KPOP DEMON HUNTERS.....watch or nah?

So kpop DH is all the rage right now it got so popular on Netflix their playing it in the theaters at the same time. Songs are being played on the radio and it's hitting billboards top 10. The last female pop group that made too 10 was destiny childs 24years ago. And this song made it to the top 10 with ease.

Not gonna lie I seen the thumbnail on Netflix for weeks had no interest in watching until I heard a song on the radio and they played it at my job and was curious where it was from

After watching it I'm impressed has all the compelling elements of a good movie catchy music epic fight scenes good vs evil and real human reactions relatable to real world struggles move hate betrayal it has it all but it doesn't shoehorn it in it flows evenly

I give it solid 8 out if 10

  • It was a great movie for me. The songs are very catchy and the animation was cool.

  • Yes Clara I start watching it expecting to hate it one of those hype trains I could derail

It went a different direction that I expected and I got hooked

    I didn’t want to like it. I really didn’t. But I did.
Every song is a banger. It’s got a great message. Especially if you do have kids but in a fan of Disney’s and Pixar and dreamworks anyway.

  • It was amazing like it had a Disney cartoonish to it that I really adored, and in the songs ATE

  • I watched it with my 9 yr old grandson. It’s his favorite movie and I actually really liked it.
He has every single song completely memorized, he’s watched it a few times. Is also learning Korean because my son lives in Seoul & I spend a lot of time in there.
I enjoy all the K-pop culture.

  • Def worth watching. I watched it 3 times in a day when I first saw it.

  • @g_w_t_w @CharlieBear
My kids have watched it 4 times. Twice with their grandma. Twice with me.
It ended up being so much better than I was anticipating.
Even my mom liked it a lot!! 😁

  • My son watched it at his martial arts school "Ninja Night". He came home and made me watch it. The next day he made both me and mommy watch it. Last week he made everyone watch it at my parents house watch it... I expect I'll be seeing it a few more times before he gets tired of it. [He was already heavily into Kpop since his mom is a huge fan of some groups... he wants to go to a Black Pink and a Baby Monster concert, lol.]

  • @mauvefox
I was surprised at how good it is for all ages and I will probably be watching it again. Had a good message.

  • It was kinda cringe for me. I'm a huge fan of Disney and Pixar films but this felt like a money grab situation. It's advertised well, but I couldn't get past 20 mins of it 🤷🏾‍♀️

  • @ShaySnuggles , what made you feel that it was a money grab more than any other movie?

  • The little ones in my life got me to watch it, it was cute and pretty funny! Very catchy songs, they are playing the songs on the radio and on streaming apps now too lol

  • As a super Kpop Stan, Golden is a very good song. The others range from good to meh. It’s not bad, I would say above average and after watching most will say it’s cute.
KPop songs are usually half Korean and half in English. It’s rare for a song to be all English. If anyone wants recommendations to some really good songs or groups send me a message or reply in here

It had near zero advertising because Sony thought it was a 2nd tier niche movie and gave it away to Netflix. Since then it has quickly became the K-pop global invasion. 5 songs in the movie are in the Billboard top 10. That’s crazy.

  • lol yes I loved it, I watched it twice already. And I will watch it again.

Beautifully made movie , unmatched soundtrack . Allow yourself to experience it . I listen to the playlist in the mornings and during my workouts . It’s a great watch .

  • YOURE MY SODA POP! 🥤✨

  • Make every cuddler I book watch it with me that's automatic 2hrs lol a win win

  • @Mr_Cuddle_Bear never said it was 'the most' money grab but to me it was super obvious and not even worth the hype. Not too offend but these people were just...bored. 3 teenagers with singing powers that fight demons while touring is... lazy work. 🥱

  • It was a really good movie and I'll likely watch it several more times.

  • Sequel and a live concert with the actual singers are already confirmed

  • @FutureHeart2023 😱 I seriously can’t stop listening to Your Idol. If they existed irl, I’d be done 😅

  • Went with family to see it in the theater as a sing a long. So cute and loved the songs. All the people were singing and dancing along. Would watch it again. Heard they are making a number 2.

  • I actually really enjoyed it! I thought it was gonna be more for kids but was pleasantly surprised ☺️

  • Never watched. Just listened to the Takedown song.. not for me.

  • WATCH 💯%

  • @zoeloveshugs there are way more songs in the movie, too 🙂

  • I struggled trying to watch it. I found it boring and cliche.

I’ll try to watch it again to see the hype .

  • I love it and have watched it... countless times. I was hoping the sing a long came to a theater here. But it did not! It's a super fun movie with catchy songs!

  • I just heard about K-Pop Demon Hunters and now I’m dying to watch it! Sounds like a perfect cuddle-movie pick. 💖🎶👹
