Giving out phone number when purposely scheduled long time ahead

I honestly do not like giving my personal contact number unless least 4 days of scheduled session. Ive found some ppl purposely scheduling sessions a long time ahead & then ask for phone number as if i don't know they'll change or cancel session after receiving # . I prefer to discuss details through the app & im not prompting myself saying this

  1. Do you give # out way ahead of time ?23 votes

  • I always keep communication on the site no matter how far or close the booking is. There are wayyyyy too many men that have wanted to take me off site to ask me inappropriate questions, to see where my boundaries lie, or to cancel the booking and still want to message back and forth nonstop every day. I’ve always said that I don’t mind having a conversation, I do love chatting, but I know the difference between someone wanting to make a connection and someone taking advantage of my time.

I keep it on the site. If they give me the excuse “it’s just faster texting”, too bad. I’ve told them my boundaries, so for them to immediately turn around and say “yea but….” Means they don’t respect my boundaries. And if they don’t respect that, what else are they going to disrespect? I would say at least 90% of the convos I’ve agreed to take offsite after a booking end up being inappropriate

  • I wouldn't give your phone number, if you give it at all, until the client has confirmed the appointment the day before.

Asking for it a long time in advance is a big shiny red flag.

  • In my experience, ( not that it's very extensive ), the pros I schedule with will ask to trade phone numbers.

  • As a client I do not expect to get the phone number until the day of the meeting. What do I need it for before then? I only need it in case get lost or to tell the pro I'm outside.

My most recent session the pro didn't give her number until about 30 minutes before we were meeting, and I was already in transit to her. And not for nothing, it's 2025, at that point I didn't need the actual number, we were communicating via messaging on the site even while traveling.

I do find phone is better when traveling because internet isn't always great. But there is no need for the phone days and weeks in advance. Maybe there is a legit reason some want a phone number super early, but feels really suspect.

I don't give my information out until the night before. I have had people book that live 4 hours away.... so I want to make sure they are aware of how far away I am from them. I sometimes will give them an approximate location a day before or so. I know it can be nerve racking for the guys as well to know if the person is real and really wants to go through with meeting up with them. Just a show of confidence thing... But absolutely no earlier. This site protects us. Everything single thing Sheena said is accurate.

I use a phased approach to giving people the location of my house:

    London is on my profile.

The partial postcode is a big patch and I don't use very much, and when I do it's mostly with accounts I'm not yet convinced by.

The suburb (smaller than the partial postcode area) is given freely once things are going well.

The full postcode only when a meeting is fully confirmed, which is never more than a week away: this is quite a small area and enough to pin me down if you're willing to do the legwork. However it's helpful for people to plan journeys since the suburb has a bewildering mixture of possibilities: almost everybody comes on public transport, I think I've only ever had one person come in a car.

    Actual address the day before.

I am cautious, but I'm very experienced at meeting people from the internet in a variety of contexts. I'm less cautious than I would be if I was a woman, or a professional.

I say "suburb". There are people round here who, in spite of their cultured demeanor, would consider punching you in the face if you called this area a "suburb". Eugh, how dreadfully lower middle class: this is central London, darling.

Same issue for me as mentioned above, normally I only get asked for my number so people can ask absolutely WILD questions or request a free video chat, it's very odd. I use my Google number once I DO give it out, just to be extra safe. I do like having numbers before meeting to find out directions and immediate contact if needed but otherwise, I try to keep it here
