  • @rob241 .... great idea !
Why , we can creat our own currency ! Why not?
We have bitcoin... lite coin, heck , even McDonald’s jumped on the “coin” bandwagon and came out with their “Mac-coin”
How about “Cuddle Coin?” And These can probably be traded amongst the wedsite members , of course negotiable and fluctuating in value accordingly to demand , etc

    A few thoughts:

    1) I'd like a place where I can throw my own notes, on a per-member-account basis. It would be something like, "Favorites", that I can edit as needed. I would expect that this information would NOT be shareable. I would expect that if an account went dead for whatever reason, that my notes would disappear along with the account, or that I could delete them myself. I would use this to remember things like birthdays, topics we might have shared upon meeting, favorite colors, notes on the place we cuddled. notes on how to find the place, etc.

    2) I'd like to be able to save more than 10 favorites. I have favorite people, that I know I will never meet, but that I like to chat with. I'd like to be able to flag more than 10, for whatever reason I might have to "favorite" someone.

    3) If I'm already using the site to set up cuddle meetings, it might be nice to have a small interface in that screen, which I can click, to automatically create an iCalendar file, which I can forward in an email, or to enable me to easily add the event to my calendar, without having to type it all in again.

    4) Attached is a QR-code for the site: https://www.cuddlecomfort.com/
You could upload this to your facebook page if you wanted to.

I would pay a couple bucks for a nice, waterproof (so it could go on an auto), "official" sticker that incorporated this QR code, like in the attached image.

  • I have mentioned this multiple times and I don't know if I've read a response. Please please please improve the messaging system in SOME way to be able to EASILY see if you've replied to someone yet. Right now I have to click on EACH AND EVERY message to see, and then go back to my inbox to check the next one. My inbox is a complete disaster.

Give the ability to archive a message (I would archive once replied, so would only have messages still in need of a response in my primary inbox).

Some symbol, text, or other display in the inbox clearly showing which messages you have replied to or not (should be easier for you, but not as clean for us, as I would scan messages, but might still miss something if it's far back enough).

SOMETHING. Please. Its bad enough having messages deleted once an active thread gets long enough (this is really bad for pros, who wants like to keep solid records of all messages with an active client). I hate having people think I'm ignoring them and their message has simply gotten lost. This is a real problem on this site, people feeling they can't get responses, and I am someone who WANTS to respond to everyone, yet I still mke people feel ignored. This is incredibly frustrating for me :-(

@galowglass Thanks for the feedback. I'll double the favourites limit fairly soon.

    @ubergigglefritz

Is this an issue for you because you like to open unread messages with intention of replying to them at a later date?

I do get that it's annoying that you can't take a peak at a message without it losing its highlighted colour in your inbox. I remember having that same issue on the Gmail app before realising there was a button that could easily force it back to showing as unread again.

    Is that the general problem?

  • Yes. I always read messages right away, but do not always have time to reply, and often prefer to reply once I'm on a computer instead of just my phone.

Ok, in the short term I'll look into showing an icon for conversations that only have a messages from the sender. And I will add to the roadmap intention to add a 'Make Unread' button.

  • Thanks, but it should be if the most recent message is from the sender. We may have been talking back and forth for however long already, but I still don't want to forget to reply to them. Thanks O:-)

  • Ok fair enough :+1:

  • As a “pro” I replied to every message I get. Sometimes I have to refer the prospective client the distance of how far away we are because sometimes they don’t look.

I’ve even give people who started to give me a weird vibe or who were people who would cancel last minute etc., a second chance. If there’s still a weird and creepy vibe, than I simply report them and their behavior but I have never not message someone back.

  • @Kai816 We are a rare breed of pros. I desperately want to reply to every message I get, which is why the current messaging system is frustrating for me. I hate realizing I hadn't replied to someone. It is difficult to keep track of so many messages when it's difficult to easily see which messages you've responded to.

I also seem to be limited in how many new meesages I can start in a day. If I do send out too many, it disables my ability to send new messages, for a period of time. This is pretty annoying but you may have your reasons for limiting that.

  • I think there needs to be a mobile app version of this site. Especially to better alert a user with a pop up notification of a message from an interested cuddler right on their phone since a lot of people rarely or never really check their emails often. I'm guilty of it myself and the only way I know I've had a reply is if I remember to check this site every so often. If someone messages me or I message someone, who knows how much time could pass and me or the other person might think that the other is not interested or profile might be inactive so an app with instant notification might be better. It's 2018, everything is mostly an app these days. This site needs to catch up with the times :)

    @Jc07

Web based push notifications are on the roadmap, though frustratingly iOS still does not support this.

