Time frame

I’m honestly curious what people feel is an acceptable time frame to receive a response from a pro. It has happened more than once that someone has visited my profile, I reach out and then go about my day … make coffee, take a call, walk into an appt etc… and something like what happened today transpires…. In the 20 min I’m away from my phone, I get a couple messages from person; one showing interest in booking today, then 6 minutes later a follow up message and then somewhere in the less than 20 minutes before I happen to see the messages, they have now blocked me or deleted their profile. I’m starting to think it’s because I’m not responding in some sort of time frame they have imagined is appropriate to respond in. If I’m walking into an appt or another session. It might be hours before I glance at my phone again.

So how long do you feel is an acceptable time frame to receive a response back from a pro cuddler?

Expectations are, forgive me, very silly.

If I have some need for a response within a certain time frame it’s my responsibility to inform people of that need.

If I were a professional (which I am not and never could be in this context) I would be checking my email/messages/etc at least three times a day, and I would reflect that on my profile to attempt to reduce misunderstandings.

Which, as all professionals know, won’t work because no one reads profiles.

@sage91436 Its fairly standard for people with, shall we say less than wholesome intentions, to put pressure and demands upon the people they intend to prey upon as a way of gauging that potential victim’s ability to resist or fight back. Avoiding boundary pushers is always to your benefit.

    I usually don't expect a reply for 12-24 hours.

< 1 hour - Wow, that was fast
1 - 4 hours - Cool, they got back to me pretty quickly
4 - 12 hours - I appreciate that they got back to me in a reasonable timeframe
    12 - 24 hours - I expect to hear back soon
24+ hours - I assume they might not reply. If they do, then awesome, maybe we can work something out.

If you need a cuddle in the next five minutes, should have thought about it earlier. Pros have lives too. They don't sit and stare at the phone all day.

There’s going to be a lot of variables to consider but i believe the main one is guys will send messages to multiple pros. They already know who their main choice will be while the rest are back ups. So let’s say a backup responded before the main choice they may wait awhile for their main pick and if the main pick responds they will go with that as their first choice.

I won’t get into why people block or delete though.

  • @sage91436 The ONLY times I have ever been annoyed by what I considered an untimely response is when someone responds and says I will get back to you later today and a few days pass before they respond back. If they respond back the next day I figure they were busy and/or fell asleep so no biggie—I have experienced the same thing before. But days later after they indicated they would get back that day? Not acceptable but I do not block. I wait for them to respond so I can tell them I booked with someone else. Trust me, guys have heard the “but I had car trouble” excuse several million times as if the car and their phone are synchronized to be out of service for several days at the same time.

But the time frames you are talking about are ridiculous. Those guys are waving their red flags in your face because they want what they want now and what they want is most likely not what you want to offer. And if their intentions are appropriate, then they certainly are not respecting you for having other things going on besides cuddling. These are people you can most certainly do without.

  • People that do that have unrealistic expectations, I wouldn't even be bothered if they didn't respond at all, not responding is literally a response, I expect at least to wait 1 day for a reply from someone, people have lives lol

For some people it's never going to be a reasonable amount of time . I say don't change anything about yourself or how you conduct your day or transactions and conversation here on cc. You're not in the wrong. The person with no patience , no self awareness, and entitlement is

  • @MaverickLegend hey old friend - good to hear from you. Hope you’re doing well. Thanks for your input!

@CharlesGrove thanks for your input. I will add something to my profile about response time. And thank you for the more direct “warning” at the bottom of your comment.

@Achterbahn those sound like very reasonable expectations

    @WriterGF lol right?

@TheFunCartel I agree with you. And I’m not perfect I’m sure I have missed a reply back here and there when messages get bumped down or I’m overwhelmed. And I would expect to be blocked or a message of disapproval or disappointment. And I agree with you about the red flag. It just made me think about what do people in general expect a timeframe to be to respond.

