I'd like to point out that crashing normally does not happen. Finding a planet in space, chance in a thousand. And the ship would have been fine if the front hadn't fallen off. I'd like to be very clear about that.
Mr Paul, I agree they may be hundreds or thousands of years advanced over us. For us looking at the crafts and the things they can do, like the tractor beams from Star Trek’s shows. It would be like a cave man seeing 747 flying over. I hope it all comes to light in my lifetime

As @MrPaul put it, "Nothing they do defies the laws of physics." Yupp. We're still merely watching the apple fall from the tree. We've been observing the effects of gravity for a while, but only recently have we been capable of measuring gravitational waves, and it'll be some time before we can locally influence gravitational effects through forced oscillation of gravitational waves. 🤷 (We won't truly be spacefaring until we can use gravity to our benefit.)
Regarding the frequency of the 'crashes'... I have a pretty good understanding of how we, as humans, navigate in 4 dimensions (4th being time) using a combination of Inertial Navigation and external triangulation (GPS/GLONASS). We still have crashes based on navigational error (albeit rare). If they are traveling interstellar through only the 4, it's likely that they are using the radio signals from known pulsars (like lighthouses) to triangulated their position in the relative cosmos. I imagine the crashes would likely be more frequent now that we've saturated the local area with interference. (A hunch 😉)

Remember... Voyager 1 & 2 have been traveling for almost 50 years at the fastest speed of anything man-made and have barely scratched the outskirts of our solar system. For any beings to travel to earth from anywhere in the universe that advanced life could possibly exist would take many years, and that is only if they could travel close to the speed of light. And after all of that they are just going to fly around a little and leave? Not even say hi or get a slice of pizza?

To expand on my personal thoughts. Yes I believe there is most certainly some kind of life out there. Whether that be some sort of advanced reptilian being or a single cell amoeba. However I don't necessarily believe that they walk among us or have been to earth. It's a fun thing to think about, but I feel like by this point with today's technologies and interwebs that there would have been real provable evidence instead of campfire stories and rumors. Even the vast majority of things that are recorded as unidentified and otherworldly end up having an explanation. I think a lot of it is wanting to believe, so you do because it makes life more interesting.
Another point... We have people all around the globe studying the skies 24/7, 365 ¼ days per year. We are tracking the paths of over 33,000 asteroids to make predictions if any of them will approach earth in the next few hundred years. We are constantly discovering and tracking comets which are typically detected by the time they get to the inner solar system. But an alien spacecraft will roll up right into our atmosphere without anyone seeing it on the way?
