or is it just me? sometimes i'll send a message and they'll wont respond for a few days. happens way too many time to be the excuse to "too busy".
maybe a glitch?
It might be a response issue rather than delayed delivery.
If you're messaging women, they get buried in messages on here, especially enthusiast women, but pros too. May take them a while to get to yours. A lot of guys never hear back at all.
It means they are too busy, have too many messages, don’t feel like responding at that minute. Have a child who needs them. Have some work to finish, washing dishes or are binging on a Netflix series. Or maybe they’re just out for a walk or are tired. Messages happen in real time. No delay. I have back and forth messaging here all the time, I just stay signed in if I’m chatting with someone. It takes patience and a good idea to keep expectations in check.
Had 1 or 2 messages that wer glitched once aka didnt get a notification and it appeared way out of order
I find there's usually a delay when you're speaking to somebody "live". So I just refresh my page to get their message or send my message. I don't usually find any delays over a period of days it's usually a period of minutes.
@g_w_t_w Thank you! 🙌 This isn’t my job. And even for the pros who this is their job, other priorities might have come first or their might be a queue of people before you to respond to. I know sometimes it’s because I want to respond thoughtfully and I don’t have the bandwidth to do it right now/today/maybe even tomorrow. Add to that there’s no way to mark things as unread and sometimes people do get buried in my inbox.
So yes “too busy” is a catch all for a lot of things.
No one owes anyone a message in real time. I’ve certainly had my fair share of folks who take weeks to reply.
Now that said, if someone is taking forever to reply, they might move down the priority list. For me it’s because I’m here to develop relationships with people. Weeks in between messages doesn’t really lend to that. But I also don’t expect people to reply immediately.
@mauvefox I totally get it and even people who feel a little impatient might realize that they have to delay a response or an activity in another aspect of their life. It can happen to anyone and it’s great to take a step back and imagine what someone else might be doing. Personally, I’ve become much more patient in old age. And I have a lot more time than many others here so I can often reply to messages more quickly.
Yeah I’ve been having bad delays in messages with a lot of my people I’ve been chatting with lately sadly. I wish there want because I like to keep all communication on here if possible.
@NashGal23 ty. Exactly this. I guess majority of people on here are fortunate enough to not experience it
I know I can get overwhelmed at times with messages. As this is my primary source of income, I do my best to reply quickly.
However, while I do love cuddling & I do like to get to know someone prior to a first session, I’ve also had to tell people I can’t keep messaging them constantly if they’re not going to book a session. I feel horrible when I do, but I can’t spend months taking time & energy to speak with someone, only for the person to never book an actual session or book one just to cancel/ghost/what have you when it gets near. It’s also frustrating when people request a session on here just in the hopes of getting my phone number. Nope…had too many issues with that, so my primary communication stays onsite, except in case of an emergency.
I reply as I soon as I see any message notification. It's "let's meet!' or no I don't do virtual sessions or it's a block if you are too far away and just bring nosey. Lol 😂
Yes, there is a delay. Think of it as passing paper notes in school.
Communication is much clearer off the website
.
Sending a message does not entitle you to a reply. A reply is a bonus.
If you do get a reply, "a few days" is a normal amount of time.
Typically if I don't hear from the person after say a week and a half after I sent the message/ scheduled a session I cancel and try to schedule with someone else..
hmm. I'm an enthusiast, and I don't always respond to everything right away anymore. I was at first because notifications give me ocd. but... sometimes I don't even check the site for days or weeks at a time. sometimes I check lots if something intrigued me.
when I was new or after I reactivated post a break for a few months. I would get heavy batches of messages. I'm not a pro. I'm not doing this for work. I do it when I feel like it.
sometimes, I don't always answer because all they say is hey. or how's your weekend. I don't enjoy small talk and shallow conversations. if you want to speculate about aliens and the i3/atlas though; I'm super intrigued about that and the schuuman scales. like give me something to respond to. don't get my attention to also make me do all the talking and connecting. my profile is filled out. some people who message me have nothing filled out and no photos. nothing personalized. I'm not making big efforts for someone who refuses to make any themselves.
even the site aside; I know lots of guys who might take anywhere from a few hours to a few days to get back to me. the one who was my favorite was probably cuz he had good response times. but he almost never initiated topics.
this all said. there's been plenty of ppl despite responding didn't feel my weirdness and eccentricities..and stopped saying anything. and that's fine too.
As others have mentioned enthusiasts and pros do have to go through a lot of messages and sometimes life gets in the way..Personally if I message someone about a session I usually give them about a week(like I said I know life gets in the way) and if I still haven't heard back from them I'll send a follow up message..If after a few days I still don't hear from them,I just try to find someone else for a session.
