Do certain first names fascinate you?

Maybe it's me, but there are certain first names that pique my fascination for no reason whatsoever. Five came to mind immediately:

Jade - the mention of it sounds like a reaction from a touch that sends a thousand quivers.

Shannon - sounds like ocean waves moving in and out

Jill - sounds like "chill" when it's softly whispered.

Sara/Sarah - similar to Shannon

Pamela/Pam - my fascination has nothing to do with Pamela Anderson or even the PAM brand of cooking spray, but rather the name, "Pam," sounds like a heartbeat ("Pam Pam...Pam Pam...Pam Pam
...Pam Pam...Pam Pam...Pam Pam...Pam Pam....")

    Jason mamoa sounds like mimosa to me. Or samosa.

    Foreign names do, as well as Greek names, Russian names, Old English names, Medieval English names, Japanese names, Chinese names, Native American names, Native Australian names, and Native New Zealander names. Certain English names, especially rare ones, fascinate me, and any rare name or new name or mixed unique names in Utah are fascinating too!

    IDK about fascinating but I would say I find it irritating when parents try SOOOOO hard to name their kid something they think is cool, edgy and controversial solely for the street cred sake of being cool, edgy and controversial. And then the kid is stuck with a name like December, Spirit or Pinecone for the rest of their life, not to mention they’ll have to give the backstory for their entire life as well!

    Exception: I loved George Costanza’s idea to name his friends’ kid Seven. I actually think that’s a pretty name for a girl. Say it with me out loud. Seven. Has a nice, smooth glide to it…. And then you can sign your name with a dramatic “7”….

    Wanna use that as an alias, ala archer, chet manly. I'd be Mr manly. Realized being Indian it wouldnt be believable so I came up with Chetathukkar Mannly where I use chet for short lol

    My mother did that "edgy naming" crap with us, I hate it very much. And I have since decided when it came down to me being a mother to do better with naming my son. ☺️

    Lol! I think I did good🤞, I can see him at the age of 70 and older with this name. 😁

    Myself, I will be more accepting to being called Ms. Blah blah versus my first name in my very old age. 😁

    @Cuddlesofcuddle I like that name :) Though I spell it Sevyn. The current King of the main nation on the continent my players are currently exploring in my Dungeons and Dragons campaign is named Sevyn Kagen'Rothelle hahaha

    I'm fascinated by the name Ian. I find it satisfying to say and hear, and I think it's an overall stellar name

    @lovingspoonfull I always felt the same about Frank Zappa’s name choices.
    That was done a lot in the 70s.

    My parents were hippies. Bless their counter culture little beanie heads, but me and my siblings despised our given names. There are names, and then there are just idiotic choices.

    @Sideon i was very much a part of that generation and lifestyle. Free spirit etc but gave my kids normal names.

    I was a first born and I have always thought Uno would be a great name. Not one, but uno. The Spanish sounds so much cooler.

    Now the most f’d up thing I have heard for a first name was a joke I overheard in a conversation at a trade convention. I can’t repeat it here and I have never looked at the person the same ever again.
