    Forum Rules & Your Moderators
Speak English: If you are going to post non-English on these forums, please also post an English Translation of your post.

    Google translate:
Si va a publicar en estos foros en un idioma que no sea el inglés, publique también una traducción al inglés de su publicación.

    (How accurate is it?)

  • I'm not sure why it matters to be honest. If it's in another language only the people that it pertains to will read it. It's not that deep.

Anyway, May, there are plenty of Spanish speakers but not a way to fully flesh things out, yet. Good luck

    Español:
No estoy seguro porque importa en realidad. Si esta en otro idioma solo la gente a quien se refiere la va leer. No es tan serio la cosa.

Pues, May, hay mucha gente de habla hispana. Solo no hay manera de comunicar efectivamente. Suerte con todo

eu acho que falo mais portuguese que espanol sinto muito

I think I speak more Portuguese than Spanish, sorry

  • @CharlieBear

These Google translations are accurate! Native speaker here

@Mayrim: tu mejor opción es escribir tu perfil en español, en mi opinión. De esa manera los que están en tu locación y hablan español te pueden encontrar. Una cosa más: hay una regla que tienes que incluir una traducción si estás escribiendo mensajes en estos foros. Puedes usar Google translate

Translation: Your best option is to write your profile in Spanish, in my opinion. That way, those in your area who speak Spanish can find you. One more thing: there's a rule that you have to include a translation if you're posting on these forums. You can use Google Translate.

  • I've actually cuddled with a gal who spoke only Spanish, I speak broken Spanish (3 years in high school). Was a fun cuddle, used Google translate which at times gave some hilarious mistranslations. (Like "I have always wanted to be a dolphin" lol

    ---++
De hecho, me acurruqué con una chica que solo hablaba español, aunque yo lo hablo mal (3 años en la preparatoria). Fue un abrazo divertido. Usé el traductor de Google, que a veces traducía cosas graciosamente mal. (Como "Siempre he querido ser un delfín", jaja)

Aye, I really don’t like this rule and think it’s gross. This is an international site, and there is something very xenophobic about prohibiting another language.

    NOMBREEEE GUEY.

Like do I need to translate slang?

  • Bienvenidos compadre 😊

  • If you want to learn the nuances of the language as you translate, use Spanishdict. For individual words, it will give you the context of a word and how the meaning changes depending on how it is used.

  • I really don’t like this rule and think it’s gross. This is an international site, and there is something very xenophobic about prohibiting another language.

Another language isn't prohibited. The site simply requires an English translation if another language is used. Everything isn't always about oppression.

  • This is an English language forum. Quoting or using other languages is a normal part of communication.

Posting in another language without giving a translation is not a heinous crime, it's just rude.

    *FLAGGED FOR WRITING EN SPANISH!??
    😬cringe!

Much love to Latin America!!!..and all the beautiful mixed cultures on the planet.
No one should be shamed for writing in their primary language.
*Big Ups to bilingual and multilingual mfkrs out there.
    Don't get offended...get educated 😉

  • @CuddleDuncan why do you think it’s rude? I grew up in a bilingual city, so even if you didn’t know Spanish - it wasn’t a slight to speak it. I think other languages are beautiful, and English kind of sucks. Maybe it’s because I grew up with a grandmother who considered all folks not speaking English to be rude, even tho when she immigrated from Poland - she lost her own language. For a cuddle site embracing people, I’d think it wouldn’t be an issue.

  • @NikkiFM it's rude because as he stated in his first sentence, this is an English language forum, not a bilingual forum. Nothing wrong with being a Spanish speaker but that's not who this site is catering to. It would be equally as rude to go on a Spanish based forum and post only in English.

  • Spanish is my love language. It comes out when I'm angry too for some reason. I guess the emotion provokes both.

El español es mi lengua materna. También me sale cuando estoy enojada por alguna razón. Supongo que la emoción provoca ambas.

@wilderdude I forget some people may not appreciate diversity as others do. I’ve never found it rude for a language to ever be spoken, at any time. Would I be upset if someone was loud and annoying? But the language in which they choose to communicate would never offend me. I think languages, and communication are beautiful.

Bienvenidos compadres! Welcome friends! Aquí entre nos habló un poco Español y es un gusto a conocer más en la comunidad!

  • @NikkiFM get off your high horse, it's not about not accepting diversity. The reasons are clearly laid out multiple times. Nobody is saying you can't post in another language, we are saying that if you do post in another language, the English translation is necessary.

@NikkiFM Rightly or wrongly, it comes down to CC having a rule about it. If you feel the rule makes no sense, you should bring it up to Mark and see if it can get changed.

    .

  • lol. "These men". Ok, no hate, nothing but love. Love people of all cultures, languages. Love learning about different ways of life.

Some people want to pretend they do, and act worldly with a sophomoric level of understanding. Same that would lecture me about not knowing enough about my culture lol.

  • “These men” lol. It’s a rule of the website you are on.

You might edit your comments but we can still see the changelog of what you posted. The site welcomes anyone from around the world and they can post in their own language, but the forum rules clearly state if you're going to post something, you either post it in English or in both their language and in English [netrunner]

  • I knew a decent amount of Spanish. I'm super rusty at this point, but would love the opportunity to have cuddles in "Spanglish" to help me practice. I used to do some work in a little shop and loved it when people who spoke Spanish would come in and we would attempt communication. I know it made them happy as well. =)

(I wish I had the skills to ACTUALLY translate that).

Sabía bastante español. Estoy un poco oxidado, pero me encantaría tener la oportunidad de abrazarme en spanglish para practicar. Trabajé en una pequeña tienda y me encantaba cuando entraba gente que hablaba español e intentábamos comunicarnos. Sé que también les hacía felices.

*I understand it's the rule, but it does feel icky to me as well, ha. I figure people who it applies to will read it, people who don't will skip it, and moderators can translate if they are concerned about it following the other rules of the site.
