I can see how true lovers of anime would prefer subtitles.
I’m very visual though and I lose something trying to read instead of seeing the screen. I’ve tried both and go back and forth.
I would have to watch it more than once to really see it all. But then again…. True anime lovers probably do anyway. 😎
Oh and I watched a few episodes of Solo - gotta confess I was expecting it to be in Korean, not Japanese. 🤷♂️ I tried the Japanese with subtitles.
I did enjoy it. I may have to go back and reread the manhwa since I only see two seasons posted.

I just finished Solo Leveling. I really liked Hells Paradise. Waiting for new Demon Slayer
I've watched a few episodes of "The Apothecary Diaries" but I haven't watched much since finishing "Solo Leveling", I'm waiting for the next season to come out. I've been occasionally rewatching episodes from "The Daily Life of the Immortal King" and "That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime".
I'll usually watch dubbed because I'm not always looking at the screen. Sometimes it's fun to watch dubbed with subtitles. You can see the liberties they took to make the sound look right.
@HumbleBaron1 ive herd good things about solo leveling. On a side note just because the origin is south korean does not mean its not an anime! I think its 100% an anime!
Big anime fan! 😄 Haven’t gotten into anything new lately. Mostly just my ongoing comfort shows like Detective Conan & Pokemon Horizons. Definitely need to “catch up”

Seeing this threat makes me happy to know there are so many more anime cuddlers here! Every anime mentioned in here I have either watched, sampled, or rewatched! Solo Leveling is definitely my new favorite overall. I am currently watching several different series from crunchyroll, Netflix, Hulu, and prime. If anyone wants a suggestion or has a recommendation, let me know!

Also @IronLemon I do the same thing watching it dubbed and comparing it to the subtitles. Certain animes (especially when dubbed in the 90s) definitely strayed far off from the original lines lol. I forget how "It's over 9000" happened when I believe it was supposed to be 8000.
