Do any of you ever feel buyers remorse? If so, share your stories and thoughts please.
To clarify, I’m not talking about pro cuddlers, I just meant buyers remorse in general.
A certified, pre-owned pickup truck that I purchased ended up being a real lemon.
But it was my fault. I was very busy at the time and didn't do my due diligence beforehand.
My most recent car purchase. To preface, I went looking for a used work car, as I drive 100+ miles a day round trip. My faithful Yaris got over 300k miles on it and then the timing chain went bad (I'd still like to fix it but timing chains are a bit beyond my current scope, especially if I have to take the engine out). Research told me that the best vehicle for another 250-300k miles would be a Sentra, so that's what I went in search of. I found one at a reasonable price, and while I knew it would need work soon, (tires, brakes, probably plugs and coils, etc) I was not expecting it to need the door hardware replaced. I checked everything I knew to check when buying it. The battery had a 12/24 sticker on it, the belt looked good, minimal rust, it has drums on the back so I'd only need to do front pads and rotors, and all the lights and locks worked... or so I thought. Come to find out the driver's side door lock mechanisms were bad, and they couldn't give me a factory remote for it (I'm guessing the lock had been replaced and nothing was reported to Carfax. I ended up putting over 1k in repairs and remote programming into it, and a new battery because the 12/24 sticker was a joke.
I wish I had done more research on vehicles before purchasing a brand new car. Not a lemon but I certainly could've gotten more bang for my buck with the car note I'm paying
Couple years ago I walked into a Huyndai dealership with someone a day after they bought a car there and redid her deal for 6k less. Scumbags. Lowered the nterest rate by half and got rid of the extended "warranty".
Don't ever ever buy the extended warranty. Don't buy any of their stories. These warranties are worthless.
My former marriage
Pretty much every time I walk out of the restaurant lately. Poor service, Poor food quality, poor cooking. lower standards overall. Last was Outback Steakhouse. Lady serves a steak that is totally burnt on the outside and when it was pointed out to her she goes "but how is on the inside?". I called the shift manager and asked her if the cook is blind. Also asked who is doing quality control on these shoe soles before they leave the kitchen. she said she wasn't sure. Bring on the humanoids. I'm ready. can't wait.
I had to stop going to auctions on the way back home I think to myself. WHY in the world did I buy that. Lol
Ok so here’s my recent buyers remorse. It all started with my Wife and her siblings wanting to do a siblings only (myself, my Wifer, her Brother and Sister) Thanksgiving. We decided we would do this in Vegas. I’m typically not a Hotel guy, I’m more an airbnb guy but I got a deal from the Marriot that I felt was too good to pass up. I purchased a package which included a 3 night stay in a one bedroom suite at the Grand Chateau in Vegas, full kitchen, washer/dryer etc The package also included a 4 night stay in a 2 bedroom suite also at the Grand Chateau. In addition they gave me enough bonvoy points to get up to 6 free nights anywhere. I did my homework and legit received a 66.6% discount. So we are set for our siblings only thanksgiving vacation and I saved a lot of money but why do I feel buyers remorse lol
Madden 26 on the Nintendo switch 2
Already had it on PC, dunno what I was thinking. Just seemed like a cool idea to play it on a Nintendo system again.
The game is a buggy piece of junk and I keep throwing interceptions because of the difference in buttons abxy being in different places lol.
You stole that from Aaron Rodgers when he was with the Jets.
@Morpheus What is a siblings only Thanksgiving? Does that mean spouses can't join? I've never heard of this.
I bought two slices of pizza instead of the Baconator at Wendy’s today for the same price. The service was 25x poorer at the pizza place.
Immediate regret after devouring both slices on the way home.
@wilderdude
I imagine you thought like I would and see the desire for that game to be a little more mobile. I would have (and often do) the same thing for that very reason (though i would not do it with any madden games ... but that's because I tend to stay away from sports games with a few exceptions) 🙂
@OokerSnapper my wife has a brother and sister and both are single. Although they are in laws, I’ve been around them so long, I just call them my Brother and Sister, I leave the in law part out. Our sibling only Thanksgiving would include my Wife, her Brother and Sister and myself.
@GuyverGordon lol nah that wasn't it, have a rog ally x that I can play it mobile on
Leisure suits. Yep, I bought two.
OMG, the 70s was the decade of questionable fashion choices. Even in sports. Remember the White Sox baseball uniforms in shorts in 1976?
I won’t even go into shiny polyester shirts and an over abundance of corduroy pants.
Yes, I have destroyed all of those photos.
@gem7 A blind date showed up at my door in a light blue leisure suit, about 1976 maybe? I didn’t want to go, that was so far outside of my type. But of course I went, I would never be rude. We weren’t a match in other ways also but that was the first clue.
@g_w_t_w I am sure he looked very stylish. At least in his eyes.
@gem7 Ugh to wearing petroleum products. lol. Did you burn yours and did they melt?
@g_w_t_w I should have liquefied them and lubricated my car. I wore them once before I realized my feeble attempt at being cool.
I like home-made Crab Cakes recipe found on TV Chef Ramsey website, until I discover frozen Maryland Style Crabcakes by Phillips and SeaPak brands in grocery stores for quick meals. Oftentimes these brands are sold-out in stores. Incidentally I spotted Walmart's alternate "TV Chef Ramsay Crab Cakes Appetizer (Frozen)." Walmart will NOT Refund first opened of three packages due to false Nutrient Labels where the actual 'salt' level far exceeds the FDA intake guidelines. Despite Walmart store management was already aware of the common complaints.
@gem7 I bet you were really cool (still 😎) much more so without wearing a leisure suit! Hey we’ve all been victims of fashion trends!
@TheFunCartel That made me think of those ultra short NBA basketball shorts of 1980s (?)
Those NBA short shorts made the players look a lot taller.
My buyer's remorse has usually been with big-ticket items, like cars. Fortunately I've not been stuck with any 'lemons', but when I was younger I too often realized afterwards that I'd paid too much or that my interest rate was too high.
Have gotten better about tempering that urgency of "I gotta have it!" with getting a better deal on the car.
@g_w_t_w they brought them back for a "throwback" night on the Lakers lol. Players looked so uncomfortable in them, and refused to come out after the half unless they could wear their regular shorts. The team conceded and let them change out of the old style shorts.

@wilderdude I think I remember that!
