How has this platform affected your mental health?

I am curious to see if anyone has been affected by certain people they've met, whether they have been super respectful VS very degrading and try to overstep your boundaries.

  • This site has been enormously beneficial to my mental health.

This is not a universal experience, and I have supported a number of members whose mental health has been adversely affected by people they met through the site.

if anybody attempts to overstep your boundaries, or breaks the site's terms of service, please Report them. Our instructions from the Mods are very clear: if in doubt, Report.

I have had a mixed big. Most of my bad experiences have been at the start of professionally cuddling, when I didn't know how to say no or firmly assert the boundaries I had in my profile.

Nothing incredibly bad ever happened but there was some heavy groping and two close calls. (Saying that only so that people don't feel alone if it happened to them, and think they're the only one.)

But it really doesn't out-weigh the years of good I've gotten from the site. It's helped me be less scared of the world and other people. I've gained a lot of confidence. It's helped me learn how to say no in literally any situation; and speak my mind in any situation too.

Talking to. Connecting with. Holding people from all walks of life, has helped me to be a better person on any and every front you can imagine.

Be careful. Be open. Be yourself.

Some folks I've known here I consider besties and lifelong ride or dies. Text and talk offsite often and have connections that go far beyond anything related to being on a cuddle site. We have been to each other's homes. Met families. Done road trips and vacations and several days/weeks at a time together. And I know that regardless of life circumstances, we will always find room for each other and a way to be in each other's lives, regardless of what and how that may look like.

Some folks I have really great connections with and then they disappear or ghost. Or I think that our friendship means more to them than it actually does. Which honestly can hurt because some of these have been folks who I've been in touch with outside the site and spent time with in the real world. So when they disappear or our dynamic changes it can sting a little.

Some folks are pretty bizarre and unpredictable. They are your friend one minute and then next thing they are blocking you, or ghosting without any real precipitating event. Or just flat out end up being something that they totally didn't present as when getting to know them like Jekyll and Hyde. Which there are indeed a fair amount of people here with some pretty serious emotional instability so it tracks.

Most though are in the middle. Friendly acquaintances, fair weather friends, and surface level connections. We may cross paths but most i won't ever meet due to varying degrees of circumstances. Some may keep in touch offsite with an occasional gif or meme or hey how is it going every so often but not much beyond that. Which there is nothing at all wrong with that. Then some prefer to keep in touch onsite only, which is also totally fine. It's how majority of people interact on the interwebs. And it's often times all that I have emotional bandwidth for so I don't mind at all, keep things simple and civil and easy peasy.

Interesting. I have not met many people who were willing to just be platonic and be friends and to just cuddle. I always had to assert prior. Thankfully I met a few who actually respected that. I really want this to just be a cuddling thing without having to constantly repeat myself and for some reason there are people who think this is a place for escorts. I don't know when I'd ever find people who just want to cuddle here.

From now on I will start using the report button. I have met more people who had no respect for boundaries than those who had. It's mentally degrading.

  • @CuddleBuddyHi

That is pretty much all that I want from here. Friends first, then cuddles. Cuddling is always so much better with friends.

  • Thank you I agree.

  • @CuddleBuddyHi yes, Report Report Report. The Mods tell us, if in doubt, Report. It's the only way we can get rid of them
