I realize I only send one or two photos to people and I want to delete the ones I don’t use. They aren’t under photos and if I open the attachments it only gives the option to hide them. Any one know how to permanently delete those?
I don’t think you can delete pictures from messages. Maybe the mods have that capability.
You can however delete the whole conversation that contains the image. If it's worth it to you.
I think what @Warmfriend is asking is how to delete the saved photos that are available when you hit the attachment/photo option? I have often wondered if this was possible myself.
Ha !! Ok. Interesting . Im sure others would love to know.
Often wondered same. Mods, any suggestions?
If you are referring to photos that are saved in your profile, you click on your profile picture in the top right, select "Edit Profile" and then once you are there, there are multiple tabs. On mobile they seem to be called "Overview", "Photos" and "View Profile". On Desktop, they are "Edit Profile" "Edit Photos" and "View Profile.
Anyway, click on the "Edit Photos" or "Photos" tab then you can add/delete/edit any of your photos in your public, friends or private albums.
Edited to add: Looking at it further, I think you are talking about the photos that come up in "attachment" and like others I see the "Hide" option, but not delete on those.
I was wondering this as well. @Sideon ?
If you are talking about the photos that show up when uploading a photo to your message recipient, I don’t know if you can delete them. What I do is select the overflow menu on the photo (three vertical dots) and select hide (which you mentioned). That way they are at least no longer displayed in that upload view.
Us mods do not see whatever images you have in that view. We would only see images you sent to another user and only if you or that other user has an open report against them. That being said, we still need a ton of eye-bleach.
That’s hilarious @CharlieBear
