Just get a dog or a cat.
Hi! I'm sorry you have had a hard experience so far 🙌🏾
May I ask where you are trying to find cuddlers? If you are in, or are planning to travel to Scandinavia feel free to contact me and we can see if we are good cuddle matches 💚
@Evalovescuddles how wonderful that you extend a personal solution. So very touching and human.
@WriterGF Aren't pros already getting paid, credentialed or not?
@Immersedwarmth Yes, my mistake, I misread and thought it was a reference to moderators.
@Gryf If you're ever in the KC metro area, I'll try SUPER hard to make the time to meet up with you- I don't charge! It's normal for males to not get a response. I try to reply to everyone but I don't check my email frequently and I don't use apps.. Pros shouldn't be contacting you to book sessions. That's against the rules and you should report said messages to an admin when you receive them.
@Mare_Bear What "training" does it take just to hold someone??
@great_pillow08 - Cuddlist certification is a thing. Certified cuddlers are taught how to hold space for people while establishing boundaries, they accept that cuddling offers value to all people so they agree to cuddle anyone regardless of gender, disability, race, sexual orientation, etc, etc.
On this site anyone can call themselves a pro and charge whatever they want, but there are actual people who have made this their work and have put in the time effort and money to learn to do it the right way.
@1sBitten Perhaps you did not mean it this way, but your post makes it sound like only those who have gone through some kind of cuddling certification "do it the right way." While there certainly are those who have various kinds of certifications that would relate to this site, I believe your words are misleading.
First, it sounds like everyone who is certified does it "the right way." That's like saying everyone who has a teaching credential is a good teacher. As one who has been in the field his entire adult life, I can tell you that is far from the truth.
Second, it implies that those who are not certified have no idea what they are doing and are doing it the "wrong way." I primarily cuddle with enthusiasts, but I have ventured out a few times and cuddled pros. It has been my experience that there are many, enthusiasts and pros alike, who have gone through no certification and are quite qualified to cuddle others. I have never had any formal training in cuddling (though I do have training in counseling/therapy), and I believe my cuddle partners would say I am well versed in the language of cuddling. (I've had most of the pros with whom I have cuddled reach out to me to cuddle again, but on a personal level ... they did not want to cuddle me as their client - no fees - but just wanted to cuddle with me again) Yes, some pros on this site are lacking know-how (I've actually paid for sessions where I am guiding the pros from Step 1 how things should go), but that's far from saying all non-certified pros do it incorrectly.
I love the "free market" of this site. Yes, after a screening process, anyone can be a pros and charge what they want. Through their profile and initial engagement with potential clients, the client can decide if he/she wants to cuddle with that pro. Those who have been certified often put it in their profiles, as they should. Some of us simply don't need to go through a course to know how to hold space for others.
As I said at the start, perhaps I misinterpreted your words. If I did, I apologize.
You did. I myself am an enthusiast and flatter myself that I know how to cuddle and make space for people, so it makes sense that there would be many others who do also. My point was only that there is a certification and an organization that has tried to standardize and legitimize cuddling for the masses, and that people who’ve taken the time to avail themselves of those resources are perhaps a bit more informed/skilled than those who haven’t. No blanket insult or diminishing was intended.
@Gryf Hey there! As a pro and in my own personal criteria, I don't use karma as a pre-qualification to accept a snuggle session. I always read that people suggest to get karma for better chances but seems like a no win situation. Need karma to get a reply but can't get a reply to get karma lol. I am big on the approach and conversation in messages. Polite and respectful communication is what will help me decide to take a booking request or decline it.
I am not sure of you would be interested but I will be in Phoenix (Tempe area) in August for a family event. If you are still facing challenges getting replies, I'd be more than happy to set some time aside for a snuggle, as an enthusiast, not a pro. Everyone deserves to feel connection and it would be my pleasure to make sure you had a fabulous snuggle opportunity. Feel free to take a look at my profile and see if you think I'd be a fit for what you are looking for. Let me know if that interests you, no pressure :-)
