah, in essence I don't give a shit who wins but I guess it did come off as being negative to the thread content.
@pmvines Part of what you say is possibly because there might not be an NFL team in your city, because that’s what often inspires the fandom. People get intensely passionate about sports, the competition, the media gets everyone riled up, marketing etc. I’m sure there’s a lot of interesting stuff to read about this psychology of sports.
@g_w_t_w Exactly . College football is the big thing here. Nick Saban is royalty lol. I went to UA and took a lot of weekend classes and I tell you trying to find parking on game day was extremely difficult
@pmvines. Your comment wasn’t really negative. A different opinion than what was asked. That’s okay. But the people who come to literally just say. I don’t give a shit. That’s the negativity we don’t need.
I'm not here to argue or convince anyone. I just want to chime in for anyone who doesn't know to have a little more of an idea of the bigger picture.
Many many many people are sick of the Chiefs Many people resent the fact that Taylor Swift's presence has become a big part of the NFL news cycle. And many many people hated the Patriots.
Like I said, not interested in arguing with anyone. Look the topics up on YouTube (not so much the Patriots becuase that's an older story) and see how many videos, likes and comments there are and see for yourself if you truly want to know if a lot of people are sick of the Chiefs. There are also a lot of people who love them. And a lot of casual watchers who don't really care either way. You can also go into any sports bar and ask people.
Aska lot of diehard football fans who they wanted to win the Super Bowl this year and a very common answer, besides their team, is anyone but the Chiefs.
And it makes sense if you're a serious fan of another team. The Chiefs keep ending everyone else's dreams of winning.
Sounds like a lot of sour 🍇 and resentment that their team didn’t make it to the Super Bowl. Here’s a 🤗 and some🍦 to make them sweeter. (I will send a 🙏🏻 that the Chiefs are horrible next year.)
The Chiefs have ruined the dreams of: Raiders, Chargers and Broncos every year Bills almost every year 49ers twice Ravens, Bengals, Texans, Dolphins, Eagles That's a lot of teams. And I'm missing some too. Plus they are just good.
And they get favorable calls. Just like the Patriots did. Like the Chicago Bulls did. It's just how it is. Football fans get passionate and competitive. A lot of it is in fun though.
NFL is lready talking about adding more games to the regular season. What's the difference between doing that and adding two more weeks to the post-season?
@billiam I’m not sure I get what you’re saying, but shouldn’t those teams just play better football and figure out how to win and make it to the championship games? I mean, isn’t it that way in any type of competition? (Of course I do get what you’re implying from an unhappy fan’s perspective).
And just to help you be in a better mood about all this, I’ll be fine if the Eagles win and to see all the happy anti-Chiefs fans have their dreams come true!
My older brother went to the Bears training camp in the 80s and sat next to Refrigerator Perry in the cafeteria and met all the guys from back then (Grandpa had connections ) I've been to Wrigley Field and even saw my grandpa throw the first pitch at a game. So I do have a love in my heart for Chicago sports. Bulls, Bears, White Sox. But I recognize it as more nostalgia and not fandom
!!!!!!!Gooooooooo Eaglessssssssssssss !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅
@pmvines I totally get that, it’s personal and nostalgic to me also, the KC connection and my dad. That’s a great story, thanks for sharing. Also I remember back when the Cowboys won a couple and after the game, the streets were full of cars, people honking their horns. I even heard a few gunshots go off. It was fun at that time. I didn’t care much about football but was so happy for all the fans. Whether it’s the Eagles or the Chiefs today, great fun for all the fans.
I played football throughout school so I love the game. I wouldn’t mind seeing the eagles win for the city of Philly. My Raiders haven’t been to the SB since 02’. Looking forward to Kendrick Lamar’s halftime show too!
I just read on Chiefs sub Reddit, someone posted that Philly wants it more. And that may be the case. I just want a close exciting game. Just for the teams to make it there is a big deal.

They have all tried, but no one can do it. The Chiefs head coach is just that much smarter than everyone (in my estimation), and their quarterback always succeeds in the critical moments. And that's why so many people are sick of the Chiefs. Because EVERYONE is trying SO HARD to beat them and for 3 years, no one can. It's very frustrating to try so hard and keep failing.
The Bucs and Bengals have both beaten them in the playoffs, but that was a few years ago.
@billiam Thanks for writing that, yes, I can imagine the frustration of the other teams. I usually root for the underdog. Of course I am cheering for the Chiefs to win, but I kind of get how the Eagles must feel after losing two years ago. I get how other teams fans are tired of one team winning all the time. But I would love to see the Chiefs break a record. Again, I’m just happy I get to watch the game because I don’t normally. Hopefully some other teams will be dominating next year also! My gut says Eagles get this one!
I'm amused by the complaints of "They suck because they're too good!"
