Don’t try to go around site rules!!!

edited May 2024 in Pro Cuddling

👋🏼 Hi, PRO here.
Had a potential client try to send Zoom info to me before booking a session. I explained that still counts as a virtual and must be booked through the site. Cue the insta-BLOCK from client.
sighhhhhh

Submit to admins:
“User tries to use Zoom to meet up before booking and will block you if you try to explain that it is a virtual booking and to do it through the site. CC requires bookings to be made before communication is made outside of the site.”

IT IS AGAINST THE RULES not to use the chat space provided here on the site when speaking to pros.

Don’t send your number, don’t send Zoom info, don’t send anything trying to get me off the site unless you have accepted a booking from a PRO.

Rant over.

  • I’ve gotten the phone numbers and such to before bookings. They get mad when I refuse to talk off site without a booking, or payment.

Right? The phone number happens all the time, and I always give the spiel about following the sites rules for PROs, but this is the first time I’ve had a guy send full on Zoom meeting information to try to circumnavigate the rules.

I have since updated my profile to address this issue since he seems to think that “I was being unclear” like, my guy, the site has rules that you agreed to, and were supposed to read and understand

  • Pros tried to pull that stunt on me multiple times. Both sides are guilty of that.

  • Again, doesn’t make it ok. They should get banned. Most do after repeat offenses

  • I agree

  • The support of this site is a joke. Quick to ban certain people and slow to respond to actual concerns based on rule breaking

@Notacat1 I have Reported hundreds if not thousands of posts and accounts, and my experience of the site response is that it is excellent.

Speed of response appears to depend principally on how soon one of the volunteer moderators gets to the Report; and the complexity of the case. It is not possible for members to judge the complexity of the case from public information alone.

Threads like this very rarely attract a response from the site management because there is nothing useful they can say.

The Moderators' advice has always been clear: if in doubt, Report.

  • The support of this site is a joke.

I disagree. Amongst Users, while there is a lot of heartfelt disagreement, there is also a lot of genuine support.

The site, itself, is just a platform, and is not necessarily tasked with anything other than maintaining a general sense of civility and safety through the enforcement of site rules.

  • If this site were not operated with monetary transactions I would agree this site is great for support, but it's not. The owner(s?) relies on free employees to enforce the rules which is exploitative and just unkind. I don't understand why the mods volunteer their time to make some other person more money.

I agree with @TxTom I think there is support from the owner and the mods. People that are quickly banned are generally banned because they deserve to be. I always say, the mods don’t ban people, people ban themselves.

As far as rule breaking, both pros and clients break or try to break the rules all the time. This is nothing new.

There is far more attention on male clients breaking rules as opposed to female pros breaking rules and this is unfortunate. Giving out contact information benefits pros because if they book outside of the site, they don’t have to pay the sites fee. Booking offsite does not benefits male clients.

  • @CuddleDuncan I have been going about it the wrong way then. I have tried emailing their site support before, but I think a good ol report must do the trick.

  • CC added a really nice touch not too long ago that will save you a lot of this frustration from having to explain a basic concept
You can send a client our mutual agreement right there from messaging.

  • @JasonCuddles
I agree. Especially considering the stress and emotional trauma the mods deal with. It's atrocious they are not paid employees.

  • The moderators are not forced to do what we do. We have no quotas or minimum time requirements. We can take breaks or step down any time we wish.

I can't speak for other moderators, but my motivation for volunteering is because I'm grateful for a community that has made a significant positive impact on my life. I volunteer because I believe it can make a difference in the health of this community.

I had a different username when I first signed up. What it was doesn't matter, but it didn't include anything about joy. Cuddling brings me joy, and moderating brings me joy even when it's difficult. 🙂

  • Before booking someone I would prefer to have a quick video call to vibe check and go over expectations and boundaries. How do I do that if we have to book on site before exchanging info?

  • @HumerousMermaid you can make the booking, have the video chat, and cancel after if you feel the vibe is off. Easy peasy 😄

  • I have to say that in the last week I had to report two different users for asking for non platonic relations, both users were banned within hours of me reporting them. I have had nothing but great experiences from the moderators and I appreciate all their help and support.