@jmdank again I agree … I was annoyed at first but it did spark an interest in knowing what acceptable expectations should be so I thought I’d reach out to see other’s opinions.

  • For whatever the reason was these guys have blocked or deleted - I was slightly annoyed but not overly bothered.

It just made me wonder what the majority feels is a respectable turnover for replying.

I try to check several times a day and I do miss a day or two here or there. And I know there’s 2 people in my messages now that wanted to book and I said I would get back to them after my power came back on and after the fires here calmed down but I have searched through back messages and can’t seem to find them - that is my bad for it taking note of their names. And I do feel bad for not getting back to them.

I just wanted, I guess not for myself alone, but for others to see what the general consensus is for response time as well.

You have your own life to live away from your phone/device, and unless there's already some sort of formal arrangement made, you don't owe anyone anything! Their impatience says more about them than it does you. I have a few sent messages awaiting response that are days or weeks old, and I just assume they don't have the time to reply or just don't want to. And either one is all good with me.

  • This is messaging via a login platform or what ev it’s called. I may be online a few times in a day or I maybe a few days out. I do appreciate communication. Immediate should not be expected.

  • It just made me think about what do people in general expect a timeframe to be to respond.

@sage91436 There are no time frames as long as there is honest communication. I have told people I messaged that the next two days you may not hear from me because I am traveling or busy or life is happening. And i have received the same messages from potential cuddle partners. Communication trumps time frames.

I expect no response at all. Even after communication started I operate under the assumption that there will be no more replies from the other side. Even after we booked , im not expecting a session. Just letting things happen (or not) Assuming "the worst".
I also get lazy sometimes and appreciate the pros who were patient with me.

Both sides need to exercise patiance since both the pro and the client may be talking to multiple people regarding a specific time frame and can only choose one eventually.

Yes @TheFunCartel i heard every excuse : My car, my dog. My phone, my friend, my roomate, my grandma. People are people what am i gonna do. Just read and laugh. Some of the ones that were the hardest to schedule were totally worth it.

@sage91436 Yea im not exactly a prompt responder either , am I 🤣🤣🤣 . This thread reminded me of that.

When I was a pro i had an AI bot sending auto responses. Also If multiple clients were interested in meeting the same evening , I started an auction and booked with the highest bidder.

  • If someone gets zesty about me responding back, I immediately block. Respectfully, I don’t owe you my attention. I’m pretty quick about responding as it is. However, if it takes me a while, something is legit going on. And if that person is patient enough, the first sentence of my reply is usually an acknowledgement to their feelings and an apology for the delay. For those without grace, I will not ask for it—and I certainly don’t want to give my calm snuggle energy to those persons. There’s people for everyone. Those folks are not for me🙂‍↔️

  • Within 24hrs

  • Yeah like everyone here has said, if they are uppity or negative about a time frame it is a good indicator they aren't worth any of your time at all.

  • Part of the problem is it’s an ADHD world and what was I saying?

  • @sage91436 I suspect the reason is they feel rejected, talking from personal experience, I've gone through some serious depression in the past and it causes extreme loneliness, when in these depressed states anything can feel like rejection, when I was in these depressed states, many years ago if someone didn't respond back to me right away I delete them off my friends list in facebook, this was a very unhealthy thing to due, I was relying on attention from others to temporarily make myself feel better and then reacting poorly when I wasn't answered right away, which again is unrealistic but it's not unrealistic to a severely depressed person. Honestly the people that are doing this wouldn't be good cuddle clients/companions, while you would help ease their depression by offering comfort, emotionally they will most likely be unstable, because of the comfort you offer them they are also very likely to become clingy.

