Are Britains the best cuddlers?!

Their bios seem to be a little more enthusiastic or interested (outgoing? more straightforward?), so I'm wondering if maybe they're just more comfortable with it or Americans are a little sensitive...

Maybe it's me but America seems a little less relaxed or open to these kinds of things, maybe we're paranoid from the news media or the polarity of our social dialogue... I don't want to get too deep but I feel like European or similar countries are a little more laid back with things outside of the social norm.

I have no idea about people from other countries here, as I haven't seen any profiles from anywhere but the UK or Britain or America. I know Japan has cuddle shops on the street though that looked pretty interesting.

    Best cuddler is the one that's close, and says, "Yes". grin
    And, I guess, don't judge a book by it's cover. The social norms are definately different, like you say.

    I had a good cuddle with a British lady. Can't say I've had any with the ladies from my own country yet, so I'm gonna say it's plausible.

    100% yes. We're so polite that we won't mention an uncomfortable arm, leg or other appendage, to the point it loses feeling. Then, once that happens, it doesn't hurt. Win!

    We are also very good at handshakes.

    Let’s see: I’ve cuddled American-born caucasians, as well as hispanics, African-americans, Vietnamese, Chinese, Filipinas, East-Indians, Asian/Caucasian mixes and a Russian woman. Did I have my favorites? Sure. Was it based on where they originated? No.
    Are some more likely to do it than others? Socially speaking, maybe. Racially speaking, maybe not. Country of origin not the US? It does appear to be the case. But I believe that to be due to social difference rather than country of origin.

    This is the problem with the world in general. People superficially lump whole groups in boxes because it is easier than finding out what each person is about. We are all the same and different at the same time.

    Oh boy. This is going to get into a competition to take lead by different countries ;) .. well in my opinion any human who understands truly the depth and value of Cuddle would be great cuddlers. Go figure who are those. Well you will find it takes to go beyond the geographical boundaries :) to categorize them as best cuddler! Just like me.. I belong to Cuddle Island! ? Once you will understand it, you would want to be part of my cuddle Island breaking the geographical boundaries .. lol.. ;)

    Maybe provoking, or prodding the bear, here.

    • Maybe UK folks are more touch-starved.
    • Maybe UK, "Island Life", just makes you more open to cuddles.
    • Maybe UK folks are more vocal in their demands.
    • Maybe UK folks don't beat-around-the-bush, and they let their enthusiasm come through.
    • Maybe UK folks are just excited to embrace another US trend.
    • Maybe US folks are so used-to getting spammed, that they are more conservative
    • Maybe US folks are more prudish and seem less enthusiastic.
    • Maybe the cultures just make it balance the way it does.

    Does anyone else have other ideas, why there could be differences between the two cultures?
