Cuddling with someone with a physical disability

Hiii! 😊

You can be honest, I’m just kinda curious about people’s thoughts, opinions, experience, fears you might have, etc. Even though I’m physically disabled myself, you’re not going offend me…. And there’s so many kinds, ranges, and forms of disabilities, it’s not a fair poll question but oh well…. Haha.

As for me,. I have cerebral palsy and use a wheelchair. I’m a little spastic and I use an iPad to communicate. I don’t necessarily have to stay in the wheelchair…. Just FYI. Anyhow, I’m just curious if any of that would bother you. Mentally I’m just a regular guy. I’m a really, fun, outgoing, and sweet guy.

    Many if not most experienced professional cuddlers welcome clients with physical disabilities. There have been several professionals who themselves are wheelchair users.

    Similarly, many enthusiast cuddlers are very happy to cuddle with people with disabilities. The ethos of the cuddling world is to welcome everybody.

    You won't find it easy to find the right person to cuddle, because it turns out that this whole cuddling malarky is a little trickier than you were hoping for. And obviously for somebody with disabilities the logistics are harder. But the things you mention aren't going to prevent you from finding the cuddles you need.

    I’m sure there is a wide range of experiences, probably even wider than the different types of disabilities, and of course specific ones.

    Disability is certainly a “deal breaker” for most people, and that’s not only for cuddling but for day to day life.

    Disabled people suffer from loneliness and isolation, and the negative effects of those things, at a FAR higher rate than Proabled people. (Not a word, but it should be…)

    And it’s not some dramatic rejection thing (usually), but more that when presented with the option of engaging with a proabled person versus a disabled person most people spend time with the person who requires least effort.

    It’s not personal, it’s simply how people are wired.

    I deal with it myself.

    If using a professional works for you, that’s probably your simplest option.

    If not, patience patience patience, and get a pet if you can.

    I'm a caregiver by trade and I think sometimes differently abled people are drawn to my natural empathy. Looking back, I've had several cuddle clients with disabilities. I'm also drawn to people who realize that physical setbacks don't have to prevent you from having a life with joy.

    Cuddling is about being fully present
    I appreciate communication and appreciate knowing what people’s enjoyment while cuddling. I have cuddled with a woman partially paralyzed and another woman whose transportation to the cuddle bed was a wheelchair. It’s about chatting and enjoying another person.

    I Have Cerebral Palsy , fully functional and have enjpyed this site and cuddlimng with pros for many years since first goin=ng on CC.

    It would not bother me as long as the person is honest, open, and describes the nature of their disability and how that would affect the cuddling session. I just need to know what I am getting myself into. I make it very apparent on my profile that I do not discriminate. I just need you to have good hygiene and be a pleasant, respectful person.

    I have MS multiple sclerosis. My biggest issues are weakness, so I tend to walk very slowly, and can be off balance very easily. Severe exhaustion is another symptom that gets me. I cuddled with someone one time who in the beginning was very nervous to cuddle because she thought she would hurt me by laying against me. I may be physically in pain 24/7/365, but I find some comfort and relief when I am cuddling. So being physically disabled I have no issues if they had a disability.

    Nah, the first cuddler that I connected with here on CC is disabled and in a wheelchair. We managed to meet and cuddle about 3 times, the first time was a "mini-cuddle" that took place in his handicap equipped van. 😁🫂

    When I reached out to him to check in, he told me that he found a girlfriend so no more cuddling with him...It happens, and I am happy for him! Haven't heard from him since. Lol 😆

    I will cuddle anyone who is respectful.. disability wouldn’t discourage me at all… my dad was in a wheelchair majority of my life.

    I suffer with joint fixation in multiple areas of my upper body. One of my greatest fears is being unable to "defend" myself if ever in the "wrong" company. I once talked to a cuddler on here for 2 yrs before I met up with him (some of y'all have the patience of a saint!). We finally met up and everything went really great- I'm just EXTRA careful because I know how easily my safety could become compromised..

    Other than my own sibling, I have not cuddled a disabled person. Because I grew up with a disabled sibling in the home, I don't have any fears and my opinions would be that disabled bodies need healthy touch just the same (although I'd actually argue more) than abled bodies. I am very very keen on modifications to promote accessibility so a wheelchair wouldn't stop nothing over here. I also work with many disabled folx in my line of work as a clinical massage therapist so I am quite familiar with navigating disabled bodies. Naturally, I wouldn't mind cuddling somebody with a physical disability. Just hasn't happened yet.
