Friends Only and Private Photos

Just curious about these features on the site, I just have all my photos public. How is everyone using the Friends Only and Private Photos?

I just can't think of anything I would put there. For my friends on the site, I guess I would be okay with them seeing photos of my family or friends but I don't see any need to post them on here. I am planning to take some pictures of my cuddle spaces in my home, but I don't know why that would be private either. I don't think my address can be determined from a picture of my living room or bedroom. The only ones I've seen was a potential client who was (obviously) banned because he had photos in his underwear under private and was sharing them. Lol.

How do you all use these? Or are we all just ignoring that feature? Maybe someone who's been here longer than me knows the original intent behind those albums.

    I’m with you on this. It could be used for the secretive (I always wonder what are they hiding?) people who don’t show a photo. Usually married guys who don’t want anyone to know they’re here.
    Anyway I’ve reported a few photos because their main picture was questionable and a mod has messaged me saying that there were nudes and porn sometimes in the private ones.
    When I see that photos are locked, personally I don’t like secretive people so I move on.

    I keep my photos from my former reign as Mr. Universe in my private photos. Some people can’t handle the sheer number of bulging muscles in those pics.

    I host from my home so my private pics are from my interior and just some extra pictures of what I look like. Nothing crazy, but personally I don't want every random person that visits my profile to know the inside of my home. I think it just depends per person what they are comfortable sharing with everyone. But for the last few days I have been contemplating to make the pictures public as well, I don't know yet if I will though.

    I don't have a problem with people choosing not to post their face on here (looking at you @TheFunCartel ) but it seems like if you don't want that, you just wouldn't upload it at all. Hidden album or not. Then you can just send your pretty face to the individuals you wanna meet up with

    @SerenityMoments that makes sense. I haven't even posted interior photos yet so I get that.

    I tend to be pretty much an open book in most things so I don't really care. If I don't want everyone see something I just don't post it at all. 🤷‍♀️

    I can see people keeping their pics locked for friends only. For one you're able to only have people who you have vetted being able to view your pics which I understand that some people just don't want to put themselves 100 percent public for everyone and for safety and privacy choose to only have a select group be able to see them. Also, it's not just folks on this site who can see your pics. Unless you've put settings on profile to only be able to be viewed by site members, your pic along with profile very well might wind up on a Google search feed.

    With the current political climate, I don't feel safe letting just anyone see real pictures of me. They're kept friends-only so only people I trust can see them.

    I'm not sure how they're intended to be used or how most people do bit I have my "good" photos public, like the ones where I look ok, but for friends only ones are like candid photos or wide shots or just "goofier" ones I guess lol

    @AlyLauren yeah definitely if I don't want anyone to see a picture I don't post it either😊. I only use the friends only folder though not the private one. And that is so that the people that are actually interested and booked with me can get an better impression of the environment they will be in and I did that with a few thoughts in mind. 1) Some people just like to be prepared for whatever reason (sensory etc). 2) If they have booked and don't like the vibe for whatever reason they can still cancel without having to travel and put in all the effort. 3) for my virtual friends that don't live near me to still get a little piece of me (aesthetic wise) I feel like that adds to the virtual sessions that I provide.😊

    I am not sure of the difference. I post photos I'm comfortable with people seeing and photos for friends only have the same rules as the regular ones I believe... I do need to update photos cuz of hair color

    @IronLemon thank you for bringing that up! That's such a great point. I have trans and NB friends who definitely need to be more careful. Especially right now. I do have a lot of privilege as far as my appearance goes in regards to my safety.

    @lilithgrowlithe also a great point! I like the idea of using it for silly photos or photos friends would enjoy but aren't necessarily good promotion for yourself 😂

    I tend to keep my digital footprint small in general (Don't have a Facebook account, etc.), so I refrain from posting public pictures on most of the Internet.

    I have several photos in my private album here that I share with most people that I message. (Also, generally when I reach out to anyone, I share that album along with my first message to them.)

    I like to keep my digital footprint as small as possible. While I do have a profile picture on CC—since it's expected for pros but not clients—I’m intentional about what I share and where. I never post the same photos from CC on social media, and I keep any face photos on CC private-only. This way, I maintain more control over my online presence, especially with reverse image searches and facial AI tracking being more advanced than ever. The less I put out there, the less there is to be traced back to me. I’m one of the few ppl in my circle of terminally online friends who has yet to be doxed. Knock on wood.

    Well for this site, I have no need to set pics of myself to private or "friends only". 😜😁

    However, elsewhere I do have certain photos set as such for various nonplatonic reasons of my own.😜🤫😁

    Thank you all so much for your input! This has been so interesting to read.

    Everyone in my circle knows that I do cuddling, I go to public cuddle events, I have an IG for cuddling. So I wouldn't be bothered if my profile here popped up elsewhere. Even the families of the children I take care of know I'm a professional cuddler.

    I have the privilege of a professional and personal life that isn't impacted negatively by doing this. So I don't feel I need any privacy.

    One use for the private pictures setting (not even friends can see) is if you're rotating pictures through your profile and want a few visible, a few friends locked, and a few to save for later to easily put back in the rotation (private) without having to search for them on your phone again.

    Clearly non-platonic photos don't belong on the site in any of the settings.

    Friends-locked photos sometimes include things like a photo of where to park, or a marked-up map to make finding a specific apartment/studio easier.

    Moderators can see all photos regardless of privacy settings.

    Pro's are required to show their faces, but some enthusiasts don't feel comfortable sharing their photo on their profile, so having Friends Only or Private photos allows them to easily share them at will, without having to individually upload them in PM's.

    You can tell if someone has Private photos by the lock symbol on their profile picture.

    Some people use Friends Only photos to attempt to entice users to send friend requests. 🙄

    Private photos apparently allow you to pick and choose exactly which individuals you share them with.

    Personally, despite all the innocent reasons people could have for Private photos, they flip a red flag for me when it's a new user, or someone with already questionable public photos.
