Defiantly big dogs!
I don’t have any pets now but growing up we had cats, dogs, birds, rats, lizards, ducks, chickens and tarantulas.
As an adult I had a cat that cuddled with me. So I guess my vote goes to the cats as far as cuddling is concerned.

Cats. I like that you have to earn their affection; they don't just give it like dogs. They are also quieter and have softer fur so they feel much nicer to stroke. I also like the way cats move with no jerky or sudden movements. They purr when they are content, something dogs just cannot do. And you don't have to walk them, they take care of themselves.

@pmvines - see what I mean about sudden movements, the cat is sharp because it was perfectly still. The dog is blurred because it moved. The cat is saying "how dare you take my photo without my permission?", the dog is saying "take another please".
Definitely cats! They have such different personalities. You don’t realize until you have more than one. Bonus: They’re less maintenance to take care of versus a dog.
I don't trust cats. I don't like the litter box in the house and the litter gets everywhere!
It appears my friends are divided, purrrrhapsss they need a good kitten cuddle to help them decide. ??? As fur me-ow, all animals are people too! All have souls and are equal, and I do not eat them, they are my friends. In my home there are cats and dogs and turtles, (at the moment), lol.

Bella and Bandaid (Muscovy)! I didn’t name them! Bandaid will chase Bella pecking at her hiney! Bandaid is like a lost child when I am outsides with them and walk in the house for a minute, she cries right outside the door waiting for me to come back out.

@Sideon Golden’s are the best dog ever! Had to put my Jackieboy to sleep 6/16/16 and it was one of the hardest things I have ever done. He was 13.5 ?
