How does cuddling makes one feel, it is a general feeling for everyone?
Hmm, for me it’s sort-of like a combination feeling of that relaxed feeling you get after a massage, the happy grogginess of when you wake up from a good dream, and a meditation type feeling of unconditional love.
I’m guessing some feelings are universal, from the oxytocin, but the experience is probably more personal.
I’m interested to hear what others have to say!
@patsazzally I don’t think Oxcotin may be the proper word for it as I thought that was more of a hormone released during childbirth to help the cervix and helping the mother to produce milk milk produce so mother and child bond...but regardless, To me as a Pro cuddler, I make sure the time spent is all about my client and their needs, which in turn makes me happy if I’m able to help them. To comfort, relax and just be there for them when they are in need. It’s satisfaction in many ways for my client and me as a cuddler.
Amazingly, oxytocin does stimulate labor and breastfeeding, but it plays different roles depending upon context.
Here’s an interesting article about it: https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.livescience.com/42198-what-is-oxytocin.html
For me, I don't believe that oxytocin helps really with anything related to child birth... On second thought, maybe it does!
But if we are just talking "feelings", while it does vary depending on some factors which aren't completely clear to me at this point (in other words, I don't have a universal feeling with everyone), then the two words that I use to describe cuddling with someone that I like are: 1. "Love" (I put it in quotes because I understand that there may be varying opinions on the meaning of "love") 2. "euphoria" (ditto)
And yes, the feeling varies depending on with whom I am cuddling, and I have noticed that it can be influenced by things such as the topic of conversation and mental/emotional connection that I have with my partner while cuddling.
@pastazzally Cuddling makes me feel comfortable, loved, and wanted. That's why I enjoy sharing that feeling
To the OP... We all bring our own stuff to the table. It must be unique to each person. But since we all get that hormone release that comes with touch and being around kind, caring people, we all get wallopped with that rush of love and bonding. But again, depending on where you are (metaphysically speaking), I think we would all still experience it differently. For me it was a huge rush of "new". It was a revitalizing, scary, awakening and healing wave of love. Peace.
