This is a non-cuddle event to meet other cuddlers in person. Cuddling maybe-could occur if parties are interested. However the focus of these events is to meet other members of Cuddle Comfort in an environment without the expectation of cuddling. Cuddlers from outside Knoxville are welcome and encouraged to join.
During the meet and greet event itself you may or will see any of the following:
Your host, @VitaminJ along with myself will be there to greet you upon your arrival. We will have name tags and markers which we encourage peeps to wear. It definitely helps us forgetful ones 🤣 Most people put their Username and first name on the tag.
We encourage people to bring their favorite table games especially ones that let lots of people play at the same time. ( I remember one meet and greet a few years ago where we had a bunch of us play a very spirited game of Uno! ) But think of any card games or table games you can bring and hopefully you can teach us a new one! We have had some meet and greets outside like this one where peeps have brought yard games like the newer and improved Jarts! So think along those lines and all will be good 🤗
We are meeting and greeting from 10am to 2pm. If you want to get there a half hour or so before you can help us set up! 👍and if you can stick around and help clean up that is awesome also.
I will be coming from breakfast that morning so I don't know how hungry I will be. But peeps like to bring their favorite snacks and drinks which is encouraged and if you can bring enough to share, well that is amazing of you. (this is one of the reasons we try to rsvp so people know how many are coming) Host(s) will bring various snacks like chips / pretzels and water bottles / ice , picnic supplies, etc. so we will have that there . It will probably be warm (it is august in Tennessee ) so dress accordingly for that and stay hydrated.
Lots of peeps like music playing in the background so if you want to, please bring your playlist and Bluetooth speaker and lets have a listen to your favorites! 🎵
It is a park so people may decide they want to walk and explore the area around the area for conversations which is very normal. People may decide to bring a blankets or hammocks and spend time that way . It is a park! So think park stuff! 🤗
So how much is this gonna cost $ me? Absolutely nothing . We do not charge anything for the meet and greet. We do however have some minimal costs to rent the setting etc. so a donation bucket will be on the table if you wish to help out that way but you are under no obligation to do so.
There is information on this thread about our Rocky Top Cuddle World Headquarters . (See page 2 of this thread for info) The Hampton Inn folks are usually very accommodating and typically let us use their lobby / breakfast area for places to gather before and after the meet and greet. I know we have quite a group staying there from Friday to Sunday and that's were we usually continue the fun and connection with each other. People ask what are we doing the night before or the night after? Well that's were the scheming mostly begins lol 🤗 Nothing is officially planned at HQ during these specific times, but in the past we again continue playing games, conversing, eating, etc. and just enjoying the comradery from this amazing community.
People like to keep memories of these meet and greets by taking photos which is fine. Only rule of course is consent. Ask if it is ok to take a picture with people(s) first. It is very normal and perfectly fine to say no. Knowing we are preaching to the choir here, you are all experts with asking for consent. 👍 😊🙏 We usually get asked to post pictures of the meet and greet on this thread which again is ok. Just ask for permission please. And if someone changes their mind and want the picture on this thread removed that is fine also and please do that. I have done that a few time myself. No big deal.

Thank you @OhioMike ! After the park picnic meet and greet one option is to hop on a Double Decker pontoon boat and have a float on the lake or go down the slide and have a swim! There is room for 14 people and you must rsvp with me directly to be included on this list. Bring your favorite beverage and a snack to share. The marina is about 10 min from the meet & greet location and we will plan to be on the lake from about 3-7:30 pm. Please message be with any questions!
