Multiple hour cuddles

Just kinda a piggy back since ADHD was brought up. I love cuddling and the hour does seem to rush by...but the very few times I've tried to do two hours or more it's a very big struggle. It just so hard for me to sit and be calm for more than an hour , does this happen to anyone else? What do you do? Take a break and stretch? Idk whatever I'm open to ideas

  • I have ADD as well and I can lay in bed all day and cuddle but I hop around, I'll watch one episode of one thing then switch to another, then check facebook, then watch youtube, lmao, some of my past girlfriends have hated it.

  • @jmdank do you do a lot or two hours cuddles? It's like I don't want to come across rude, but I have to move around a bit

Though I am new this and have had only one 1-hour cuddle session, I plan on longer sessions in the future. With the right person, I am hoping to just maybe sit at a table holding hands or next to each other on a couch while conversing eventually into a relaxing full embrace.

  • I have to take breaks or else I get restless and punchy

  • What do you take a break to do?

  • Cuz like I said I don't want to come across as rude so it feels like no matter what someone may not think I want their company or something

  • I would say just be up front about it in the beginning. Like hey, we can book for X amount of time, but at the top of every hour I need a break to move, stretch.

It also really depends on how your cuddling, make sure your limbs are still getting plenty of circulation. Arms/legs that fall asleep can be a painful experience

  • I have trouble sitting still but I can do two-hour cuddles easily. My brain is engaged talking to the person I'm cuddling with, or with caresses and feeling tense muscles and massaging them, or both. There's enough sensory input I don't have to move around much. And we do shift position from time to time.

    I have two speeds apparently.

I am either a toddler hummingbird on LSD, zooming from thing to thing for moments at a time, or I am the spirit of an ancient Buddha on Valium, able to meditate and focus on one thing for seven hours, during which I barely move except to do whatever writing, drawing, or composing this brain has hyper-fixated upon.

    It’s a lifestyle…

This is wild to me. My ADhD and anxiety are one of the reasons I cuddle and it generally takes me at least an hour just to settle down. But once that happens, a four hour cuddle can still feel too short.

  • Every cuddle and cuddler are different, what works for some doesn't work for others, for example some do not want conversation the entire time, some are there for how they like to cuddle ect

Changing cuddling positions, bathroom breaks, water breaks, snack breaks, streach breaks, watching a movie together, For longer sessions I will fall asleep or my cuddling partner will fall asleep. For overnights both parties definitely need to sleep for hours. If I wake up during an overnight I step out of the room and let my cuddle partner continue to sleep 😴. What ever the situation, cuddling is a precious time of interacting with another person.

A cuddle can be whatever you make it. It certainly doesn't need to be spooning, unmoving, for an hour straight.

Some cuddlers love doing that...some love to try a new cuddle position every few minutes.

If you prefer to swap sides or try new positions so your mind and body don't get restless, just let your clients know that you're more of an active cuddler. If anyone finds that distracting or it isn't their cup of tea, there are plenty of passive, super zen cuddlers as well.

I had a seven and a half hour cuddle where we never left the blanket, but we moved around a ton. We laid down together, we sat across from each other, we laid in each others' laps, we hid under a second blanket when it started to rain, we stood up and scooched the blanket as the sun moved around during the afternoon... It was seven+ hours of pure bliss, snuggling, talking, and not one minute or boredom or worry...

You should be able to cuddle in whatever way makes you happy and comfortable, so long as your paying clients have an idea what to expect, so everyone winds up happy and comfortable, in the end. 😊

  • I've had 3-4 hours stretches and yes, a brief intermission is a must halfway through, it's good for both parties.

  • @Janelle19

For me, most all of my cuddle friends aren't local. So when we do spend time together we are usually together for at least the entire day or several days. So we aren't cuddling the whole time we're togethe. I realize your scenario is different so not sure that helps . We just take breaks, eat, get on phone, go walk or drive somewhere or even each just go and do something else. Might have to work or run errands etc. the usual.

  • You can adjust your session time to an hour and a half so it doesn’t feel like time has rushed by but also isn’t a full straight 2hrs that feels too overwhelming for you. Luckily the site has options already listed for time lengths that include time frames within the full amount of hours or the desired amount of hours and a half.

It’s already in the panel listed with the rest of the time frames to book a session ☺️ of course stretches or a brief walk outside for fresh air and movement can help in between if the time length still bothers you.

  • Maybe I should put a tv in my room but I know I won't get any sleep at night lol

@pmvines That sounds like such a cool time. Like actual friends who are comfortable with each other. Would love to foster connections like that.

Luckily I might have one that is heading in that direction.

  • I have MS multiple sclerosis, so my body hurts, and I generally can’t lay in the same position for a long stretch of time. Any time cuddling has lasted an hour or two or more is usually because one or both of us fell asleep while cuddling in bed. If we are on the couch watching TV or something it’s a different story.

  • @Huggycatbear
Hey that's awesome! You seem like a great person to chill with im glad for you

  • I agree I have been working on being able to extend my sessions if they request more than an hour but sometimes I just take a few mins outside of fresh air after each hour. Even watching a movie or show or snacking can help if they are up for it also!

  • I find that even two- and three-hour cuddles are over before I realize it. My longest cuddle ever was a five-hour, of course with several restroom breaks, but other than that, no breaks. Even that five-hour cuddle flew by. Of course, if you're not vibing with the person you're cuddling, then it's drag. But if you're vibing, then it's always over too fast.

@pmvines Thank you, I appreciate that!

@tiffanybaby That is healthy. As a client and host I like to make sure pros still have their agency and make themselves feel at home as possible. I'd feel icky if anyone came over and felt like they were chained to the bed and/or couch. Especially for longer periods.

I like overnights because ir's great companionship. Where you can watch movies, eat food together, and just hang out. Be silly. Goofy. Explore each other's story and inner universe. Actually makes the time when you do cuddle be more connective.

  • I have ADHD, and I've had clients who wanted 2, 3, 4 hours but they weren't talkers. It was low-key torture. 🥲 I usually try to practice mindfulness and sort of meditate (to get better at being comfortable with stillness and quiet - or even learn to appreciate it and see it as a peaceful break in my chaotic life), or I try to use that time to be as productive as possible by mentally mapping out important things like schedules and business plans. My hands are always roaming, so that helps with the physical aspect of ADHD and needing to fidget.

  • @PixiePassions

I really appreciate you sharing what you go through. I appreciate this thread in general, really let's me know what pros can go through on their side of the session.

Yes, it's business when they are "on duty". But this is a strange kind of business when bodies are held so close. I'm happy being a connector who engages in a lot of convo.

At the same time, I'm learning that some of it can be quiet time and especially nice with that as well.

This is alot of conversation and honestly I can’t find the beginning but I prefer the l longer cuddle sessions. If possible, overnight is the best.

  • I feel that keeping the session gently stimulated ie head scratches, and softly touching arms helps me. I also practice intentional breathing with cuddlers, some will mirror you, others will not, but it does help with restlessness, I have ADHD :)

  • "Can we take a break for a few minutes?" is a simple and normal question from both sides.

Doesn't really have to be for a specific reason, but just like in parties and other social situations, getting a glass of water or going to the bathroom are great reasons for a short break a reasonable person will not take personally. Usually its true even if something else made you ask.

  • I need to move occasionally too. But I'm good with switching positions from Big to little spoon as frequently as anyone needs

  • I just say I'm gonna pee or fart or both and it's an automatic breakaway