At this point there is no plan for an app. It has been carefully considered in regards to the net benefit to users and the sizeable resource/investment it would take away from improving the website (which works well on mobile).

  • Agree. Let's get the site "finished" before worrying about an app. So much still to be done.

  • How come I don't get email notifications for messages anymore? I was surprised to have five messages this morning in my inbox and zero emails notifying me of them. Thanks.

  • [Deleted User]galowglass (deleted user)

The notifications were off-line for about 24 hours. They posted a notice that it's back up.

  • Thanks. Where is this posted?

  • [Deleted User]galowglass (deleted user)

It was a notification that showed up on the top of the home page when I logged in. I clicked the checkbox to close the message.

It might be a ggod idea for them to make this a forum entry. I'll start a thread.

  • I suggest there be limit albeit a liberal number, of how many times a user may post in a week or a day.

@mickcuddle Let me suggest an alternative: Defer the ability of brand new members to start a thread until they have been onsite for a while. They can post in the "Introductions" thread right away, but not start their own thread for a week or two --- or, perhaps, until they have participated by posting in other threads a certain number of times. This requirement would accomplish two things:

    1. It would eliminate the ability of trolls to create a profile just to drop a troll post on the home page and disappear. Two days ago someone posted a thread called "Escorting!!!" and opined that, at these prices, pros must be escorts. Deleted his profile after posting that. Today someone (probably same person) started a thread called "Undercover!!!" and charged the site with being a worldwide sex ring. LOL "All the pros I contacted were escorts and prostitutes." And again, this person deleted his account after posting. Perhaps we should make it a little bit more inconvenient to do that.

    2. It just might reduce the number of people who join the site and post on the forum without bothering to read any of the past threads. Cutting down on the number of newbies who post:

    "Is this real?"
"Any cuddlers in [insert locale here]?
    "How can I stay safe?"
    "Any market for male pros?"

Nothing wrong with any of those topics. But if you've been here more than two months, you've seen them each umpteen times. Prohibiting newbies from starting threads before they have had a chance to look around a little would cut down on the endless repetition.

Edit: another way to deal with Problem #1 above might be to structure the site so that a user's posts automatically disappear if they were made shortly before he deleted his account.

  • I agree with @quietman775. What appears to be the same person just made a porno post then deleted his account.

  • Well said, @quietman775. I agree. The troll uptick is unsettling. I'm all for some hoops to jump through if it means people have a short "time out" to get acclimated and prove their literacy versus trollishness.

  • [Deleted User]nikbklyn1 (deleted user)

I reply to every message I get. Unfortunately most of them are time wasters who haven’t read my profile details. There are too many trolls with poor English skills who just send a phone number.

  • edited September 2018

I think the suggestion from @quietman775 is excellent. Prevent new members from starting a thread except in Introductions for a couple of weeks. I flag all the inappropriate threads I notice. I don't know if anyone acts on it.

  • @quietman775 I agree with your suggestions 100%. But I also worry that we may be scaring off some potential forum participants when the see one or two names (and they change over time) who seem to dominate multiple threads.

  • [Deleted User]garysmith (deleted user)

Hi, for my two-penny'th, I agree with @quietman775 in that it would be preferable to limit new subscribers from starting new threads for a period. It won't stop all trolls, but will frustrate trolls who "hit and run".

Earlier, someone commented on the "visitor" tab. I think that's useful, as it is a potential conversation starter, when you see that someone has revisited your own profile a couple of times, but not yet made contact. I also think it promotes a degree of openness as well.

    Just a thought,
    Gary

  • I can say for myself at least that if I were limited by not being able to start threads and had limited messaging capabilities when I first joined I likely would not be here today. Yes there are some trolls, or rather the same troll making multiple accounts, however apart from this recent surge it really hasn't been that big of an issue. I like that you can log in and add to the forum.

@garysmith - I disagree that visiting a profile should be grounds to start messaging someone. People visit other profiles for many reasons, often just to see where a person is located or perhaps their age. That does not indicate a level of interest and should not be taken as an invitation to make contact. I get lots of people visiting my profile but if they were interested, they would message me.

  • edited September 2018

Oh @UKGuy I disagree. Just as you can’t assume someone is interested when they look at your profile you cannot assume someone who looks and doesn’t leave a message is not interested. If you find him or her interesting, go ahead and message. You have no way of knowing why they looked, and by the same token, you have no way of knowing why they didn’t write you.
