RIP Robert Redford

I will always remember him as The Sundance Kid but he did many great movies. Besides his acting and producing life he was also a wonderful humanitarian.

One of my all-time favorite actors!
    So many great accomplishments,
Loved his movies, he was a genuinely good person.
He also founded Sundance Institute - Sundance Film Festival for indie filmmakers.

  • I will miss him—one who lent his time and voice to the environment and his adopted state of Utah. I enjoyed his seemingly effortless performances as well. There was a lack of ego and pretense in him which is so rare now days.

  • He even got to be in the MCU movies (in Captain America: The Winter Soldier).

    Not many like him.

  • Lost a good one. I remember the first thing I remember him from was the 70s great Gatsby movie. Watched that in 10th grade English class.

  • Oh wow I just was watching one of his movies. Too many great people are passing away this year. Rip Redford and others that past away

  • I will always remember him as Marty from the movie Sneakers. And his role as a CIA analyst in “3 Days of the Condor”. He will be greatly missed.

  • R.I.P.

His likeness will likely be resurrected digitally in future movies.

  • I loved him in "The Natural "

He and Paul Newman were excellant together.

  • He famously wore two jock straps while filming love scenes in “The Way We Were”. Apparently Barbara Streisand couldn’t keep her hands off of him and was in lust with him.

He was the director of 'A River Runs Through It'. One of my favorite movies.

  • So many of his lesser movies are fantastic—Jeremiah Johnson, All Is Lost, The Last Castle, The Great Waldo Pepper, etc.

  • My daughter was friends with one of his grandchildren and she had a chance to meet Bob several times. He was very dedicated to his family and lived a private life as well that way. Of course, I was never invited to meet him (probably better!) lol

  • Is there a more important 20th century movie than All The President’s Men? Redford was fantastic as Bob Woodward and so was Dustin Hoffman portraying Carl Bernstein.

  • I loved him with Paul Newman in The Sting.

  • 1984joe ... why the red X? Too much violence in US, I am moving out lol