  • I never expect but hope depending on the situation. Sometimes if I'm the one messaging first, I'm seeing when they are usually available days in advance so I can plan accordingly, still a response within 12 - 24 hours would be nice to help me plan. There have been times where I've felt in need of a cuddle and I'm not getting a response, so I'll message others in hopes that they might have time that same day.
Now if they messaged first then I don't mind taking longer, as I may not be in the right mindset or financial situation to cuddle with them (depending on their price, minimum number of hours, location, or if it's just before my payday again) at that moment. It also depends on if they're local or not. Sometimes I reach out to ones who travel to ask if they ever come to my area. It has happened before (and the first time I remember took several months of waiting before they were in town - but well worth it), but not often.
I feel like my opportunities would be so much better if I were able to actually host without incurring the cost of a hotel. Ah someday.

  • Also, if you send multiple messages (because you can't edit and maybe forgot something ... or just wanted to add something); it is possible to miss them.

I figure pros on here have varying response times if they are going to respond and it is all good, but for me, if I am trying to hire a professional I generally wait 3 days and if I don't hear back I move on to the next pro and keep doing that until I am able to successfully make a booking.

Been mainly doing the enthusiast thing lately, but I realize that I could use a couple of hours of 90% me time, which I only feel good about when engaging a pro. I might have to do that soon. 🙂

  • I try to respond within 12 hours. Occasionally doesn't happen if something comes up but that is my goal.

Sometimes I can be online but my browser doesn't refresh to show me I have messages (which is very annoying) and sometimes even when I am IN a message I can't see a new one until I refresh. 😩

  • I think you dodged a bullet. If they are that sensitive or unreasonable, it likely wouldn't be a good match.

  • I figure that roughly 50% of pros don’t respond ever.

Any response rate is reasonable, since no one is entitled to a response. but I expect communication to be more immediate the day before and day of the cuddle session so we can communicate key details.

  • I had a provider say in her bio to message before booking so we can have a conversation and get to know each other. So I sent a long message talking about myself and why I wanted to cuddle. She took 5 days to send just a one sentence reply with a link to book asking me what days and times I was thinking of and not responding to anything I said in my message. She does not host. I can't host either and am new to this so I took 4 days to respond because I wanted to find a place first. By the time I tried to respond she had blocked me. I think it was because I had took to long to respond. But I took less time to respond to her than she took to respond to me, so I don't get it.

  • The problem is people can only read messages if they go to this website, it’s not like any other instant messaging service, so you already have a built-in delay. I have my settings set so I am supposed to get an email alert when someone messages me, but lots of times that’s delayed by many hours, not real time. So I might not even see that someone has messaged me for 8 hours or more.

In any case, I find that people vary greatly in their response times. I try to check in daily, so usually I respond in less than 24 hours. Responses to my messages are received anywhere from minutes to several days, if at all. I don’t worry about people who don’t respond, they aren’t interested.

It would be nice if this site had a more real time messaging system, but at least you can communicate!

  • [Deleted User]easylike (deleted user)

I would say within 24 hours, I mean even Pro cuddlers have a life. Also, I would be leery of somebody who blocks and deletes after only 20 minutes.

  • edited March 2025

Time frames really are relative, and courteous recovery can be made if you feel like it was discourteous.

But on the other side, you should be grateful when people get impatient, pester, nag, block or delete.

That’s you dodging a bullet. Like Neo in the Matrix - you do it so effortlessly. 😎

Says very little if anything about you, and a hell of a lot about them.

Sometimes I get a return message from someone I messaged so long ago I had forgotten about it and it's like a fun little surprise. I also certainly have no room for being upset as I at any given time can have anywhere from 5 to 20 messages that I haven't responded to or read even, as I don't like to read until I'm ready to respond and I don't like to respond unless I have time to commit to it as well as the mental energy to be mindful and thoughtful with my words. So I totally get it and I don't get upset over it.

  • If you need a cuddle in the next five minutes, should have thought about it earlier. Pros have lives too. They don't sit and stare at the phone all day.

@WriterGF Thank you, just like us Cuddle Enthusiasts have lives too. Many do seem like the "need a cuddle in 5mins" types, don't they? 😄
