Tucker and Dale vs Evil is a good one for sure. I find most "serious" horror movies violate realism too much to even have a chance at being scary, at least for me.
I saw Death of a Unicorn recently (which was more of a dark comedy) with Paul Rudd but it was pretty darn good!

Well, last weekend I watched Weapons. Lol 😆
The ending had me cracking up throughout that entire theater, definitely gonna watch that again if I can. 👍👍👍
On a scale of 1 to terrified, The Strangers is one of the few horror movies that still scares me long after watching it. Like just thinking of watching it right now is unsettling.
Also this is a good unsettling one too.

@MTex if tippi Herndon was an animal rights activist then so is the lady from chimp crazy. She put the big cats her family and herself in mortal danger daily having a brood of them in her home... Not saying I wouldn't have enjoyed a visit but... Not very good for anyone. 😆 I don't know if you have seen the movie about her and the making of the birds and the way Alfred Hitchcock treated her... That's almost far more scary than anything he made. The guy was creepy.
@Morpheus Yes I did, I found little spots of humor throughout. And I liked the addition of the witch into "the WHY" of it all, plus she was not "made up like a clown 🤡" as some assumed...No she looked like how Gloria Swanson (from Sunset Boulevard) or Betty Davis (from What Ever Happened To Baby Jane?) was "made up" in those movies. Lol! 🤣 Ya know, like really old Hollywood starlets who refuse to stop wearing makeup at some point, because they refuse to accept that make up just isn't doing its job for them anymore. 😏
That's how the witch looked to Me, her makeup didn't say "clown 🤡" to me. Lol
Mama won't wear makeup anymore, because she says it looks terrible on her now as an older lady. Which is good as she is accepting what is in her old age, when the time comes for me to realize it the older that I get...I too will say goodbye to make up! 👋💅👋💄👋
