There will also be a fun project on Friday Eve for anyone interested. I have titled it the “I AM Project” it is a self love reminder that our brain sends directives to our bodies from our thoughts. I’ll have markers and poster board of different sizes. (And maybe some GLITTER GLUE!!) @Healinghugs4all has a LOT of magazines and is going to help me with some collage stuff. This is where I got the inspiration for the project. I AM is a mental instruction. Start auditing your use of the words I AM because you are telling your brain what to make you. 😶 That made me sit up and take notice. Hello out there to all y’all! @Snickerdoodle17 that’s a good question. The Event is separate… kind of like a mini Cuddle Expo. There are some classes and some facilitated cuddle parties but it is NOT part of Cuddle Comfort.
It’s just fun that it is happening at the same time as our Meet & Greet. 💗
Since Covid, Cuddly people have been asking when the Cuddle Conventions are going to start back up and this gives me hope that they are.
No pressure to attend the events of course.
But… a snowy weekend with a bunch of cuddly folks all under one roof…. Heavenly. 😊

I plan to be there along with a friend. We like the idea of the event but don’t necessarily like the idea of pictures being taken at the event for the world to see like what has previously happened. Can we opt out of those? We will probably skip if not.

You are not alone in not wanting pictures of yourself or friends posted during gatherings for CC.
Many of the people attending request that they don’t want any pictures of themselves posted.
Please understand that pictures posted from various meet &greets are with CONSENT … and …even when somebody changes their mind and relates “hey I changed my mind .. I dont want my pic on the thread …” I/we immediately take care of that . It’s always about CONSENT.
I have been to a few of these gatherings and have posted many pics over the years on this forum. I have had the experience of people saying “um I know I didn’t say no about posting that pic but now I’ve changed my mind “ Please know that we will manage that situation post haste and you can always DM if you aren’t being heard by anyone. Please don’t think of skipping a CC event because of pics being posted on the forum or anywhere else. We are adamant about getting permission and agreement on pics posted here 👍. I’m messaging you privately also if you have any concerns. We would very much appreciate you and your friends presence in this gathering 😊. We are here to help , listen, relate, understand, sympathize, among many other feelings. Hoping this response helps somewhat in any concerns anyone may have . Thank you for verbalizing your concerns and your boundaries. I appreciate you and as @OhioMike mentions… you’re not the only one who has concerns about photos and the policy around them.
I’ve been to most of the Meet & Greets (facilitated quite a few of them) and we always remind people to ASK for consent from all parties from the beginning. Even about taking the photos. (In some of the game photos you will see people hiding their faces or stepping out of the photo because we announce that there are pics being taken.)
It would probably be useful if everyone who posted a picture added the phrase “Photos taken and posted with Consent” but alas… that is not always the case. @OhioMike is also really good about mentioning Enthusiastic Consent means you can also change your mind. 🩵

This is a non-cuddle event to meet other cuddlers in person. Cuddling maybe-could occur if parties are interested, but the focus of this event is to meet other members of Cuddle Comfort in an environment without the expectation of cuddling. Cuddlers from outside of Colorado are welcome to join.
Also, these Meet & Greets are for CC members only, if anyone has been previously banned from the site they are not allowed access.
Please remember to ask permission re photos etc. Taking pictures or posting them is a fun way to commemorate the event and the new connections, but we are all hopefully a little more educated and considerate as it comes to consent. PLEASE ASK BEFORE TAKING OR POSTING ANY PICTURES OF THE EVENT.
