One-Time or Ongoing?

I’m realizing that I’m not interested in one-time cuddling with a variety of strangers. When I was a regular Cuddle Party attendee, one of my favorite things about it was seeing my CP friends on a monthly basis. It takes a while for me to let my guard down and I really want to build ongoing cuddle friendships. Is this against the rules? Against the spirit of CC? I don’t want sexual relationships but I do want relationships. I had two very pleasant meetings with someone local. We had both expressed interest in finding activity and travel companionship, but when I suggested that we meet up for a movie or a walk, he then ghosted me. Is wanting an ongoing connection anathema? Or do I just need to make this clear in my profile?

I am the r exact same way, and have been blessed to find several folks that I stay in touch with. While they’re far away so we don’t get to cuddle regularly, I consider them friends, and always look forward to the times I do get to see them. I’m still hoping to find that locally as well, but I generally don’t cuddle with those who are merely looking for a warm body for the night. Good luck!

  • @Amalie nothing wrong with desiring more than a one-time cuddle. Quite natural. I think most of my cuddles have been along those lines. Communication is priority #1. It's unfortunate that you were ghosted. So immature. If he had different desires and ideas, nothing wrong with that - just be an adult and be open/honest about it.

  • Exactly!

  • I definitely like the idea of having a long term cuddle partnership. I wouldn't mind doing activities outside of cuddling but my main focus would be cuddling after let's say going to dinner. Although those activities could also include cuddling, while going to the movies for example.

  • @Amalie, I prefer long-term relationships as well. I saw a particular cuddler monthly for two years till she moved away. I have had repeated sessions with others as well.

  • I am open to other cuddlers but I did have a regular cuddle partner from here and that familiarity is very nice, you have good conversation while cuddling. Sadly she deactivated her account. But I get it, there definitely is something to a repeat cuddler

  • Same, wanting an ongoing connection. Miss having my guy friends to hang out with and go places with and cuddle.

  • I’m very much interested in developing ongoing cuddle partnerships. Real connection matures with time.

That being said, I’m also interested in meeting and cuddling new people. I don’t consider a single time cuddle a failure because not every meeting is the same, and each has its own value.

Just because we may not be a good longer term fit doesn’t mean that the cuddle and conversation was not worthwhile.

  • Ongoing is pretty much my goal.
It’s not that I cuddle exclusively with one person because everyone’s schedules are different and some folks are far away.
So my goal is to have several folks I know pretty well who I can keep getting to know better and better.
    😁

  • Long term requires work and marketing. That’s why I have a punch card program. Ten punches gets you another session.

I admit it is a bit of a rinse and repeat reward but it seems to work.

At this point, I'd just like to have a regular movie buddy who'd agree to a weekly movie review night! lol

  • But if you don't connect after a first time meeting/cuddle, wouldn't you want to move on as well?

  • First, I’m so sorry to hear you were ghosted when asking about hanging out. If the cuddlee was only wanting cuddling with you, then be an adult and say so instead of dipping out. Perhaps they were worried getting together outside of a session might result in feelings developing or something. If only we could read minds.

I adore my repeat clients, as I know roughly what a session will be with them; however, this is currently my full-time job. So if I didn’t also have one-time clients, I’d be in a bit of a pickle financially. I do try to establish a connection beforehand with each client. Here’s to you being able to find someone that can become a long friendship, even if it isn’t through cuddling.

  • I have had several cuddles that have turned into long term friendships and I adore that. I love that we can check up on each other without it being weird. I love the familiarity. I find comfort in it. I enjoy being able to be there for people as well.

  • I am shy and struggle to meet ppl irl, even on here. So not interested in one off things. Takes me a while to move to meeting ppl. So ended up not meeting ppl cos everyone here seems in a rush 🤷‍♀️

  • @AmberUK Hi, how are you doing? I have never been in a rush but you stopped chatting to me. Happy to meet and take my time doing it. Hope all is well with you

@cuddlyDavid perhaps because you’re the kind of person that would call her out in an open forum? From personal experience, I would be mortified to have my private business posted publicly like that.

This post is about finding trust and comfort with someone - to find a friend, as it were. Putting someone on blast is, in my opinion, the antithesis of that.

  • As a pro, I find that long term or repeat cuddlers, just don't work. I either get "we are friends now, so I don't need to pay for sessions anymore?' or "we are friends now, so surely this doesn't need to platonic anymore, I am developing feelings for you etc" either way, I block and move on. 😌

  • @cuddlyDavid

Why would you call someone out on a public forum who hadn't even directed their post to you ?

  • I have no idea what calling someone out means. Not a term used in the UK. I was just trying to be friendly. I have apologised.

    @cuddlyDavid

Directing a post to someone by name to tell the forums how they don't talk to you anymore particularly when they didn't address you is an example of calling someone out/drawing unnecessary attention to them via a personal grievance. Considering she says she is shy I can see where it might not be a good thing to do. Hope this helps.

  • I have kinda ended up deactivating my account a few times because its become too much and I guess that can look like I am ignoring people. But it always feels like the need for cuddles is waring with the hard work and how much its draining to chat to new people. Hence the hunt for someone more perm than one offs

  • @AmberUK sorry again. I didn't mean to 'call you out' I understnd now.

  • I've already had 2 cuddle sessions with the same person this summer and I'll have a 3rd in a couple of weeks. It's quite possible that we will continue to do this every few weeks for a while. I hope long enough that my cats are no longer freaked out by their presence

@AmberUK I hear you. As an introvert, it can be very exhausting to deal with new people a lot of the time.

I'd like a few regular, long-term cuddlers... I would be willing to do light repairs to their homes, even! lol In exchange for their regularly squeezing my platonic guts out! lol

  • There’s no rule against cuddle friendships. My opinion is it’s a bonus when you can find someone who wants that too. I really like the friendship part of it, but not everyone is ready for that or even wants it, so don’t expect it.

Almost everyone has been ghosted by someone that they thought was on friendly terms. It’s unfortunate but a part of life when meeting new people you don’t really know well.

Keep your expectations low and at best you’ll find a friend and at worst you won’t be too disappointed if they disappear.
