Unprofessional professionals

I had already had two cuddling sessions with a particular professional and both were great. So I asked for another session and she agreed so we set a date and time. A few days before the session I texted her to confirm and she said yes. On the day of the session I texted her to let her know I was coming. No response. I called her cell. No response. I emailed her CC account. Nothing. Totally ghosted.

A few days later she texted me saying that her dog had been so traumatized by all of the fireworks on the 4th of July that she had to give him medicine to calm him down and she had to sit and cuddle and comfort him and that was why she missed our session.

Hmmm. Okay, I understand the first part but not the second part. That explanation was LAME.

Now, before all the dog lovers out there get all up in arms and start writing me nasty emails and begin calling for me to be burned in effigy for being a heartless brute, please allow me to explain.

I totally believe her dog was traumatized by the fireworks. In fact I believe everything she said about that night. Why? Because I've had personal experiences with my own dogs in the past. And because I've read articles about the 4th of July and how many dogs run away to try and get away from the sound of exploding fireworks. And by the way I'm a dog lover too.

So why did I say her excuse was LAME?

Because I don't believe that her dog stole her phone and hid it from her.
I don't believe that her dog sat on it and refused to budge or be moved.
I don't believe that her dog bit her hand every time she tried to use the phone.

The fact is that this professional cuddler chose to GHOST me instead of sending me a message saying "I'm sorry but I have to cancel our session." That's all it would have taken. A little courtesy. Some common decency. A tiny bit of RESPECT. Basic communication.

That's all it would have taken and the situation would have been fine. She could have sat there on her sofa or bed and cuddled her dog and at the same time picked up the phone and sent me a message canceling our session. BUT SHE DIDN'T. SHE CHOSE TO IGNORE ME, MY MESSAGES, MY CALL, EMAIL, EVERYTHING.

And then me being the forgiving person that I am decided to give her another chance. I asked if she still wanted to cuddle and she said yes. So we rescheduled for a week later. A few days before the session I texted to confirm our session. She said she was really looking forward to it. So on the day of the session I texted her to let her know I was coming. Guess what happened. No response. I called her cell. No response. GHOSTED AGAIN.

Since when is it acceptable to treat a paying client this way? To schedule an appointment with someone and then totally ignore them. If a person wants to be a professional cuddler then they need to act like one. That starts with treating a potential client with respect and courtesy.

And yes I understand that respect goes both ways. But it has to start with the Professional Cuddler. Then if the client is rude or disrespectful then fine, the pro cuddler is entitled to stand up for themselves, or block the person or whatever they need to do.

In this case I treated the professional cuddler with nothing but respect and courtesy and she still decided to treat me this way. That is totally unprofessional. And as far as I'm concerned any professional cuddler who treats their clients like that doesn't deserve to called a professional because they're not.

  • I went to the store to get turkey. The deli worker was very rude to me. She didn't even offer me a sample when slicing. Other people got samples. I was left sampleless. Some people just don't know how to appease me. I mean I could just move on and have a normal existence because things happen. Or simply go to another grocery store. But I'm crossed and I demand satisfaction. This experience must be written and read. Please support me in my journey to healing from this.

  • @pmvines I have read your complaint. I support you as you are unable to gobble up any samples. At some point I hope you win the wish from the wish bone (and get said wish bone to try and get said wish) 😜

  • @GuyverGordon

Thank god !!! Now I can move on to more important things like long lines at the bank !

  • Dude its 2025. Everyone ghosts everyone now. Don't take it too personally. Its just a societal norm now. Probably has nothing to do with you personally. People are very distracted by countless things and easily forget to respond and then it becomes awkward to respond after a certain amount of time has passed. If you need company get a dog.

  • @WrestlingFan74 you are allowed to write a negative karma so others are aware that this might happen, that might be more informative then coming here and venting

  • No, I wasn't able to post negative karma. When I went to her profile page to do exactly that, it said that I was blocked from adding more karma.

@WrestlingFan74 I am sorry to hear your experience was so negative, you have every right to be upset and every right to vent.

We are all busy, we all have lives, and friends, and families, and jobs, and dogs, and other obligations, but when you schedule an appointment you are asking the other person to put all their obligations on hold to spend time with you. But sometimes life happens and you can't make it, but it takes less than a minute to send a text to apologize and cancel.

It is the bare minimum a person can do to show they respect the other person's time.

This person couldn't even show you the minimum level of respect, and the fact that she blocked you means she knows she did you wrong.

  • @DCuddlerKing I don't think she blocked him; I think he probably had already posted karma from a previous, positive session....and as he didn't book the new session on the site, he couldn't then leave another karma. But I do think he could edit the previous karma, with a postscript, letting others know that though he enjoyed his initial session, buyer beware of scheduling more, as the pro is completely unreliable.

  • @WrestlingFan74.....I, for one, am really glad you posted and "vented". I think this forum is the perfect place to discuss this growing concern.

There tends to be general inappropriate behavior reported regularly that fits a particular stereotype:
    1) Pros with poor communication, and ghosting clients
    2) Clients requesting more intimacy, sometimes with physical presumptiveness

We tend to hear mostly from the pros complaining about #2 most often.....after all, this is a professional forum, and it is such an unfortunately common experience.

But #1 is becoming more common too. Communication is just not considered an aspect of the professional cuddler arsenal. It isn't stressed in trainings enough, or suggested as a big part of the experience for the client. I know that my inclination to become a regular client is almost completely based upon communication. Messaging, conversation, touch....are all aspects of communication. But if a cuddler is only skilled in touch communication, but doesn't know how to contribute, respond, or hold space for verbal communication/conversation, I'm just not interested. And if they are not timely in virtual communication (calls, texts, video chats), or skilled for that matter, my interest will be limited.

    Communication is everything!

  • @pmvines you just may be my brother or twice removed cousin
