Is there a way to disable online status? I had someone message me yesterday asking if I slept well, and when I asked what they meant, their reply was that they noticed that I was awake late at night.
That felt.. unsettling.
@ShiraCat - online status is universal. There is not a setting that can be turned on or off.
You can block people outside of CC from viewing your profile, meaning, they have to have an account and log into CC to view your last online status (date/time). Go to your profile, to settings, then scroll down to Privacy section. Make sure to turn the option ON to block outside viewing.
As for creepy messages and/or behavior, you could report them and/or block them. If you block them, they cannot see your profile in the future.

Seriously though. The way it was stated was off, but there are many socially awkward individuals who populate this site and i wouldn’t be shocked if it was someone who surmised after seeing how late you were on line that you might have insomnia. Not what I would lead with, but their intent might be entirely innocuous. But always trust your gut. If it feels off, just ignore and report them if they persist.
And yes I am awake. As you age you sleep less. I will answer any questions about if I slept well in the morning.
