I cancelled last minute, now I feel terrible about it..

edited February 2025 in General

Wasn't a literal last minute cancel, I gave notice of needing to cancel the night before a morning session with a pro..

None the less, it's still a cancellation.. and I feel bad about it..

I am an introvert and question myself a ton lol With that said, I began to come up with options on how I could compensate for the inconvenience and wondered.. how many others think this way too?

The very first thing I decided and am dead set on is whenever we can re-schedule I will without a doubt give compensation for the troubles. With that decision solidified, the next process in this wonderous mind of mine was the how. My initial thought was to ask the cuddler if they'd like to meet at a public place of their convenience at the beginning of when the session was booked for so that I may compensate the pro with the hourly rate plus 25% of fee. The second option, ask the cuddler if they can come much earlier than the requested time and I would then compensate double the hour rate. The last option I decided could also work was to just ask the pro for a future date and and on that date also compensate double the hour rate.

I decided on writing to the pro letting them know how bad I feel about the cancelation and asked if they would be ok with an earlier time and mentioned I would be compensating the inconvenience. I didn't however, mention what it would be. I included the choice to try for another day. I'm awaiting a response and started thinking do many others think like this as well? Do some just say alright they are ok with the cancellation so I can keep more cash in my pockets and never write to the pro again?

I know that I myself wont be ok until I feel that I made things right!
Did I do the right thing here? Or should I let the pro know how I will be compensating them?

Anyways... felt I needed to get this off my chest!

How does everyone else feel about these types of situations? Thoughts?

I'd love to read how others perceive this issue.

  • I would not pay twice the rate for anything. If you feel bad and after discussing with the pro, it might be reasonable to pay for a last minute cancellation. But i think I've seen that at 50% but if a pro has been here she knows this happens and should be understanding. If there is anything more demanded if you I'd move in to a different cuddle. It's good to feel bad for wasting someone's time, potentially. It's good to want to make it right, but it's not ok to allow yourself to be taken advantage of because you feel bad. But your pro might be totally understanding.

  • I’ve had some cancel on me and then find a different day to book me. And when we finally have our cuddle, they will throw in a little bit ($20-$50) as an apology. And there is the site policy where if you cancel within 12 hours of the cuddle, you send the pro 50% of the cuddle as a respect because she could have turned down other sessions to accommodate you.

Whatever the reason may be for cancelling, communicating with her and making sure she knows you respect her is important.

I would Cashapp or some other means of sending $$ to her today. 50% of the fee per the site rules - if it was less than 12 hours.
Your regrets and feeling bad about it is all very nice but if the Pro had made arrangements with you in mind, her time and effort and who knows what else, the payment will mean the most. Hope you find a way.

And I say this because it happened to me many times when I was a pro and only one time did anyone compensate me and I will never forget how kind I felt that was. I never expected it. I just figured it was part of the territory to not receive any thing for the inconvenience and problem it might have caused me. But that guy was so kind to send the $.

ETA many pros on the site depend on this income. I know that I did. Of course, people depend on the income from their jobs. That’s important to understand. I had other work I could have gone to do on those days when I had a scheduled Cuddle. But because I waited for them and then after they didn’t show up, it was too late for me to do the other work - that was money I needed for rent groceries gas the bare necessities
Think of how you would feel if your boss at your job told you, oh you don’t need to come in today, last minute and you won’t be paid either.
Clients do not always look at it from that perspective, how it would feel if they didn’t get to work on the days they planned to and didn’t receive pay either.
Please don’t invalidate the work others do to pay the bills.

  • Wow I didn't know about the 50% cancelation policy. Although I don't have it happen that often, I'm usually understanding as I know things do come up. As long as you communicate beforehand and don't just cancel without saying anything I think you should be fine. The fact that you're willing to compensate for the troubles says alot about you as a person 😉 So don't stress yourself about it too much. She's probably just busy and hasn't had the chance to respond yet. Wish you the best of luck! 🤗

  • I’ve had lots of people cancel, in lots of ways, lots of time frames, lots of reasons. Just treat me like you believe that my time is as valuable as yours, that my profession is as valid as yours, and that you’d like to preserve the relationship so as to be allowed to book with me in the future. I’m also human and don’t wish to be exposed to sickness so if you’re sick that’s pretty unavoidable. Sometimes just asking…what would you need to make this right? Can give you all the answers.

