Banned? Can we find out why?

Someone I scheduled with but who canceled because he was sick, is now showing as banned. He had good karma, was respectful, and we planned to meet at a movie. Now I’m freaked out. Is there any way to find out from
admins why he was banned? I’m concerned about my judgement and whether he did anything violent or aggressive.

    Yes, you can ask any moderator and they can tell you but it might be more general than super specific.

    Depending on the circumstances, we can sometimes give a generic reason, but generally we won't give details for why someone was banned.

    @CuddleBug02u does this go the other way around too? I’ve had several conversations with pros who are showing up as banned in my inbox. Always had me wondering.

    @CuddleBug02u thank you! I’m guessing it’s probably for sending unsolicited messages because I rarely initiate conversations with Pros. Most of my messages tend to be from Pros who initiated contact with me, out of the blue. I think that goes against CC policy.

    @quincyq03 yes, Pros are not allowed to reach out unless you view their profile first, then they can. That's only allowed for enthusiasts.

    @quincyq03 @CuddleBug02u @Netrunner is a moderator. His comment is our policy. Generic reasons are given if possible. So no you can't inquire about the pro you were wondering about (I'm not talking about a specific pro.) Yes, you can inquire if you feel genuinly unsafe with a reason, however we can't give specifics.

    I'd love to see a graph with actual statistics explaining how people get banned.

    @Amalie I woudn't worry about your judgement. People put way too much on themselves when they miss something. Be as careful as you can be. Hugs.

    @quincyq03 There are a lot of reasons pros can get banned, including making bookings outside of the site.

    @Amalie There are lots of reasons for enthusiasts too. Sometimes someone is great with A, B and C and gets good karma, but misbehaves with D.

    People can get banned for posting about politics on the board too many times, for example. It's not always sexual misconduct, though it can be hard not to jump to conclusions.
