It's just a way for the site to make some extra coin off of desperate men. If women were charged a monthly fee there would probably be almost no female pros or at least far fewer. Men are (generally speaking) more willing to take risks with their money and hope that it somehow pays off.

@JSP_1 - Why would there be fewer female pros if they paid a flat monthly fee instead of a percentage? That would mean they will likely get to keep more of their earnings. Men on the other hand don't get bookings so only they will be losing money.

I'm pretty sure 100 percent of the women cuddle pros would much prefer to pay 20 per month instead of 15 percent of their gross revenue. Not sure what the poor men being taken advantage of comment is about, just sounds like more underhanded pro bashing, which is so tiresome
When I was a pro I would have preferred to pay $20 a month vs. 15%.
@Mike403 for the same reason that women don't pay to cuddle men. Women don't like to pay for something they feel they could get without paying for it. A woman could easily get cuddle clients using other sources for free or nearly free (social media, dating apps, physical marketing, etc). Sure, some would pay the monthly fee but fewer would. It's also easy to forget that there are plenty of female pros that don't get many clients also and would likely relinquish their pro status if they had to pay to keep it
@JSP_1 - If they made $200 in cuddles this month, 15% of that is $30 which is more than $20. If they are just using other services to cuddle clients with no fee, why would they be here?

Also, I never once said anything about the 15% fee being removed. I was talking strictly about the monthly fee only.
@Mike403 if you look through the pages of pros in a big city you will notice that a substantial percentage of them get 1 or less clients per month. Most of those pros would not stay if they had to pay a monthly fee
@JSP_1 - Men don't pay the 15% fee if they get any sessions. So if woman were charged the monthly rate, then yes the 15% fee would be removed.

Businesses do not operate for free. People want their salary from work but balk at paying for goods and services. This site costs money. It's better to have male pros pay a flat fee since most will not make $133/mo on a consistant basis. Since I've seen female pros up to $200, 15% suffices for a revenue stream. Even the women charging the minimum will have more than 4-5 cuddles per month, more than the fee men are paying.
The fee is a floor in providing service to the pros on the site.
@JSP_1 How are men who go pro "desperate"? Desperate for cuddling or desperate for money? If it's the former, wouldn't it make more sense to offer it free? If it's the latter, every guy who asks about being a pro gets told by everyone there is no profit to be made.
Seems to me the fee situation is explained before you go pro. Anyone who doesn't like it can choose not to become a pro. I'd also point out this is not unique to CC - there are dating sites where men pay to join and women can join for free.
@WriterGF which is exactly why it makes zero sense to charge men a monthly fee. If no benefit is being delivered then why charge the fee? It costs the site absolutely nothing to stick a pro badge onto an account. The men pay for pro status hoping it will give them some kind of an edge in visibility or perception, but it won't.
@JSP_1 But if the men think they are going to get a benefit out of it, why should they get that for free? Site members disabuse them of the notion they are going to make money at this, the site has no obligation to do so. If you're trying to sell something on eBay that no one wants, eBay doesn't interrupt your listing to tell you, "Hey, this won't sell, don't bother." In addition, if you award pro status for free, then the status will be perceived as having no value to men or women.
A number of the male pros I have run across try to use their pro status to get free cuddles in trade with female pros. So it's not just about increased visibility, they're trying to get something out of it. Why shouldn't they pay for the privilege? If the crux of the argument here is that there is unfairness in charging women 15% and men a regular monthly fee, how is charging women 15% and men nothing less unfair?
@Sooson initially I was just expressing curiosity. Then you told me everyone is either male or female and I had a WTF moment. I don't care at all about the coding. It's something I wondered about how the site works when people who aren't male or female sign up.
All of our culture’s systems are built upon exclusion.
When you try to remove the exclusion the system rapidly collapses.

Hmmm… well, genders, religions, countries, music, pineapple on pizza, economic power, sexuality, Patriot fans…
For whatever reason (unchecked, misunderstood ego and ego’s fuel, fear, usually) humans can’t help but divide things into “easy” categories with no regard whatsoever as to if those divisions are true, useful, and consistent.
We have a deep history of not believing that all humans are more or less human, no matter where they were born, or to whom, or in what kind of body…
And then we build traditions, cultures, laws, and societies based on those entirely created categories and exclude any individuals that don’t fit.
I refer you to: All of human history in every known culture.
Humans are murder monkeys that became more and more deadly because of technology without that technology changing our aggressive, domineering, violent natures at all.
Again, I refer you to all of recorded human history.
I often contemplate what flame throwers say about us, but there are countless terrible weapons that we have created specifically to kill other humans in as painfully gruesome, and therefore terrifying, ways as possible.
And, without “Others”, who would we use that super cool flame thrower on?
I’m not “judging it”, any more than I would “judge” a volcano or a spider.
But I certainly act upon it, and avoid humans, volcanoes, and spiders as much as I can.
