@CSnMUS87 75-100% for a deposit sounds really excessive.

    Did you report the pro?

  • This site needs its own point of sale and requesting deposits through third-parties should be a bannable offense.

  • @WriterGF No by the time I checked they were already banned despite having been on here for a while.

  • @CSnMUS87

You my man got scammed. That is why I never send deposits, no matter how many or how good of karma they have. I have good karma too, yet if they don't trust me and my good karma enough to schedule without a deposit, why should I trust them and their good karma?

@lonelybug What goes into setting something like that up?

  • Wow so sorry to hear that. Glad she's banned and can't do it to anyone else.

@lonelybug ” point of sale” ?? Please elaborate .. I don’t require a deposit , but, I see nothing wrong with it .. UBER gets paid in full before you even get into the car and my hair salon, Vet, plastic surgeon , my Dentist ( porcelain veneers ) ask for a deposit from everyone upfront .. I don’t mind at all.. if I were to ask for a deposit here, I would only give it back if the cuddle client had a good reason for canceling at the last minute or not showing up for the scheduled appt.. family/work priorities, emergency situations are acceptable ., ghosting me/ blocking me right before a scheduled appt is not acceptable ..

  • @SweetCuddler33 Point of sale as in paying deposits through this site where cuddle comfort can offer protection to the pro and the client in an event someone ghosts. All those that you mentioned requiring deposits usually allow you to pay with credit card, giving the customer an ability to dispute in an event they don't get the desired outcome. Deposits now a days on this site are sent through third party apps with no protection and no recourse in the event someone is scammed.

  • The Olsen Twins also say "No" is a full sentence.

@l8nightcuddler Thanks. How much would that cost for the site to create and maintain? My concern is that anything that adds appreciably to the operating cost will require the site to start charging membership fees. I also wonder if CC would resist this since the pros are not employees here. This is just a spot for pros to connect with clients, but there is no other connection, so not sure the site wants to take direct responsibility for the money changing hands.

@SweetCuddler33 you pay an uber driver through the uber app. Plastic surgeons, dentists, and hair salons have invoices, bills etc. You also have recourse to dispute charges in those cases.

A pro here may ask for a deposit through cashapp completely off THIS platform. You’re effectively sending cash to a stranger you met online.

    Spot the diff?

  • @lonelybug I see.. If I asked for deposits I would use cash app . Thanks! Have a wonderful day 🌞happy cuddling! 🤗

  • Show up on time to your appts or give notice that you will not be able to make it, cancel with good reason.. meet an enthusiast? Sorry to anyone who has been scammed by Pros .. We have to show ID/have a valid bank/credit card on file as part of becoming a Pro cuddler on this site.. If a pro scams or tries to scam anyone , Report them and they will be banned by the site Moderators! 😃

So if you get scammed on here there's no way to get the money back?

  • @cool_dude_
I hope I’m explaining this correctly, but the transaction and payment made was directly from you to the Pro. The site isn’t involved in $$ transactions between Pro and Client. When a session is booked, the site takes a 15% commission directly from the Pro using the card the Pro she has on file unless she cancels the session and claims it never took place.
(This is handled differently when it’s a male Pro.)

@cool_dude_ if scammed you should gather all of your information, records, messages and go to the police at once !

  • [Deleted User]cool_dude_ (deleted user)

I wasn't, just asking cause ive not booked anyone so idk how it works, reporting them and getting them banned is alright but still sucks you can't get your money back without getting police involved.

  • [Deleted User]WriterGF (deleted user)

@lonelybug Uber drivers work for Uber. Pros don't work for CC.

  • @WriterGF The site can give an option for whoever wants to accept payment through here and charge them an extra fee for that. Yes the site handling money and being on the hook for those that decide to scam isn't free but that's the only way I would ever pay a deposit. Sending a deposit though zelle or cash app to a random person on cuddlecomfort is no different than finding a person online that is selling something on the local marketplace and sending them money with no way to get it back before you actually see the item and meet in person to get it.

  • My bottom line is that the existence of pros that request a deposit had no negative impact on my experience here. If you wanna roll the dice on someone that asks for a deposit, go ahead. if you don't, don't.

Also, someone will need to manage the deposits held in escrow. And who's gonna do that for free?

  • There is a commission that handles all decisions on deposits, the risk involved, and if the deposits are fraudulent or legitimate. That commission is headed by you and all decisions are handed down by you. This one person commission does not even require the site’s involvement, only your willingness to apply common sense in all affairs, and that, like the stock market, it is subject to substantial loss if you decide to invest your money in their time.

  • [Deleted User]WriterGF (deleted user)

@l8nightcuddler If CC wants to invest and add new features to the site, I think there are other ones that improve safety to a larger extent. Beyond that, anything that is going to involve significant expense adds to the possibility of there being a membership fee, which will kill the site in short order. (How many guys are going to pay every month so they can also pay a pro?)

As others have pointed out, if you don't want to pay a deposit, for any reason, that is completely your right. Hire pros who don't ask for one. End of problem.

At least when soft drink bottles had deposits you received a soda for your troubles at the time of deposit. And it kept many a kid busy picking up bottles on sides of roads for money. That was a deposit I could get behind even if the reason was to save pop manufacturers money from having to buy fewer new bottles.

  • @TheFunCartel Comparing warm cuddles from kind, caring platonic cuddlers to cold glass/plastic bottles of soda pop? 😃

    @WriterGF 🙌 yes, exactly ! Well said 👏 thank you 😊

  • @SweetCuddler33 Well everyone else was comparing deposits from all over the place so I thought I would add that one in. I wasn’t comparing cuddlers to bottles; I was comparing deposits.

  • It’s ok to agree/disagree .. different opinions, beliefs, preferences , etc.. “to pay or not to pay “.. it’s all good.. it’s ok 👍 Kindness, empathy and respect for others matters most 🤗

  • @JCarm @cool_dude_ I was scammed by someone who wanted a deposit when I joined this site in 2018. In my heart of hearts I knew it was a risk, but it seemed less likely based off all the feel good stuff about the “community”. I was burned as well and being new I didn’t completely understand how the site operated.

Now I do. That person I dealt with deleted themselves and I have never seen them again (i never saw them to begin with after I Venmoed them the deposit). But I instantly ignore any cuddler now that demands a deposit. I don’t know them but they don’t know me and that’s why they want a deposit. There is not much that can be done beyond reporting them to the mods if they abscond with your funds. The police won’t do anything. Heck they really don't do much if a vehicle is stolen so why would they lift a finger over $50 or even a $100 loss of deposit? Because of this I just move on as most cuddlers do not require a deposit.

Now, once you have karma and trust in the community built up, you may be approached by a pro who requires a deposit. When I first reached this point of karma and trust I said I do not do deposits and voila! They magically dropped the deposit. But if they don’t drop it I would be very wary.

It’s the old adages of buyer beware and fool me once…

  • Cuddler deposits and soda pop deposits are not the same 😃 , but, ok 👍 Enjoy! 😊

Everyone have a wonderful day! I’m off work for a few days , RN.. I’m going to be playing golf ⛳️ and enjoying this beautiful summer day in about 10 minutes 🏌️‍♀️

Cuddler deposits and soda pop deposits are not the same

@SweetCuddler33 You took it literally? Hmm. Zoom, zoom. Never said they were the same. Matter of fact, I was obviously joking that a cuddle deposit and a coke bottle deposit are not the same as I clearly illustrated. You get nothing from a deposit with a cuddler other than a “promise” from a stranger that they might show but you actually receive something at the time of the deposit from a soda. I don’t know why you like to distort what you read. Never said a thing that they were the same.
