@CuddleDuncan It was the pictures from an Icelandic photographer friend that inspired me to visit. The colors hardly seemed possible, but they are real.
Iceland has always been the place I wanted to visit the most. I have. been during Winter and I want to go other times of the year.
@JoyfulHeart wow it looks like you really got around. What was your favorite place? I went in 2022. I really want to go back. Did you get a chance to climb the volcano?
@KozyKim I didn't climb a volcano or do any real hiking, but if I ever go back, I want to hike to see the rhyolite mountains in Landmannalaugar.
Someone challenged me to write a poem about Eyjafjallajökull. The result:
A wand'ring man sat far from home On Eyjafjallajökull's dome But when it blew Away he flew To London, Paris, Prague and Rome.
