I've made some nice spending cash playing drums/percussion or tutoring over the years. I guess that makes me a band pro. Jazz, classical, soft to hard rock, Americana, blues, country, gospel, and punk

I'm always thrilled to hear that someone likes jazz because it's my favorite music to play but it's been decreasing in popularity in recent years. I used to make a living as a musician--primarily saxophone and flute. I played lots of rock, pop and R&B but the only music I want to play these days is jazz. For me, it's the most challenging and expressive.

My kids are punk musicians. My daughter's band is opening for The Dead Milkmen in a few months!! Its a big deal to us.
I used to go to band camp. I went to music school. I write musical plays (Book, Music, Lyrics) so I'm competent on Keyboards, drums and percussion. I use virtual Instruments for my pit orchestra, so I even play drums from a keyboard now.
@Auroradream I never suspected they were still around! It's unlikely I'd be able to head out that way in a few months, but if I could, I would.
I play drum, guitar, and sing. I do about 80 performances per year. I’ve already done 68 this year.