  • If you cancel w short notice send a cancellation fee. ☺️ After the first time a client cancels, I require they send a deposit 💸 to book future sessions

  • It happens. Don't feel bad. Like the site says its up to you and the pro within reason to work that out.
Its not really anyone's business beside you two.

  • I think if you cancel send over some money for a meal. 25+ and a new date for a cuddle at up

I am not a Pro, but as others have mentioned, there is an official cancellation policy. Follow that.

If your cancellation fell outside of those bounds, check the Pro's profile to see if she stipulated her own cancellation policy. If not, simply ask the Pro what she would like, if anything.

I feel you're overthinking it by coming up with all these scenarios, especially when all of them involve booking with her again and waiting to compensate her until then. I imagine some Pro's would avoid scheduling a second time, especially under the auspices of an extravagant, unprompted monetary gift.

I think, besides following the site policy, a simple explanation of why you canceled and an offer to make it right per her reasonable request, is plenty sufficient.

  • Why not ask her and instead of here in the forums? Seems to me that would be the most logical thing.

By the way, I have had a pro confirm with me 1 hr prior and then cancel while I was on my way. Stuff happens.

  • Hey all, thanks for replying..

The situation is taken care of already... prior to the cancelation a valid reason was given and completely understood by the pro

I believe many of you may have misinterpreted my post as a whole..

The point of my post was to share how I felt and what my process was.. do you think I overthink much? So do I!! lol I do this with everything always, its who I am.. If when you walk out of a door you turn the knob and simply lock it behind you then imagine doing the same action all while asking yourself 100s of questions at a time.. how exactly does the inner mechanism work in sync, how did door knobs become a thing, what is the science behind the lock etc.. etc.. its just the way my brain works all the time!

Now, I was asking the community if they/you too feel regret and how they/you go about taking care of the situation.

I was posing the question more than asking for help..

I was digging for others to share your own experience with this and how it was made right by either party, wanted to read other stories out of curiosity and interest.

Being that I am a professional Photographer I first hand KNOW how a cancelation feels. I KNOW firsthand what time that is lost with no chance to fill it.. I have been in situations where I was absolutely in need of the client and have gotten canceled and desperately find a way to make a bill payment.. Point is nobody will ever know what someone has or doesn't.

  • "I am an introvert and question myself a ton lol With that said, I began to come up with options on how I could compensate for the inconvenience and wondered.. how many others think this way too?"

On the third sentence I first posed the question prior to sharing my feeling.
The word "wondered" prior to question was my curiosity. I wanted to read your stories!!

    The next question I asked..

" I'm awaiting a response and started thinking do many others think like this as well? Do some just say alright they are ok with the cancellation so I can keep more cash in my pockets and never write to the pro again?"

I was now imposing a thought provoking question so as to further dig into your person feelings of how one may feel in their own particular situation.

Lastly, I then asked how you think I went about it. This is where I believe many missed the reason behind the post.

I wanted more than a simple response, I was digging to get you to explore this more and share more...

  • Im introverted too. But only get super stuck when I smoked some premium indica.

    Lol.

To delve deeper into your questions, given your two recent posts...

You wrote: "I began to come up with options on how I could compensate for the inconvenience and wondered.. how many others think this way too?"

I believe I have only canceled cuddles due to becoming sick, and I have let my cuddle friends know days ahead of time. They were friends and not paid Professionals, so I didn't need to financially compensate them. I let them know as soon as I knew, and I respected them enough to not risk getting them sick, even if my symptoms were masked.

You wrote: "Do some just say alright they are ok with the cancellation so I can keep more cash in my pockets and never write to the pro again?"

I have only ever scheduled with one Pro, and I attended the session, so I've never been in your situation. If I were, and I canceled ahead of the policy, and the Pro didn't have a policy requiring anything further, no, I would not part with money unnecessarily. I would save it for the rescheduled session.

As for never writing the Pro again, that's a completely separate suggestion...if I canceled due to something unavoidable in my life, and not some issue with the Pro, I'd have no reason to avoid them... I'd continue my contact and reschedule with them for whatever reasons drew me to them in the first place. 😊

Hope that was more what you were seeking.

  • @SnuggleAnt I think it’s thoughtful and considerate of you to offer to compensate for a cancellation. What you want to offer is up to you and comfortable with.

I know the CC policy states to offer a certain amount depending on when you cancelled. Most cancel way before so they don’t have to pay anything and most don’t offer even if last minute. That seems to be the only time a lot of cuddlers know what the CC policy states. Lol 😆
