Speed Friending Events for Cuddle Friends.

It would be awesome to start Speed Friending events, for finding compatible cuddle friends. It is an event where there is a (timed)
5 minutes of "get to know you" with each and all participates. It is similar to speed dating but at the end of the event you are turning in the names of those you feel compatible as a cuddle friend. You would be contacted by the event coordinator,
if you get a match of one or more people. I'm sure this event would be a hit in Houston or any major metropolitan city.

    How would you work around the fact that almost 80% of the members on this site are men and probably a lot of them are not open to cuddling other men?

    @Babichev just like in speed dating, you make sure there's the same amount of men and women. That does mean that you need to hold seperate events for people who don't want a male with female cuddle (but you could hold those on the same day if you like anyway).

    In speed friending event I went to people went around in pairs and I met with one half of ppl there

    The reason why there are way more men than women is because men definitely expect more out of cuddling. Another indicator is the ratio between pro cuddlers. Way more women than men. Why?

    Because there is sexual undertones even in platonic cuddling.

    So, you're saying that there is a PERFECT BALANCE between men and women, for those that are here for platonic cuddles but a crazy amount of men, who can't wrap their head around the idea of touch without sexual conquest. OK. I'll buy that. Very observant.

    Just agreeing
    50% Women (the ones that understand platonic) + 50% Men (the ones that understand platonic) = 100% platonic cuddlers.
    But that ratio is broken due to all the extra men that can't wrap their head around platonic cuddling (the ones that inject sexual undertones).

    Sometimes they purposefully gender-balance by sign-up lists that are separated by gender. Sometimes they have men pay a higher fee for the event. FWIW.

    I attended a speed-dating event this year and two girls didn't show up for that.

    There have been a few LA parties created on here and lots of last-minute cancellations.

    I'm guessing a speed-dating event would end up being severely unbalanced.

    But what the fudge. shrugs I'm eating chilled chocolate and in a good mood, sign me up!

    This is a great idea! I love it, get more women there by advertising they can show up casual in lounge pants and messy hair!

    How about if the time at each table was the time it took to eat perfectly chilled pudding cups? Would much talking get done during the enjoyment of the pudding? Would a person need to talk, or would their obvious enjoyment or lack of enjoyment over the many different flavors of chilled pudding be enough to determine if the person across from you would be a good fit for cuddles? Could you get behind cuddling a person that was totally crazy over tapioca instead of chocolate?? Banana cream?

    Oh! An even better way to get women to attend is advertise all you can eat free pudding and a requirement to dress in yoga or lounge pants!! :P :P

    Speed Cuddling sounds fun in theory but good luck getting an equal number there.
