I know I rip on stoners who make that one thing their entire identity, but this cough syrup I'm swigging since having COVID has got me kinda thinking about an edible to complete my vibe. Not saying I would. But it has me thinking.
I recently got a few different types of a new (to me) brand of edible. The stress one did make me feel less stressed. The sleep one did make me feel less sleepy. And the pain one does make me feel a little less pain. It didn't occur to me to see if they have a cough variant.
So my mom takes CBD gummies , completely non psycho active for arthritis pain. She ran out and a guy at the pool gave her one of his. What he didn't tell her is that it was not only real, but strong as hell. She should have taken like a quarter and instead took the whole thing. My poor mom who has never seen a drug in her life called my brother to stay over because she thought she had been poisoned and was dying! She couldn't move , he had to take her shoes off and everything. She went to the bathroom on herself. Couldn't string a sentence together. Poor mom. 78 and high as a kite thinking she was dying

Yup! Cant help but laugh now but it was scary to her for sure. I mean it doesn't beat me waking up in New Orleans when I was 15 not knowing how I got there after blacking out from alcohol pills and heroin, or getting into my first fender bender before I was old enough to drive while driving a stolen car over state lines after night long Jack Daniels bender followed by cocaine for breakfast, but for her that was pretty trippy shit 😂

Big time stoner at the moment. Excessively so lol. Gotta dial it back but it's so relaxing. I've used my 10 emergency days at work already in 2025 😆. It's making me impulsive and starting to negatively effect things so I'll be quitting cold turkey in March.

Serious question here for you smokers - I recently spent a weekend in New Orleans. Everywhere I went I kept getting wiffs (if not clouds) of skunk. And I mean seriously it smelled like a pissed off skunk.
Some locals I met told me it was marijuana , which is apparently common in NO.
Is there really that much variability in the smell? I’ve heard of “skunkweed” and even heard people on here talking about how terrible the smell is, but I just thought it was a preference. I did not know it could actually smell like that. None of the marijuana I’ve ever been exposed to before that smelled bad at all.
My friend just came from NO and she told me everybody smokes it outdoors like nothing. It isn't legal. Just not really enforced not to. So for you to get whiffs is definitely understandable.
Different weed strains have a whole bunch of different scents. Skunky, fruity, piney, woody.. I need to take a trip there next! Lol
