Something I think would be helpful to keep in mind in this discussion is some basics about PTSD.
Different people will react differently to the exact same incident. This is not an indicator or "strength", "resilience", or "weakness", it's simply how our brains work. So let's say person A, B, C and D are all in a car accident together, Person A may be totally fine mentally and physically, Person B may be fine mentally, but injured, Person C may be fine physically, but traumatized by the experience, And person D can be both injured and traumatized.
Trauma manifests in many ways, some more visible than others, and based on factors like social conditioning and access to things like therapy, most people with PTSD do not have access to treatment or even an official diagnosis. Common coping mechanisms traumatized people without access to proper, affordable care use is often things like alcoholism, self harm, self isolation, risky behavior.
The research on PTSD, how it works, why it happens and how to treat it is pretty fascinating, so if you're curious about it, or aren't familiar with the general concept, I highly recommend looking into it! ☺️

It’s absurd to think that everyone is supposed to give up fireworks because a small number of people are triggered by explosions. First of all the treatment for PTSD is not to avoid all triggering stimuli but rather to learn how to tolerate them again. And it would be incredibly selfish to think that normal people must change their ways due to the ailments of a few. People need to solve their own problems and not impose those on others.

@pmvines I ran into 3 guys from texas the other day. they were admiring this local guys' bmw m-series. just talking car stuff outside of walmart. they were kinda lost and we crossed each other again and they told me nice car. "nice, what is that a Honda? sport 1.5l turbo?" or 2.0 non aspirated. Just random people talking car things. So it kind of made sense that you mentioned some kind of motor event
