@lasb i wouldn’t think you could leave karma AFTER being block ? Interesting 🤔
When you say you clicked the karma button for pros you haven’t scheduled with ….did you leave karma ?
People should definitely know before messaging someone if their race or anything will immediately disqualify them. Saves both parties time & unpleasantness. I understand not necessarily wanting to advertise that. (Not a good look, bad for business) Still, if that’s actually the reason, a a negative karma is absolutely warranted.
I sent a picture with the opening message. We scheduled, texted, then she requested more pics. I explained in the initial CC message I'm not photogenic or comfortable taking selfies. Against my best judgement took a selfie out of respect for her safety.
So she knew what you look like from the very first message because you sent a photo with that first message ... then how can you say that her cancellation was discrimination based on the last photo you sent? I'm VERY confused.
People jumping through hoops to defend someone who acted as anything but a pro. Why block after canceling? Reverse this senario and you probably get banned.
@Jubal My impression after reading about the photos is that the initial pic sent in the first message was more flattering maybe? Better lighting, an older photo, filtered whatever - who knows.
And possibly the newer photos sent right before the session showed him looking a bit different. If in fact that is even the reason the pro canceled the night before. As someone else said, there are 2 sides of the story. OP is still just guessing that she canceled because of his appearance. Either way, he’s taking it personally and it’s hurting his self esteem which I can completely relate to because of a very negative recent cuddle session which made me never want to cuddle again. And seriously I digress but that man was my age and no model himself lol sorry for veering off on a tangent….
Anyway OP I do feel your pain. Many members on CC are here because of insecurity and lack of success in the dating world and people can be cruel but we shouldn’t try to please anyone and there will be another cuddler who will think you’re amazing so I hope you can move on. And who knows, that Pro might’ve had some horrible trauma or turned out to be a bad fit for you! 🤗
Given that the pro canceled immediately after receiving a selfie, even if she received a different photo earlier, it's highly likely that this was a case of discrimination. But let's assume for the sake of argument that it wasn't discrimination based on appearance. Let's assume it was based on something else.
Discrimination or not, this pro's behavior was unequivocally unprofessional. Let's just say she canceled the session to accommodate a different client that booked more hours. That's not acceptable at all. That's disrespectful of the client's time.
With that being said, I agree with what @ShyDave said. I'd rather be canceled on than go through with the session, even if it is discrimination. I'd rather the session not happen than waste money on a pro that cannot be present with me and cannot give me the emotional support that I need.
"If roles were reversed I’d get bad karma."
If you did, you could report that karma and it would be removed. A pro is not allowed to write you a negative Karma because you discriminated against them. Say there was a pro that did not have a profile picture, and they sent you a photo after already booking a session. And then you canceled. You're allowed to do that. You're allowed to cancel a session for any reason. Even if it is based on appearance. If it's on short notice, then yes, you might owe the pro cancelation fee. But you're still allowed to cancel.
lasb, I’ve had two cuddle sessions since joining. Both showed up on time and the sessions went well. Both Pro’s told me they have guys who canceled last minute and sometimes don’t even give notice. I told them to think of it like a bank. They give out loans to people who meet all their qualifications but the banks know a certain percentage won’t pay back. They plan for this. It’s a negative part of your profession, accept it I told them.
The gentlemen who told you to move on is correct. You have the right to be upset. But such is life when dealing with people. I expect it happen to me at some time.
It’s their right to choose who they wish to cuddle with 😊 Pro’s are just normal people who have stepped forward to make a little living and make the lives of others a little better by giving them their time and touch . Learn to handle rejection in life graciously . It happens to the best of us . It’s just the reality of life. If you’re putting a good foot forward , you will eventually find someone who will want to come and see you. Until then, use this opportunity to grow and be better person . I hope you find someone that will accept your request. Tc
I do not think it had anything to do with skin color.
Assuming it had to do with race - they still have the right to say “no, I don’t feel like seeing this guy cos he’s too brown for me 🤣” I’m just using myself as an example for explaining this case . Hope that’s ok 😅 but more impor
I know that’s a diff kind of respect 😅 hang in there man. Someone’s going to accept you. Get stronger , fitter and smarter . But more importantly be kinder. Don’t return hate for hate. It makes the world a worse place .
Another appointment could be medical for themselves or anything really. Although, the block is odd. So, I’m sorry for the pro doing that.
I actually have in my profile that if someone asks me to still consider a session or will pay me more when I tell them I’m not available, they can essentially kick rocks. I’ve had plenty of clients cancel last-minute or no show, which is always frustrating. I’ve had to postpone/cancel some sessions, but I do my best to accommodate extra time for free or reduce the cost of the rescheduled session if this occurs.
You’ll likely never know what caused the pro to cancel. L.A. is a fairly populated area, so I hope you’re able to find someone else soon.
Another way to look at it is this: let's say this pro DID harbor some sort of distaste or disgust for you based on your appearance or race or whatever other factor. Would you WANT them to actually provide you with that service? For one, it probably would've been lackluster / half-hearted. Two, I wouldn't want my money going to someone so petty. She showed her true colors and/or ethic as a "professional".

You've been shown who this pro is. Maybe it's a blessing! Here's to a better outcome on you next session.
What I don't get is, if it was about looks or race, why did she keep communicating with you after seeing the initial picture? Why book with you at all?
@ShyDave writes: I would much rather a pro cancel on me based on my looks than uncomfortably endure me through an entire session. I feel like we would both end up being uncomfortable and the session not enjoyable.
💯 on this. In all seriousness, nobody is required to offer you a cuddle, pro or otherwise. When no is the answer, take it as a complete sentence and move on. There are plenty of other pros on here.
Truth is, it’s almost never about you. It’s about them and what they are processing in that instant. Who knows what thoughts entered her mind upon reading that text or seeing that picture from you - and there is no way you have control over that. Instead of enduring discomfort for a full session, I’d much rather be told no and freed up to go ask someone else.
I’ve been a victim on this site as well. It’s unfortunate that some of the things that happen on here do happen seeing as this is a site dedicated to an act which should is associated with love and kindness. My opinion is that I can’t control the opinions and actions of everyone and the messes in other peoples minds aren’t my obligation to fix. All I can do is cherish the friendships that I’ve made on here and enjoy the cuddles. There’s a saying, one man’s trash is another man’s treasure. If someone doesn’t want to cuddle with you, move on, someone else will welcome you with open arms.
This is more reason why you have to post a good number of photos of yourself. Ones that accurately represent yourself in physical stature as well as recency . Such hurts and rejections can be avoided.
