CuddleComfort email notifications, offline for 24 hours

In case you missed the dialog, upon logging-in, this site experienced about a 24 hour outage of email notifications, and a shorter, complete-outage, when the system was being reset. Thanks for your patience!

    Thx for the update

  • I stay logged in, so I'm not sure where this notice was, but never saw it. Thanks. It should be a banner across all pages. On my personal website, I keep a banner with notices at the top of all pages. That is where I would put anything important and essential that I want to make sure everyone is aware of...

It was at the top of the homepage in a green box. It was removed earlier today.

Sounds sensible, though I wouldn't really consider this bit of information "important and essential".

  • Oh, I don't even go to the homepage, pretty much ever (only when I need to make a payment). I go to my messages page, and then the visitors page, and the forum. Occasionally I will go to the cuddlers search page, but unless I need to make a payment, there is no reason to go to the homepage. When I start typing the url on my computer, it just auto fills into the messages page.

It's important and essential information for those of us who try to provide quick responses to people, ha (and to those who might be anxious to get a response). If my business website had a bug where I was not notified of inquiries, I would for sure put a notification on my site notifying people that there may be a delay in receiving a response from any inquiries until further notice. If I knew it was an issue, I would have checked the page more often, but I was just checking my email and not seeing anything all day. What would you consider "important and essential information"? O:-)

It was just a note after the fact. If it was planned or known at the time then a genuine effort would have been made.

Interesting that you don't visit your homepage. I suppose adding these notices above the inbox makes sense.

  • Thanks. Yeah, no need for the homepage if I'm already logged in. I would expect that to be pretty normal. Would be pretty curious the stats. Any browser will auto fill to the most frequent site, and for me that's the inbox. I have no need to override the suggestion to go to the home page first...

  • Now I know why my favorite cuddler has not responded. She normally does within a few hours. Thanks for the update.
